  1. Just because the dev's are up front about, doesn't mean this wasn't created with the same lack of imagination. There's a million games like this. Like @skyfire said, even DOOM itself evolved to improve, so I just don't understand why dev's still think that doing this formula again and again is gonna help them stand out. Even the title, Hellbound, sounds like the first thing they wrote down. Sorry to shit on this so much, but I am getting a little sick of these FPS's that feel they have to be DOOM to feel old skool. Keep the basic environmental interactions and more floaty, fast-paced gameplay, but do something different with theme and design.
  2. Crafted with all the imagination of DOOM cloners cloning DOOM, because this is clearly a DOOM clone.
  3. Got the add. Thanks.
  4. I used to do the same thing with some of my old PC CD-ROM games as a kid. Dungeon Keeper, Screamer (A shitty old racing game, but it had a cool soundtrack) and, best of all, Carmageddon. Of course, I didn't realize until years later that Carmageddon's soundtrack was actually an instrumental version of Fear Factory's Demanufacture album. So I could have, you know, listened to the album.

  6. In answer, not any more easily than I could do regular sports professionally. I have talents for pushing self-propelled lawnmowers and sarcasm, and that's about it
  7. Have you added me yet @AndreiMirfi? I don't appear to have got any notifications an I dan't know your screenname or any details about your steam profile. If you don't want to share them publicly, DM me.
  8. I 100% get what you're saying and understand why you like this game and why you find it therapeutic like you said, but It's not for me. I don't mind violence in a video game, I just prefer it when it has real context in the game, like in The Last of Us games or if it's clearly a romp like in DOOM or more humorous like the Borderlands' series. Hatred sits in an awkward place somewhere in between them. It's humourless, brutal, dark and stylish, but there's no tale to tell, no context or motive, and quite deliberately so. That's makes the violence in this game more uncomfortable and less engaging because you engage in mindless, brutal acts for no reason. The developers were going for shock value and controversy in a very deliberate way and I don't like it when dev's do that because it feels lazy. It's the mating call of a badly designed game that the dev's know it couldn't stand on its own merit and quality. Strip away the brutality and grainy art style from a hatred and what you end up with is a pretty average twin stick shooter. I totally get why this would feel therapeutic to someone, even me. We've all got into a place where we're pissed off and just wanna rage. Hatred is the digital equivalent of a punching bag. I completely understand it, but I can't get over the fact that all dev's really wanted to do with this is cause a controversy, and that's the wrong reason to do anything.
  9. The only thing I really have is the Fallout 4 Pip Boy. I have collections of games and stuff like that, but not really much in terms of memorabilia.
  10. I take mobile gaming about as seriously as I do waterbombs, but still there are a number of such things available. I did a search on UK's Amazon page to maybe give you some inspiration, but these things don't appear that expensive and all relatively similar. The XBox One controller has the most common compatibility with other devices, so it seems most of them are designed around that.
  11. I'm just gonna say, give it time.

    Hi all

With the PS5, and XBSX for that matter, being backwards compatible, sadly that means these consoles will barely be worth the plastic they're made of at trade in when the new systems launch.
  13. Obviously talking on a mic is better. It's so obvious in fact that, with all due respect, I don't really see the what point you're trying to make. It's like asking someone if they're hungry would they rather eat food or chew on an empty chocolate bar wrapper.
  14. It's more like windows, It's a modern OS. Like I said, I've never used it, so I'm not the one to ask on it specifically.
  15. It's an operating system, like Windows or MacOS. Or what Android is to a smartphone or tablet. I don't know that much about Linux specifically because I've never used it, but let's call a free alternative to Microsoft Windows and that's the very basic description.
  16. We have basically the same topic up already here. Please check for current topics on the subject before posting new ones.
  17. N64. Sony may great and revolutionary games came out for that console and so many memories. Open 3D worlds and 4-plyer multiplayer, it was just so fresh and exiting. Goldeneye, Zelda OOT, Banjo Kazooie, Mario 64, 1080 Snowboarding, Donky Kong 64, Lylat Wars (Starfox 64), so much good stuff. True, both the console and some of its games haven't aged as well as even some older systems like the NES and SNES, and I lived the PAL region which makes the console even harder to use today (All thanks to region locking and those goddamn Australians), but it's still holds a special place in my heart.
  18. I don't feel like I'm living on another planet, but I do want to.
  19. Take this with a grain of salt, but a French online retailer listed the pricings for the PS5 and accessories mostly likely as a holding, but it's got out into the internet. This might be fake, but I think the pricing makes sense here. The listing is in Euros obviously, but ishould be the same in US$. Again, like I said, grain of salt.

    Hi all

Welcome to the VGR forums. The PS5 does look promising, but I'm personally gonna wait I know the price and the launch line up of games before I make a decision. The bug problem I've got is that I'll probably have to upgrade my TV to makes the most out of a next gen console, and that's the real cost.
  21. Welcom to VGR.
  22. I thought AC4 was fantastic, but then didn't really play AC for a while. I got into AC Odessey more recently and I've love it. It's a very different kind of game to older AC's, more RPG like, but those elements have been done well. Yes, the microtransactions are annoying just through existing, but I it's still a really good game.
  23. It Isn't, I've looked into the model. The Y-splitter has two male ends to one female end.
  24. Yeah, I hated having all this spare time at home to spend with the family, binge-watch stuff and play video games. Seriously though, you actually are right. I do like my job and even though I like being at home even I would go mad sooner or later.
