The Blackangel Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Contra has to be mentioned. The 2 player co-op mode is amazing. One that I personally hate, but was massively successful is Donkey Kong Country. The co-op mode on that one is a great example of an excellently designed co-op.
DylanC Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Pixel Junk Monsters, Call Of Duty Zombies mode, Halo Firefight mode, Gears of War Horde mode are terrific. Co-op tower defense games and Splitscreen wave-based endless modes always work well because it relies so heavily on working together as a team. Oh, and Overcooked. That game is soooo much fun and is built for co-op.

killamch89 Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Halo is an all-time favorite and combat arms zombie mode also deserves a shout as well because it was one of the best zombie modes I have ever encountered in a FPS.
