    Tetris

I love tetris. It's a classic! I can understand why people get bored of it, but it does get challenging as you keep going. It's one of those games I can play to relax and unwind. If you feel original Tetris is boring, maybe try the more advanced versions of tetris. There was a recent tetris game that came out and it was a lot of fun as it changes a lot to the formula and adds stuff to it. I forgot the title, but it's probably the newest one.
  2. Do you guys know of any good 8bit/16bit games that work on mobile? Specially in the style of platformers and or other popular retro games? I'm just kind of played out of the annoying mobile games made for phones. I want real games to play, nothing that requires micro-transactions to have fun either.
  3. Nintendo may have been one of the first to try VR with their Virtual Boy console that came out in the 90s if I remember correctly. It was a promising little toy, but it wasn't practicle and didn't work all that well. But, couldn't Nintendo revive the Virtual Boy and make a new one that matches the standards of the Oculus Rift or any of the other VR headsets out there? I think it's possible and I would love to see Nintendo revive the brand. What do you think?
  4. Moderator Edit: This topic has been unpinned and will now instead be used to merge older topics discussing mods together. This compiled thread will then be used as a reference for the main Gaming Mod thread found here. When it comes to modding, what kind of mods do you guys like using in most popular games? Maybe it's an online mode to give gamers more freedom. Or maybe it's a mod for a popular game that changes it up a ton, like FiveM for GTA V. Who here likes to use mod for popular games?
  5. I've had it for years myself. Got it at release on the 360 and then got it on PC as well, as I think it was given away for free at one point. We should get a game of L4D2 going one of these days. 🙂
  6. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/mass-effect-trilogy-remaster-scheduled-for-october-release-but-could-slip-journalist-claims/ So this is great news. Looks like we're getting a remastered trilogy set of Mass Effect, with upgraded graphics and everything. Who is picking this one up when it releases?
  7. Have you ever made your own mobile game before? I wanted to in the past, but I didn't want to go through college to learn it. I'm thinking I may take some courses online so that I don't need to go to college forever. Plus, this way I can learn on my own time. Anyway, if you made a mobile game, feel free to share it. I'd love to give some a try.
  8. Lol yeah, it does kind of look like a refrigerator, or a mini fridge lol. I still get a sub-woofer vibe from it. I can understand why people hate it. It doesn't really fit an entertainment center either.
  9. Yeah it is weird, but that's the nature of the world. Zippo probably figured there was a good amount of money to be made and jumped into the mix.

    Best ending?

Hmm, that's a good question. I think The Walking Dead season 1 is one game that comes to mind. Especially the ending. The next couple seasons after it, never really captured that brilliance. I would also add Metal Gear Solid 3 to that list, as well as Mafia II. San Andreas is up there as well, but Red Dead Redemption probably takes the win for me.
  11. Whenever I buy a physical game, I always go for the steelbook version, as I like how they look on a shelf. Do you guys prefer to buy the steelbook version? I feel it makes it worth buying physical more, as it's more collector friendly. Plus, some steelbooks look awesome.
  12. What are some games you remember enjoying as a kid, but are considered bad games? I remember playing Rugrats: Search for Reptar on the PS1 years ago. Being a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing ever, but revisiting it in recent years, has shown me that it's a pretty awful game. There are many other games I probably played that would be considered awful. What are some bad games you enjoyed playing as a kid?
  13. The Xbox Series X is a weird little console. It's not like any other console we've seen. It kind of reminds me of these gaming speakers I had when I was a kid, just the sub-woofer part lol. Anyway, do you like the design? I personally don't mind it, I feel like it may help make room for other stuff on my entertainment center. Plus, it seems MS made it this way to make sure it worked as best it could. If you're worried about the size of the Series X, the Series S might be worth it. It's smaller, and will probably fit better on an entertainment center. 🙂
  14. Most Sony consoles came out with a second or third version, usually smaller. The PS1 had the PSone, which was a smaller version of the PlayStation, and was super cute. I owned the fat PS1, but always wanted to own the PSone version. Then the PS2 came about and dropped a slim model. The PS3 kind of changed it up, as I think they had multiple different versions. I think three in total, the original Spider-man font PS3, then the one we mostly know, the first slim, with a matte finish and then they did a smaller PS3 with a sliding disc tray you could open. As for the PS4, it had a the PS4 Slim and PS4 pro. My only concern, is that they made the PS5 look the way it is because of what's inside of it. So I wonder if they can put this machine into something smaller down the road. What do you think?
  15. Even Unity I kind of feel is going the route of Flash. Mainly because people seem to make fun of Unity these days. I think it's probably due to all the bad games people have made with Unity over the years. Of course, there are good games made with Unity, it's just that I seem to notice the bad stuff over the good.
  16. Since the Switch came out, it's gotten a lot of 3rd party games. From the likes of The Witcher, Doom, and Diablo III just to name a few. There may be more on the horizon. What 3rd party games, would you like to see come out for the Nintendo Switch?
  17. I love it that L4D2 is getting some love again these days. Sucks that they never made a third game in the series, but I'm always happy about updates like this. Time to re-download the game I suppose.
  18. I'm digging the art style, and it looks like a lot of fun as well. I'd say so. Her games have always been about mystery and puzzles and all that good stuff. I'd add horror games to the list, as they tend to have some mystery strewn in.
  19. Haha wow, this kind of reminds me of something similar that happened on my play-through. I was just walking around in game, and saw one guy just attack a random NPC. No arguing, no fighting, just a dude, runs up on another dude and kills him. I never saw anything like it in a game before. I wonder if maybe that character is part of your posse, or maybe it's just someone who attacks NPCs who attack the player?
  20. How many monitors do you have for your PC currently? I have two monitors. I mainly need it for work and also gaming. It has helped quite a bit. I also got a tablet from a co-worker that I've been using as a third monitor, mostly for work stuff. But what about you? How many monitors does your setup have?
  21. I'm a big fan of the original Mafia game, which came out on PC and PS2 back in 2002 if I remember correctly. The PC version was highly regarded, and still is to this day, but the PS2 version was a really poor quality port. Even though I did play the PS2 version, I had a blast with it. Now, 2K and folks are re-releasing the original Mafia game, but completely remastered from the ground up. It was supposed to come out this month, but was delayed until sometime in September. I plan to buy it myself as I haven't played since the PS2 version, and it's been well over 10 years by now.
  22. So it seems that playstation is currently taking registrations to be considered for pre-orders of the new PS5. This means that only a select few will get first dibs on a pre-order, so in order to get in on that, you can set your spot at the link below. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2020/ps5-direct-pre-orders/
  23. It's only $20 on Steam and I think if you have PSN you can get it for free currently. I think $20 is a pretty fair price, but on the PS4 it's free. So if you got a PS4, I'd take advantage of that opportunity as soon as you can. 🙂 👍 Actually, just checked, and Fall Guys is available for free on PSN until the end of August. So you have 4 more days after today to get it for free.
  24. I agree. I would like to see other studios jump in with new arcade style sports games. EA has been a burden for the sports genres in years, and has dropped the likes of SSX, NBA/NFL/FIfa Street and more. I would love to see a new SSX game again, but not in the hands of EA. And 2K, as much as they improve on their games over EA, they are still money hungry like EA.
  25. One other game I think I could play forever, that I just remembered was Sim City 3000. I played this game so much, that I'm pretty sure I became a pro playing it. So I would easily fall back into the groove of that game if I need to play it for life.
