  1. It's called Picture-in-Picture or PIP, it's a fairly common feature in video editing/streaming software.
  2. I actually can't believe their bothering at all. It was realeasd in incomplete state, reviews were mixed, and it was a commercial flop having only sold around 630,000 copies worldwide. The only reason I can think of is that their trying to cash in on the success of the far better NieR: Automata.
  3. How ironic would it be if Square Enix release a "Complete Edition" 😆
  4. SOCOM, Now that's a franchise I haven't heard from in a while.... I'll keep an eye but this still seems a long way from that kind of quality. Still it sounds good in concept, especially for multiplayer.
  5. Your kidding right? It's been on consoles since day one! How could you have possibly not realised that? There even exist numerous memes and jokes about the sheer number of platforms that the game has been released and re-released on like... ...Ok, Is that legit? I thought it was a joke that Amazon and Bethesda made for E3 on the expense on how many times it's been re-released. I hope that does (and it should) work better for you. From what I've read the Switch version still has the usual minor hic ups that exist in every port like floating NPC's and some audio issues but most of the truly game breaking bugs have been ironed out.
  6. I still think you should wait, but If you insist a can prepare a build for you on PCPartPicker. I just need a few bits of information: Location: To get accurate pricing and availability your local currency I need to know roughly where you are. Send me a PM if you don't want this public. Budget: How much are you willing to spend? Including essential peripherals like mouse, keyboard and monitor(s) in the budget if you need them. If budget isn't a concern then let me know about... ...Performance: You say you "want to be able to run graphics smoothly and have the ram and space needed for speed and being able to have digital copies of games" but this isn't very specific. If you can give a bit more detail about the resolution and refresh rate of the the monitor(s) that would be helpful. If you can't I'll match your budget as best I can. NAS Storage: You say you are willing to buy and run your games from Network Access Storage, but I don't recommend this for gaming since as it can slow up load times and some clients might not be compatible. If you do decide to go for it how much storage do you need? You may also want to consider the state of your home network as I defiantly don't recommend doing this through WiFi, at least not for you main gaining rig. You will also to consider this in your budget and there are alternatives like Steam Link if it is ultimately impractical. Is it JUST for gaming? Judging by what you have said so far I'd assume yes but if there is anything else you would use it for (work, video editing, streaming ect) let me know. Space: I'll assume again based on your earlier posted that you do have a space for it but is it limited in any way? Like the size of your desk and anything else already on it. Astetics: Do looks matter and if they do describe how. Well I think that covers it. You can replay or let me know through a PM.
  7. This was due to known issue with the creation engine and the PS3 memory, it affected Skyrim as well with one attempt at a fix resulting in the infamous "Dragon's flying backwards" bug!
  8. I personally would advise against buying/building a gaming PC right now because next gen consoles are right round the corner. You don't want to spend $1000 on a PC and then 6 months later a $500 console arrives on the market that out-performs it. You will get better parts or at least the same parts cheaper if wait a little longer.
  9. Well... Did you actully enjoy the experience or is useless trophies all that matter?
  10. I love both but I'm definitely more an Elder Scrolls Guy. I'm still playing so much of Skyrim (albeit with mods) to this very day. I might get into more detail when I have more time (right now I'm posting from my phone) but overall I just escape and get immersed in the word of The Elder Scrolls a bit more. Not to mention each Fallout game I've played has at least one aspect that pissed me of greatly. With Fallout 3 it was the main quest that end's with obvious and massive plotholes nor has any proper closure unless you buy the DLC, I hated the crafting and busy work in Fallout 4 and New Vegas is the game that on both PC and Console has never worked properly for me. On PS3 I had a ton of issues with VATS and on PC it crashes, every 10 minutes, guaranteed, even after installing a bunch of fixes.
  11. I haven't played them myself but far as I know most fans seem to agree that the SNES game is the best entry. Beyond that I have nothing to contribute aside from beating @The Blackangel to the inevitable post of the AVGN episode! BWAHAHAHAHAHA HA... HA!
  12. There have been a number of games based on The Last Airbender and one based on The Legend of Korra (which I have played) and well... they mostly blow. But there is one unofficial project being made in Dreams on PS4 by a guy called "Elca" and in terms of concept, it's pretty close to what you’re saying! I don't have Dreams so I don't know far it's come but looks very promising.
  13. Thanks @The Blackangel! I nominate; @The Blackangel @StaceyPowers @Shagger @Dead2009
  14. It sounds like a ploy for the advertisement to get people's attention/clicks and as long as it gets that it doesn't matter. I see this kind of stuff all time amd I wouldn't think anything of it.
  15. They are probably going to be between £450 - £550 ($500 - $600) and considering the tech that it is in them, that's not at all unreasonable. The equivilent PC right now is about £2000. As for who will win the next Console War? I think it's going to come down to who has the better lineup of games within the first year. If Sony announces backwards compatibility that could make a big diffenrce to.
  16. I'm not sure if it's a portrayal of a "gender-neutral" character as such but It's still quite interesting. In Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, two of the villans you meet are Alfred Ashford and his Twin sister Alexia, the grandchildren of the Umbrella co-founder Edward Ashford. But it turns out later on in the game that Alexia was missing (presumed dead) and that in her absence Alfred because pretty much lost his mind and started imitating his sister, wearing dresses, changing his voice and it actually took me by surprise. Until it was revealed I genuinely thought they were two different people. One character who has been the subject of much debate around the issue is Birdo from Mario 2, who might be the earliest example of a trans character in a game. It all comes form the original English manual, but references to this have been removed in later releases like Super Smash Brothers: Well like it or not creatures that are "genderless" or "androgynous" is a thing that legitimitly exists in nature so take it up with Gaia. I can think of a few example's in fantasy and science fiction as well.
  17. I'll leave the The "One Night Live" performance here for anyone who is curious: But sadly to the best of my knowledge, all the recording equipment was turned of during the epilogue sequence so no recording of it exists aside from transcrips like the one you posted.
  18. The point that me a @StaceyPowerswe're touching on in the other topic is that it shouldn't make any difference to how you delveop your characters whether they are gay or not. In the case of The Last of Us and Ellie it's a great story and character, NOT because she's gay but because of how you get invested in her through her and Joel's journey. Not to mention the perfect work from Ashley Johnson, the writers and animators. In my opinion it's when writers try to bullseye in and highlight on their gay characters being gay that they come across as being self absorbed and obnoxious. Just write it naturally making it about the person rather thn their sexuality and it'll be fine. On topic now, when it comes to gay characters specifically when it comes to games, with the exception of Ellie and The Last of Us... I honestly am a little disappointed to declare that I don't have that much to say. I haven't played any Bioware Games (Mass Effect and Dragon Age) that extensively and the only other example I can think of is Life is Strange along with the Before the Storm Prequel and they are dependent at least partly on player choice. Of course in Skyrim you can marry an NPC of the same gender but without mods it makes no difference at all so that doesn't count. There's also the quite unclear nature of the relationship between Vanille and Fang in Final Fantasy XIII, but that game sucks.
  19. Neither, you want a man's game try Rugby. It's basically American Football without the padding!
  20. The XBox has a slightly faster clock on the CPU and more Compute Units on the GPU, PS5 has a faster clock on the GPU and a faster SSD. It's all swings and roundabouts, the difference between the two in terms of performance will be minimal if it's even noticeable at all.
  21. So the irrelevance makes it, well relevant. That's actually a great point. Ellie being gay doesn't make any difference and that's the way it should be. I would say it would be great to have to these barriers break without the world ending but let's face it! In just the first few months of this year, the US tried to start World War 3, half of Australia has been on fire and now there is a global pandemic where people are going bonkers over bog roll. I think it's time all people, regardless of nationality, political standpoint, religions beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity or race stand together and declare in one voice!......(LINK)
  22. I think I probably peaked around the N64 and PS2 era... and have since just gotten worse.
  23. We know it definitely goes as far back as the PS4, but any further I don't know. Mark Cerny did mention backwards compatibility during his presentation but he wasn't very clear about whether the PS5 actually has it.
  24. I've just seen Mark Cerny's breakdown of the PS5 and although it's how it looks on paper, it's not completely true and there is a bit more to it, the PS5's GPU has less Compute Unit's so It can run at higher clock speeds, the TFLOPS are lower but the actual game performance depends on whether the game want's to process faster or want a larger chunk of data each time it cycles. I agree that the CPU in the XBox has the legs and I do like the fact that developers have to choose between SMT threading and higher clock speeds, I'd really like to know if they can do with a selection of cores or if they have to disable SMT for all 8. When it comes to storage and expanding storage, I have some issues with both of them. First of all wether, it is 1TB of 825GB is arbitrary to me since neither one is going to be large enough anyway. I get why they aren’t bigger of course, high-speed SSD’s are very expensive the architecture in both systems has been designed specifically to work with them. A regular HDD or even a lower speed SSD simply would not cut it, especially for XBox Series X or PS5 games. So in terms of balancing cost and storage, the ~1TB is a compromise that I am prepared to accept. The difference here is in expansion options and again, I have issues with both. The PS5 will allow you to use M.2 SSD’s but you can’t just use ANY M.2 SSD. It has to be a PCI 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD that runs at 5.5GHz or better that fits in the SSD tray in the console. Mark Cerny mentioned that there will be a certification process but not in time for the launch. This is potentially a big problem because some people will want to expand the storage right away and I think ALLOT of users are going to end up buying the wrong thing. With that in mind, XBox would seem to have a better solution with the proprietary storage cards, but these have problems too. First of all they are almost certainly going to be VERY expensive. I actully think they will be more expensive than the equivalent M.2 SSD you could get for the PS5 and you will need to buy another 2 or 3 over the course of the generation. Also proprietary storage like this can be a real headache since it gives you less choice, just any anyone who has ever owned a VITA about the Memory Sticks! Overall, I actully prefer the PS5 architexure because of the only differnce which I think is significant but a lot of people might not take much notice of: XBox Series X PS5 The PS5 will demand specifically a PCI 4.0 NVMe SSD for a reason! The XBox might have slightly more powerful components, but the silicone fabric linking them all together has only around half the bandwidth. This means that there is a significantly larger chance of bottlenecking between the CPU/GPU and the SSD storage, which means it's going to have to use more RAM to keep the data it needs closer to home and overall just be less efficient. Whether this makes any difference further down the line only time will tell but Sony has definitely designed the more robust architecture here.
  25. The Hunger Games, I don't think any other film pissed me off like that did. Nauseating camerawork, bland characters and some of the most utterly nonsensical plot points I have ever experienced. Not to mention how it blatantly rips off Battle Royale.
