  1. Goldeneye will never happen, as I think Activision owns the 007 licensing, at least I think so. I get your point though, because I don't know if a remaster or reboot would be the same. It wouldn't feel the same I mean. Maybe they could make the graphics look more cartoon like, to kind of match the older style of game. They could even have another studio handle it. Maybe an indie studio instead. I still would like to have a new Conker game at the very least.
  2. Oh for sure, it doesn't come close to actual war. But I'm glad to see more games show the horrors of war and go into more detail about the impact of war and why it's so bad, because it can be used to push people away from it even. Compare that to something like Call of Duty today, where they're mostly all about action and less on story, and about making you feel like a bad ass. Those games don't usually have meaning. All the publishers want is action and fireworks. I'm sorry to hear that. I would never be able to handle any form of military myself. I could maybe handle something like the National Guard, but I'd die if I tried out for the Marines.
  3. I say give it a go. Can't hurt to try it out and see how it feels on you. As for grinding for stuff, I'm not trying to care much for all that. I'm just going to collect stuff, build my characters as best I can, and see how it goes. I just wish traversing was a bit faster, but I suppose they may add options for driving and longer stamina meters. I think you gain wishes by playing in the world. I noticed I got a few of them and was able to open some loot box thing. I've only played around 2 hours or so by now, but it's quite fun. I imagine it will get very grindy as you continue to play though, so I'll try to update you if it starts to become that.
  4. Source - MP 1ST According to MP 1ST, the PlayStation 5 will release updates for the fan itself. I guess, depending on the load of certain games, the fan will spin depending on that data instead. It's a pretty interesting idea, and could help protect the console even more in the long run.
  5. I believe the recent beta has ended for the upcoming Black Ops - Cold War. I sadly did not take advantage of the beta myself, but was considering it. But, last time I checked they said it would only be two days and I noticed it's already been two days, so I was too late. 😞 But, for those who have had a chance to experience the beta, how was it? Do you think it's the same usual COD? Or have they don't anything new? (I doubt it lol).
  6. It's a given this discussion will go right to Conker and Banjo-kazooie, but there are other classics under Rare's belt. What would you like to see them revive? I for sure want more Conker, we haven't had him in years. It's time to give the guy a revival. I would love to see Banjo-Kazooie in a new game as well, one closer to the original games and not what the last game was. The one that shall not be named lol. You could also include Perfect Dark, and a new Killer Instinct would be nice too. Discuss! 🙂
  7. Control Ultimate Edition's physical version on Xbox One, requires you to connect to XBL in order the play. Want to know the reason why that is? It's because the physical version of the game is not complete. They had to release an update to include the rest of the ultimate edition, and that's why an internet connection is required early on. So, you will only need to do this once. But, this gives me concerns, because what if the server at some point goes down? Would that game then be locked at that point? At least when it concerns Xbox One consoles. Read more on this article here - Eurogamer
  8. A game I'm going to talk about now is Donkey Kong Country. My goodness, this game was so iconic at the time. I remember the first time I played it, thinking this was it, this is how good graphics will look. lol But seriously, the graphics still look solid to this day and that gameplay, my god that gameplay is fantastic. Playing the cart levels was always a challenge, but I eventually got it down. Plus the music in this game is top notch as well. The water level music alone chills me right out. I love it!
  9. Oh for sure, games like Assassin's creed are going to hog those drives. Just the next COD alone is going to eat into nearly half of the storage of the new gen consoles. Or so I imagine at the rate they're going. 2TB isn't going to be enough for most hardcore gamers out there.
  10. I think that would be cool. Even if it's not 100% realistic, I'd love to live in a vr world for a little while, just to see what it would be like. But, I do wonder how that would affect the mental health of someone, to live in a VR headset forever.
  11. Exactly! I think it's because people don't know how advanced games have gotten, so they still think it's for kids. Or they've never had time with an actual game. I remember playing Call of Duty in front of my aunt, who is often judgmental on that sort of stuff. But she was kind of mesmerized how real it looked. She didn't call it a toy after that. I think once they see what games are capable of, they realize it's not for kids and realize it's not a "toy".
  12. If you're a fan of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, then you're probably going to like the game Genshin Impact. It's essentially a copy of Breath of the Wild, as it has similar climbing mechanics, gliding, fighting and so much more. The only difference is that it has some multiplayer options and you can supposedly do co-op. Has anyone here played it yet? I played it for a few hours with some friends, and I must admit, it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to playing it some more. Oh, and if you want to play online right away, you can't. You have to play the adventure mode first to get to level 16, then you can play multiplayer with friends.
  13. Yeah, that's the brilliance of Spec Ops: The Line. It's meant to be about the horrors of war and how it can effect people's minds. It's one of my favorite games, because it shows war as extremely awful. Anyway, as for other games, there are a lot of games that try to hide meaning into their games. Sometimes it's over-looked by fans, or completely missed. I think Silent Hill 2 (spoilers ahead) has a lot of symbolism and hidden meaning. The whole point of the game is that James is kind of an awful person. He fantasized about other women as his wife was dying in a hospital bed, but he was also responsible for ending her life sooner. I heard Pyramid head is a symbol of James.
  14. Has anyone here played this Resident Evil clone? It's called Daymare: 1998 and looks similar to the resident evil franchise, especially with the controls and graphics. Anyway, is this game even any good? I saw some gameplay of it, and the controls look stiff to me. But I can't fully judge it until I actually play it. Is it worth purchasing? It's $30 on steam, but idk if I want to spend that much if it turns out to be really bad.
  15. Here we go again, just more confusion for the consumers lol. Phil Spencer has stated that they are already working on future versions of the series x, with updated hardware and such. He says this is a way to help lower costs as well. I suppose we shall see what they have in store for us down the road. But for now, it's just the Series X and Series S. I imagine down the line, we'll get some smaller versions of each console. Read more about this news here - Pure Xbox
  16. Whether it be a console, a device like a controller, or problems with video games, have you ever had to send any items in for repair? I recently had to send my nephews joy con controllers in for repair with Nintendo. Which they did for free. I also sent in my original Xbox 360 in for repair multiple times because of the dreaded red ring of death. I ended up sending it in 5 times. Yeah, it was annoying. Other than that, I haven't had to send anything else in for repair. Have you?
  17. Immediate Castlevania vibes from this one. Looks quite good. I wonder if it was made by the people who did Castlevania. The character movements are reminding me of another game, but I can't remember the name. Anyway, this looks cool. If I finally get myself a switch, I'm checking this one out for sure.
  18. You mean like studios will just start to charge for those customization options? I can see clothing items being charged for, that's kind of to be expected. But I hope they don't charge for anything else. I don't need special clothing items for my avatar. I just want to be able to make myself in game form.
  19. I'm sure we will see many open world games with VR. It's bound to happen eventually, as I suspect many people will want to live in virtual worlds anyway. I can't wait to do VR one and eventually live in a virtual world. Well not literally, but you get my point. 😄
  20. Yeah I saw that. I would love to see them do a Zelda Maker. But Final Fantasy would be even better imo. Just the idea of creating your own version, would be cool. Hmm, I could see it. It already has the options for building, so it wouldn't be hard to implement I imagine.
  21. I have a HyperX keyboard myself. Really good quality budget brand. 👍 Sennheiser is an awesome brand. Went through a couple of the HD205 DJ headsets. Sadly they broke after a certain amount of time. First pair was under warranty, but not the second pair. Sucked, because I really liked the sound quality. I also like and hate the long cords for their headsets, because it can be a pain to deal with lol. But still, I love the brand even though I had some problems in the past.
  22. Amnesia: Rebirth comes out tomorrow, and I am actually kind of interested in it. Even though I'm a wimp when it comes to horror games, I still want to give this one a go. Is anyone here picking this one up tomorrow? I might wait a little bit before I purchase it though. Check out the trailer below.
  23. 2K, becoming the new EA and Activision, how fun! So, it seems that there are now unskippable advertisements in NBA 2K21. According to a gamer, he had to sit through an ad, before starting a game of his. I suppose it could be a way to hide the loading menu and all that, but still, no one wants to be advertised to after spending $60-$70 on a new game. It's bad enough all of these 2K games are full of microtransactions. How can studios be so tone deaf these days? It's like they have to find ways for fans and gamers to just hate them. Also, it sounds like 2K has been doing this since 2K19, but fans are still annoyed by it. As they should be. Anyway, you can read about it here - Gamerant Also here's a tweet bringing it up:
  24. This console looks sexy! Analogue unveiled their new console, the Analogue Duo. This new console supports; TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine, SuperGrafx, TurboGrafx CD, PC Engine CD-ROM, and Super Arcade CD-ROM. And I'm surprised to say, it'll only cost $199.99 at release in 2021. Is this something you would buy? I don't have any games for either console/device, so I have no use for it, but if you're a collector who has alot of these games and no consoles to play them, this will be perfect for those people. 25. Wild 9 was a game I got for like $12 because I bought it from a friend of mine at the time. I had such a blast with the game, but it gets really tough. I remember the controls were kind of tough to get used to at times, but it was an inventive game for the time and was fun smashing dudes back and forth and throwing them in grinders. Does anyone here remember it? Maybe you played it? I sold it years ago and have been thinking of buying it again so I can give it another go. I think the last time I played it was before the 2000s, or maybe early 2000s. Check out some gameplay below to get an idea of it.
