  1. When l hear about video game rage, I can't help but think of this; But ok, for real. I'm not one to overreact. When I'm angry, I'm usually more angry that I look. I can't think of a moment where I really close my rag and broke something if whatever, but I have a my fair share of frustrated rants to the nobody else in the room.
  2. It's like the sprite from "Snake" has literally escaped from the game and is now running amok around the circuit board being chased by Fallout Eyebots.
  3. Been playing Ghost of Tsushima and Fallout 4 lately.
  4. Surprised I haven't replied to this topic yet, but I'd suggest something like these, A Cooling Stand A cooling lap pad I actually own both of these exact models (She uses the lap pad and I use the stand typically). They do help. The stand is more efficient because it gives the laptop more open space with more air so the hot air from the cooling ducks is dispensed very easily, but of course you really need a flat, sold surface like a table to place it on, you can't really use this on your lap or a bed. The lap pad is a great alternative if you use your laptop on your lap or on a bed quite allot because it makes a warm laptop more comfortable to use on your lap and doesn't allow heat to reach and build up on a mattress or cloth. So both recommended. These are the links to these exact model of lap pad and stand on the UK Amazon store, but there's many different models out there to choose from.
  5. First, Welcome to VGR. Second, respect. That's old school. Third, could share more about the restoration of the old consoles you spoke of and how you get them to work these days? I can barely get a Nintendo 64 to work.
  6. First, I'm going to go back to something I said in a thread about Cyberpunk 2077 being delayed. Now, what I say there still applies, but it's a little different this time because I'm convinced this delay would not have happened if wasn't for Halo Infinite's poor showing at the XBox showcase with some less than impressive visuals. I'm glad the game had been delayed because it clearly needs work, but this means no XBox brand exclusive will launch with the XBSX console now. It would take one hell of an argument to convince me that the usual development problems would be enough to convince Microsoft to make this choice. I'm not wearing a tin foil hat, I'm just saying that if the public response to the gameplay demo at the showcase wasn't as negative as it was, I doubt this delay would have happened. I think they would have released it with the plasters stuck to it then fixed it as time went on. That is pretty much the plan for the game anyway, to continuously update and add to it over the years. That's why it called Halo "Infinite".
  7. The game had an English voice over when I played it. I was trying to avoid the trailer for the new remaster of the game called "Full Body" and for some reason couldn't find the original trailer in English.
  8. Not likely, they'll be playing the PlayStation Brain Chip, while we reminisce about good old days of controllers and VR.
  9. I might think of something else later, but the one that comes to mind right now would be Catherine on the PS3/XB360. It's a dark, seedy tale, told within the nightmares of a troubled yound man torn between the feelings of commitment to his current love and the temptations of a new beauty on the scene and... it's a puzzle game.
  10. Weird, I've been on android for years, several phones and never had a problem doing any of those things. I just choose a track stored on my phone and away I go. But to the point. You absolutely right. Epic are not saints here, there's only concern here is themselves and have been kinda trying to weaponize the public against Apple (and now Google as well, being behind Android), and that's kinda shady. I suppose it will be amusing to watch these multibillion dollar cooperations bring irony to word "Cooperate" and bicker like children, so my message to them is...
  11. Come on, man! Nobody just joins a gaming forum with no proper introduction then immediately proceed post links to some obscure indie game "they just happened to find" on steam. It just doesn't happen.
  12. It's a digital sale. You buy it on the Switch console itself through Nintendo's online store, the eShop.
  13. @The Blackangel Tell the truth, I'm not that crazy about Jack, or any bourbon for that matter. I am a Scot, so...
  14. It's not so much about deleting these post every time. SSP is OK, there just needs to be rules drawn up, implemented and enforced when it comes to SSP so don't we get these one time posters who show up, lazily copy and past their promo, then never come back. As well as, of course, the affiliate spammers and people who aren't prepared to be honest out the fact they are involved with said project, like here. And yes, somebody on the forum to do all that.
  15. Unfortunately for you, I understand completely. People who come onto the forum with no intention of contributing anything, only to peddle something, are not appreciated. At the very least you could have been honest about it, instead of this "Hello everyone! 👋 this is my first post on this forum, so please be understanding. Look at this game I'm totally not involved with!" bullshit.
  16. What a world we're living when you can play a game like Civ'6 on your phone and for free and it fills me with dread.
  17. I disagree. Whether come as a Loot Box (and I'll get to those) or a straight up purchase, there's basically three kinds of microtransactions, and even if players don't buy them, they all make games worse in their own ways. 1) Pay to win. It's obvious why this makes games worse to point where I don't feel I need to explain why. 2) Time savers. This is takes the form of XP boosts, using premium currency to advance timers and such like. These make games worse because the games themselves have to become a tedious grind without them, otherwise nobody would buy them. So the games that include these have to deigned to be more tedious and frustrating than need to be. It has to get to the point where the money hungry bastards behind idea know you would literally pay money to not play the game. In what world is that a mark of a good game? Where you literally would at least be tempted to pay money to not plat it? 3) Cosmetics. Now, these sound more innocent that the other two, but there's a hidden darkness behind this that may in fact make them the worst of the three. When I was a teenager in High School, there was bullying because of course there was. Amongst the usual, cliché motives behind this there was big deal a bout clothing and, more specifically, shoes. If a kid came to school with cheap trainers as opposed to the latest, expensive pair from Adidas or whatever, they'd be ridiculed because that was a sign or poverty and land that kind in the category of low social status. I bring this up because cosmetics in video games are not only having the same effect, but that's exactly what they're supposed to do. For example, and this does happen, if a kid logged onto Fortnight and was seen by his/her peers sporting a slandered skin, the next time said peers see them at school, the same ridicule for pretty much the same reason happens again. There is a video on YouTube somewhere of an executive from advertising company literally spelling this out and proudly declaring this as the"genius" behind video game cosmetics. Sadly, I can't find the video, but will keep trying to find it or some other media on this and add it to thread later if I find it. This all puts pressure on that poor kid to get that fashionable new pair of designer trainers, or in this case, that fancy new skin, just to stop the social pressure and torment. Such low-life, vile yet brilliant manipulation, it's actually impossible not to be impressed. Then, there's loot boxes. Oh my god, these things... Loot boxes are specially deigned to use the same kind of phycological manipulation the gambling has used for decades to make you feel compelled to have "one more go", or"I'll get it this time". The really disturbing thing about them is these loot boxes are included in games that children play, or even in games made specifically FOR children. This deliberate targeting of people even more vulnerable to that kind of predatory manipulation that gambling mechanics employ is, without doubt, immoral. Several governments around the world are questioning whether it's even legal. Some have even decided it isn't. All this, all of what I said, is to make money. These companies don't care about how this hurts the games they create, nor even how it hurts the people who play them. I know that free-to-play games (like the aforementioned Fortnight) need to do something to make their game profitable, I understand that, but the purpose of these microtransactions is not sustain a game, it's to make money. To scrape the last penny out of its payers and tricking them into thinking that it was worth it through some sick phycological manipulation. FUCK Microtransactions and especially FUCK Loot Boxes.
  18. Not necessarily. It depends on what hardware has been installed. Yes, of course you can build/buy a PC more powerful than a console, but they're also more expensive.
  19. No, I'm not gonna buy you game, because I'm sick of you people coming here with no intention of making any contribution to this community and forum whatsoever, just here to peddle stuff.
  20. Here's an article from PC Gamer that goes into more detail, but basically Epic reduced the cost of Fortnight's premium currency, V-Bucks, on all platforms by up to 20% if you were to use the preferred payment method direct to epic games. This has not sat well with Apple as the preferred payment method paid directly to Epic bypasses their 30% cut though buying V-Bucks on the IOS store. As a result, Fortnight has now been removed from the Apple Store. What I find amusing about this is that Apple insist that they enforce the policies and conditions on the app-store for developers/publishers to "keep people safe" They repeat that a lot in the article. My arse. This is obviously about money. I have never and will never own a piece of i-crap in my life and this is why. Apple are scum, through and through. I'm sure Epic knew this was a very real possibility when they made this decision, but I just get the impression they're fed up how the money from mobile payments of Fortnight was split, so just gave them the middle finger. And you know what, I like that. You could call it a bit irresponsible of Epic, yes, but I think the people will rally behind them on this turning Apple into the bad guys here. Epic aren't taking this laying down either, they're already in the process of suing. Honestly, I doubt they'll win. Whilst I think Epic have the moral high ground, I'm feel ad to admit that I do think Apple has the legal high ground. Still, best of luck to them. What do you think, was this bold move by Epic more born out of childish spite or for the benefit of the players? Is this Apple trying to be fair and is just imply asking everyone who sells goods and/services on the store follow the same rules, or are they just greedy and didn't want to lose a cut?
  21. A little of topic, but basically I'm talking about the prejudiced man baby who simply can't stand playing a game with a lead that isn't some muscular, power armoured douche, where women exist for no reason other than to ogle at and where inclusion people of colour, women with actual depth and personality, ethnic minorities or on the LGBTQ spectrum can't be allowed because to "political". I hate that.
