  1. Whenever I game, I tend to mute the game lobby. I'm usually with a group of friends anyway, so muting the lobby is a no brainer. These days people still swear up storms and act like children when it comes to public game lobbies. Especially in games like Call of Duty. I was playing COD MW a while back, had no mic connected, but I could still hear the players complain between games. It was funny and also annoying at the same time. I have anxiety, so I usually just mute every game lobby I play in. If anyone does bug me though, I usually just mute, block or even report if they get too out of hand. Plus, I don't want to hear some dumb 12 year olds saying racial slurs and other dumb stuff. So, do you mute public game lobbies? Or do you like to sometimes listen to what they have to say? These days I'm usually in discord voice or in a private party with friends anyway.
  2. Nice, I got the same one myself, except mine says NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super, but it also has 4GB of Vram. Plays games really well. Haven't had any problems, gaming and streaming even. 🙂
  3. I catch myself looking at my collection wondering what I should play next. Sometimes I just stare at my games and just remember the good old times when I played them a ton. These days I haven't played a whole lot. Just been playing a lot of THPS1+2 remastered. How do I decide on what games to play? Well that's a good question because I often just jump on my Xbox and see what they have on gamepass, so I tend to overlook what I already have at this point. I took out my PS2 a while back and was thinking of playing that more, especially with some of my backlog there. But I can't seem to ever get to it.
  4. I originally got it for the Xbox 360 when the game first came out. I then upgraded to the Xbox One version eventually and once I got a decent PC, I took advantage of the Epic Game Stores free release of GTA V. I only really play it on Xbox One and PC though. Haven't really played it much on PC though.
  5. I'm sure you're all well aware of the upcoming Atari VCS, which is expected to release for $399.99. There is no official release date from what I can see, but I suspect it'll drop around the time the new gen consoles do, or sometime early 2021. Anyway, I highly doubt this console is going to sell anywhere near what the PS5 or new Xbox is going for. And when this is just $100 less than those consoles, I don't see this console lasting very long, if at all. There hasn't been a lot of news about exclusives, and from what I see they don't even have all the rights to the full Atari catalog. Though I could be wrong on that. I just don't see this thing surviving. What do you guys think though? You can see more of the Atari VCS at this site here - Atari VCS
  6. What are your feelings on fast travel in games? Sometimes they work really well, but other times it's a chore to figure out and a chore to do. For example, RDR2 is annoying, in that to fast travel, you have to be at an outpost. So, you have to sometimes travel for minutes to get to the nearest outpost and then fast travel to the next location, which can take nearly a minute in itself. Just give us an option to fast travel to locations from our menu. I understand maybe having to open up an area first before it can be traveled to, but at least make it a quick option in the menu once its been opened. I know I'm just ranting at this point. But I've become a lazy gamer lol. I just want to get to the gameplay as fast as possible and not be stuck going from one place to another just to get to another location. What are your feelings on this?
  7. Game Informer made a list of the best games of the current console generation. Did any of your favorite games make the list? You can view the article here: Game Informer There's the usual RDR2, The last of us 2, God of War, Spider-Man, etc. But there are a slew of other categories to look at. What do you think of the list overall?
  8. I have my PC on 24/7 for the most part. When not in use I just put it into sleep mode, which is perfectly fine to do. It's probably better than turning your PC off and on often. Plus I work a lot on my PC so I just figure it'd save me time when I need it.
  9. There are a lot of options for browser based games. One that immediately comes to mind is Krunker. It's a first person shooter in a blocky style, similar to Minecraft, but runs like CS GO. It's pretty fun if you can get a full lobby of people. The site is krunker.io There are many pictionary clones I like to, as well as a clone of Cards against humanity. 😄
  10. Nice, I'll have to look into that. 🙂 Oh yeah, phones are becoming more and more powerful and can play some decent games. Right now I'm considering Pubg and COD mobile. Of course, with each new phone release, better games are going to be coming out. I'm just waiting for the day when I can play stuff like GTA V on a phone without having to use something like xcloud. Oh and I think a lot of those games work on the newer iphone/android phones. It's just that they're not always 100% perfect for them.

  12. EA is releasing something quite cool this October 30th. It's going to be a remake of the classic NHL '94 called NHL '94 Rewind. It will be the same classic game with updated rosters. And EA will be including it for free when you pre-order NHL 21. I was mostly into the Ice Hockey game back on the NES, but this is pretty cool too. Is anyone going to pre-order NHL 21 to get this game? Do you think EA will release it at any point? I sure hope so. Read more about this story here: ESPN
  13. With League of Legends, it's just not really the type of game I get into. MOBA's sound nice and all, but I never was too into them. Halloween is coming though, so I'm for sure going to have to do some horror games at some point. I might try some emulators to play older games, that could work. Yeah, that's why I'm thinking I might do streams of other games. I might try to complete games on stream, so I might get that new Mafia 1 remake and stream that in full. Should be interesting. But I also was a part of a Battlefield 2 stream, and I could see myself doing streams of older games.
  14. For me - The first season of The Walking Dead by Telltale. That ending nearly got me. As well, the first Last of Us had that devastating beginning, and the story overall made me feel for these characters. I didn't much care for TLOU2's story though. It didn't have the same weight and impact the first game had imo, and some characters motivations were a little messed up imo. NakeyJakey made a good YouTube video about it that I'd recommend watching. I'd include, is RDR1 and 2 in some regards. RDR1 because of the ending, and RDR2 because of Arthur's overall story. He was a great character. Also, Life is Strange is another game that nearly got me. I think the only other game that was close to bringing me to tears, was Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. But there are probably other games. I found that as I get older, some game endings are becoming a lot more emotional for me. Even the happy endings sometimes.
  15. It's funny you say that, because I haven't been spammed with those notifications in years. Actually, I might have blocked people from requesting I download the game. I think you can do that on facebook. 😄 So if you ever want to block out those candycrush notifications, block away. 👍
  16. I guess I wouldn't say it was a feature, but it seems a lot of modern games have to find ways of slowing the player down. Like missions where you have to follow an NPC and walk super slow. Or like the camp in RDR2 where you can't run around, so you have to walk to and from sections of camp. It just slows things down when it really isn't needed. Assassin's Creed is a big culprit, as there are far too many trailing missions. I want to be able to move fast no matter what. I guess we can go with trailing missions, as that makes more sense in terms of features. I just hate anything that forces you to slow down in game.
  17. Games based off movies usually never do good. There are some exceptions, but I don't know any lol. You got stuff like The Godfather, Scarface, Sopranos, Bad Boys, super hero movies and so on. Most of the time, games based off of movies don't do so hot. Most of the time they're awful. The big reason why, is because these games were pushed out to release at the same time as the movies. Usually this means we get some really crappy games. But, I'm glad to see that there aren't many games based off movies anymore. If anything, I think more movies based on games are coming out now. How do you feel about these types of games? Do you remember playing any good ones?
  18. If you're getting a game used, bear in mind you may not like the results. Gamestop and some other companies like to put their annoying stickers on everything. Why not put stickers that can easily be pealed off? On top of that, Gamestop had a habit of putting stickers on the cover art. Yes, the cover art sleeve itself. Which you all know, probably is not going to come off without pealing the cover art itself. How do you guys get these stickers off without damaging the case and cover art? Don't get me started on cart based games where people put the sticker on the label. Ah I hate that so much.
  19. Source - Bloody Disgusting This game looks pretty interesting. Kind of reminds me of platform games from the early 2000s. I get a Luigi's Mansion vibe from it as well. It's shaping up to be a good horror game. Check the trailer out below.
  20. A feature I wish was in all games, is the ability to run in an area that forces you to walk. I hate any missions where you're forced to move slow, or areas where you can't run. For example, RDR2 when you're in your camp, why can't you run through? I hate when games force you to slow down in areas like this, because it then means it slows the game down to a crawl at times. Just make it fast, I'm too lazy otherwise lol.
  21. Yeah I agree. With RDRO, I don't think they intended it to stick around as long as GTA V's online. I suspect RDRO will start to dwindle in numbers, if it hasn't already. I can see GTA V Online sticking around for many years. Hell, I bet they're going to wait even longer to release GTA 6.
  22. Oh for sure. I remember fishing with a storm coming, and just seeing the lighting strike land in the distance was quite a site. It's almost as realistic as they come. Even the first game had a great weather system. I love when games go into such details.
  23. I am so glad that there are communities out there that are preserving old games. What people are doing is making digitized versions of retro and really old games. Anything from NES, SNES, Genesis or any cart game for that matter. As well as many dos games and other PC games of the 80s/90s/2000s. Eventually all of our games will become useless, as disc based games eventually suffer through disc rot. I don't know when carts degrade. There are many games under the abandoned ware games, where you can legally download old games that are no longer supported. Many of these games are preserved and even brought back to life with custom servers and even new mods and updates. Eventually all games will need to be preserved just in case, as some games of the past are gone. One day I may want to replay that old game that came out like 30 years ago. Anyway, do you guys know of any sites that preserve games? I know of a couple abandonware sites and also dos sites. But are there any others worth checking out? Some sites: https://www.myabandonware.com/ https://abandonwaregames.net/ https://www.dosgames.com/ Archive also has their options: https://archive.org/details/internetarcade
  24. I have always wanted to own an arcade cabinet, maybe something like Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, or Space Invaders. Does anyone here own an arcade cabinet? I'm referring to the original arcades from back in the 80s/90s. But we can count the ones you can get at walmart as well. But yeah, it'd be so cool to have an arcade cabinet. I am interested in those new ones that are made. Just not sure what I'd go for. The TMNT cabinet would be nice.
  25. A new controller made for stroke patients is going to start testing soon. It's expected to help patient regain movement in their hands. The device is called The NeuroBall. The creators and the university behind it was funded £60,000 and are in the process of continuing development. Read more about this here - Medical Express
