  1. Always been super passionate about horror movies. My personal favourites are Alien, The Thing, Halloween, The Shining, IT, Insidious and Scream. What're your faves?

  2. I'm going to exclude franchises like Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man, SMB, etc for this one. My favorite will always be Blaster Master. It's just a flat out awesome game. As I've said before it's the perfect mix of fantasy and sci-fi. Here's some shots of just a few of the bosses you'll face:

  3. It entirely depends on what you want from the game, really. For me, exploration is a huge aspect, but I know people who are more keen on space fights. I also enjoy space fights if they are done well, don't get me wrong. There's also a difference between a space sim and a game whose setting is space. Differences are also in space fights. Some people tend to enjoy dogfighting-like combat more, while others will enjoy the capital ship combat more. I like them both, and if the game can give you a distinct feeling between those, it does its job great. The beautiful thing about space games is their diversity. Almost no game is the same as any other. It's a smaller genre compared to some others, but it has its masterpieces for sure. A lot of space sim games can be a bit daunting to players who haven't gotten into them yet as they can be really complicated in terms of controls and mechanics, but I'd encourage them to play them nontheless.

  5. What i would like to see added is mostly aesthetics, since i am very familiar with Invision Power Board. having used it on a forum i owned and manged for several years, i think adding the sidebar with some useful information would look nice and be helpful too, somethings I'd put there might be Today's Birthday's and Upcoming Events (both of those only show up when there is something to show) Recent Status Updates, perhaps a list of Recent Discussions for quick access, or other relevant information and maybe have who's online, above the forum and member statistics at the bottom under all the forums. Also something else that could be enabled is the option for a different forum views, the traditional table view should be default as it is of course, but maybe enabled Fluid view as an option, that lists the topics on the index. I don't know if you guys have the Gallery and Blogs addons but something like that might be useful too. Also while I do like the default theme, having the option for a light theme beyond the IPB Default might be a nice addition. That's all i can think of right now, but i really like what you guys have here.

  6. I think every review must be taken as one person's opinion, whether that be a regular user or paid reviewer, everyone has their biases, some intentional, some unintentional, collectively user reviews can be helpful but even that is not infallible, that's why it's important to get as many different opinions as possible from as many sources as possible, if your on the fence about something. With review bombing, both negative and in the case with Ubisoft and Assasin's Creed Unity, positive, reviews might not always be indicative of the game itself, but of the company or companies behind it, so take each review individually and see if they have valid reasoning for their review, mostly any "review bombed" review can be easily identified, so if the reasons behind a game being review bombed aren't a concern to you, then ignore those reviews. As for the practice of review bombing, mostly of which is used negatively, i understand and like the idea of customers having a voice, and it has an effect to be sure, it also does help make others aware if there are some major issues, they might not have been aware of, but it also does make it more difficult for those who might not care about the issues, so perhaps there is a better way to be heard, i don't know, but it does work, as it hurts the bottom line when users are turned away by the bad reviews, and that's what companies tend to listen to, anything that hurts the bottom line. So, I think that is important too.

  7. Same thing in my city, I was able to tickets for Sunday morning with good seats. But I had to block facebook from my phone, there has been a lot of spoilers everywhere for the past week. Even today at my work office they where streaming the goddamn movie in the cafeteria.

  8. Superb list, Alyxx. I've seen all of those except the Twin Peaks flick (I've seen a few episodes but none of the movies). I used to love Eraserhead as a kid. Such a weird movie. The Thing is legit one of my personal faves. You seen The Void yet? That's very John Carpenter/The Thing-esque.
