Why don't cartoon shows get video games as much these days?
Carlos X and one other reacted to Family sedan for a topic
I don't think the new cartoon shows are that iconic anymore. I mean decades from now what of the current crop of cartoons are you going to remember?2 points -

Early isometric games

Final Fantasy games and everything related to it ticks for me in most cases and it's why Final Fantasy Tactics isn't far from my best early isometric games.1 point -
I finally conceded, and have giving up on Resident Evil...

Personally, I believe that the character of Lady Dimitrescu really won and deserves the award by a long stretch.1 point -

I'll admit it: Lady Dimitrescu was a great boss. Got to love the way she turns into a black dragon thing. Let's keep telling Capcom this belongs in RE! 😛 https://venturebeat.com/2021/12/27/resident-evil-village-wins-the-not-perfect-but-most-memorable-award-for-2021/1 point -
One of classmates then in college gifted me a CD game for my PS1. I can't really remember the name of the game now but it's a mission game.1 point

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
DC reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
Don't fret about it. It's always welcome. Hell you could say it in July if you wanted. You would definitely get some friendly ribbing about it, but it would still be welcome. For all we know you may be planning something that would have you out of reach for the whole xmas season, and you just wanted to get yours to everyone. So it's all good.1 point -
Probably too late to say Merry Christmas, but... DEFINITELY... Happy New Year to everyone!1 point

It's the same thing with EA, Ubisoft, Activision and so much more of all these gaming companies. So, I'm not surprised Capcom copied that too.1 point -

Pre-Destruction RE2 RE3 Post-Destruction RE: Outbreak RE: Outbreak #2 (technically just an expansion) ^ These are the only good spin off games that feature Raccoon City... 😞 Because we also received this nonsense, too... Resident Evil (first movie, with Alice in the city near the end) RE: Operation Raccoon City RE: Apocalypse (2nd RE movie, by Paul Anderson) Umbrella Corps (****ing online multiplayer trash!) RE: Degeneration (first released animated movie, with a flashback) RE2 remake RE3 remake The Ghost Survivors (DLC in RE2) Resident Evil: Resistance (DLC in RE3) Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021 movie reboot) Resident Evil (New Netflix series, but not sure of its name, although it may just be simply "Resident Evil") *I probably shouldn't bother adding any DLC. But... yeah. It's sad how Capcom keeps milking Raccoon City, and soon to be RE4, and no doubt other games... 😛 So there you have it. It's a case of Capcom ripping off other games and films for their sequels, that are not related to Raccoon City. But basically, this is all they keep on doing. So if they are ever to well and truly move things ahead, they need to stop going back to 1998. Because I don't care how popular the old games are. Just play those said old games, and don't buy the new crap that is being made, because Capcom is only interested in receiving your hard earned dosh...1 point -

Exactly, a major part of their plot was certainly centered on Raccoon City and once the city was gone, they lost it.1 point -

Capcom lost their touch once they destroyed Raccoon City. They really didn't know the way forward from there and it was very obvious from what they kept doing.1 point -
I have never had any issues with CDKeys ever since I have been making use of it for years. There is no way I would compare them with G2A.1 point

Early isometric games
Heatman reacted to Withywarlock for a topic
Probably Final Fantasy Tactics, which I'd bought more for the name than the style of gameplay. Little did I know how much I'd come to love Strategy Roleplaying Games (SRPG) a decade or so after that one, and how isometric games would play a huge part in deciding what would be one of my all time favourite genres.1 point
