Justin11 reacted to Clasher in General Gaming Discussion
After been off video games for a couple of days, I finally got some time to play this weekend and it's even an holiday weekend over here.
I have got a hand full of games I would be playing for the next two days and I am looking forward to having a wonderful time here ,just me and my consoles all weekend.

Justin11 got a reaction from Reality vs Adventure in Without stating your age
I got you better, it is the fact you lived in a setting where it isn't possible to play rain ball. It wouldn't be possible to play on a flood surface, it is easy to play in an environment where water flows out, so it wouldn't be stagnated. To be frank, rain ball was fun during my childhood, we did funny stuffs with the ball.

Justin11 reacted to Reality vs Adventure in Without stating your age
Actually, I don't remember ever doing that. I lived in a really dry climate surrounded by desert in Vegas. When it finally did rain, it flooded waste high and we would swim in it with dirt and all.

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in What in the world happened to Boris Johnson in UK?
I second this @Justin11. It's OK that you don't have a full scope of the situation with regard to the resignation of the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. It is even OK to not really care either, but if wish to contribute to conversation at hand, actually have something to say. For the second time in about 12 hours, I'm telling you if you have nothing to say, say nothing! If you insist on contributing to the conversation, do a little research to develop at at least some understanding of what's going so you can formulate an opinion and then, and I mean ONLY then, express it. If putting that bare minimum effort of is not worth it to you, then why would a post where you couldn't be bothered to make that bare minimum of effort be worth it to us?
And frankly @Reality vs Adventure, I could say the same thing to you. Especially as the author of the thread, I would expect a lot better than this. No article, not so much as a basic description of what happened nor even a detailed opinion. Sadly, I've come to expect such a half-arsed effort from @Justin11, but this is really disappointing coming from you. @Crazycrab has already done your job for you and went through the basics about what happened and his effort is only reason I'm keeping this thread open. I may have deleted the thread entirely if it wasn't for him.
I'll add here an article from what something I would consider a neutral news source to provide some more details. From Sky News
My two cents? It was time for him to go. There had been two many missteps with things like party-gate, controversial policies set forth by his administration and what I would describe at best as a slow response to the cost of living crisis. He was not the PM and his was not the government we needed anymore. I don't have anything against the guy, but I don't think history is going to regard him that fondly.

Justin11 got a reaction from Withywarlock in Favorite Studio
None, I stay with the ones making beautiful games. Even if Milestone SRL makes beautiful racing games for me, I'm not going to choose them ahead of others, because others are trying too to make good games. I play lots of racing games not just from 'mileston, but from 'Polyphony Digital, 'Codemasters studios etc.
-
Justin11 reacted to Withywarlock in What year would you consider as the worst in video game's history?
Hardware scarcity is certainly a big deal but not specific to a single year and it didn't originate with Covid-19 (for PC users I'd daresay it was cryptocurrency mining that caused shortages.) Gaming in the UK boomed as a direct result of Covid, or more specifically, lockdown efforts. I imagine this was the same in a lot of other countries in the world. Lots of studios and their developers faced difficulties, absolutely, but I still don't think that qualifies as a worse year than the industry dying.
There is certainly discussion to be had about Covid-19's impact on gaming, and I'm sure there's many interesting comparisons between the struggles now versus ~40 years ago.

Justin11 got a reaction from Withywarlock in What year would you consider as the worst in video game's history?
I never really existed when the worst came around video game industry. The only season I witnessed is the ongoing covid 19 era, that has caused hardware scarcity especially with PS5.

Justin11 reacted to Crazycrab in Sony announces more TV shows from PlayStation IP's. Including Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War.
They made two announcements with 2 separate titles, neither of which seemed to fit in with the timeline of Horizon (I posted the details earlier). From what I understand it's not two separate shows but I could be wrong.

Justin11 got a reaction from Heatman in God of War Ragnarok release date announced
That's good news, at least the speculation about it's released date is now settled. Let's now expect to see the game up and running by November, 9th. I know you @Heatman is ecstatic about the announcement of the game.

Justin11 reacted to harleyqbx in Which mobile games drains your smartphone battery faster?
It depends on how you game on your phone. If you're right near a charger, no problem. If you commute to work on public transportation, or you're on a long drive as a passenger, you don't have a steady power supply and don't want your phone to die in an hour. It's a problem then.
The only time I've kind of had that problem, where my phone battery comes close to draining faster than it can charge, is when I use my phone as a webcam for video meeting for work. Epoccam is the only non-gaming app that's that intense, but it's also a great app, imo. So, I'll deal with it.

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in COD Mobile
@kingpotato is right.
That's the kind of post you make on a thread as your first reply. How could you possibly not know you had posted on this thread before? You have, in fact, replied to this thread on no less than 20 other occasions. Nobody who posts like they care would forget that. This is ridiculous, @Justin11. And don't reply to this or @kingpotato's post please, I think you've harvested quite enough posts out of this thread as it is.

Justin11 reacted to Shagger in Celebrating 150,000 Posts at VGR Forum
I just ran the same math for myself. I joined 950 days ago (November 28, 2019) and this here will be my 2,612th post. So that's average of 2.75 posts a day. I have had a little time off from the forum here and there and my moderating duties and updating the Game Services Threads do rob me of quite a bit of time I could spend making posts, but even so that is pretty alarming. To do 30 posts a day, I would have to try to hit that number, and I mean really try. That's not my style. I post if and when I feel I have something worthwhile to say. Whether it be something informative, in debate, advisory, funny or whatever, I could easily read about 30+ posts from others and not make a single post myself, that's just how I enjoy spending my time here. I get a lot out of this place, possibly more than I give back, and cannot imagine feeling that way whilst making 30 posts a day. Everything I say would be drowned out and bleed together and probably even forget most of it. I just couldn't do that, at least not a smaller forum like this.

Justin11 reacted to Dannyjax in Your all time favorite video game trailer?
The video game's name is Black Myth: Wukong and the Chinese animation after the game is The Monkey King : Reborn. They are two different videos.
-
Justin11 got a reaction from Dannyjax in Least favorite video game controller
No problem, I've agreed, but at least you've acknowledged the little similarities in them. I spotted the difference, but it isn't noticeable unless you go closer to the both controllers.

Justin11 got a reaction from Family sedan in How do you cope when you finish your favorite game again?
That's cool to hear from you about WRC 8, and your interest in WRC 9. I'll check them up via YouTube and see what their gameplay looks like. If it makes sense to me, already I'm a racing game addict, then I'll go for them.

Justin11 got a reaction from Clasher in You do differently than most people
Women is cool, at the moment I am yet to find the right one offline, I'm still enjoying the company of my 66 year old friend. If you enjoy hanging out with women their is nothing wrong, just play safe mate.

Justin11 reacted to Family sedan in How do you cope when you finish your favorite game again?
I love WRC 8 so much that now I'm considering getting WRC 9. I know 10 is out, but I've heard that it's not a big enough step forward in quality and it may actually even be worse than 9. I've also heard that WRC 9 has better handling and more historic rally cars than 8. I'm all psyched up to get 9 and then I'll probably play them inter-changably.

Justin11 reacted to Heatman in Games that stresses you
This reminds me of playing against of the best managers in Top Eleven Football Manager called Apolo Rock. He's so good that he owns a YouTube channel where he teaches others how to train their players and be as good in the game. He's a beast of a manager.

Justin11 got a reaction from Crazycrab in Why does Africa have no AAA game studio?
What @Crazycrab have said around African continent is the fucking truth. Africa is kinda large continent, but they've failed to capture the eyes of the video game companies establishing branch in various countries in Africa. I believe it is matter of time and Africa will become an attractive option for video game environment.
-
Justin11 reacted to Crazycrab in Why does Africa have no AAA game studio?
I think one thing that people oddly don't seem to take into account is that Africa is a big fucking place! It's a massive continent that's got significant geographical, economic and political diversity. Most of us ignorent European's and American's are aware of that there is a clear difference between France and Germany but seem to assume little to no difference between Uganda and Kenya despite that geographically they sit pretty similar.
I'm a subject of this ignorance to but I am able to observe the attitude thay many people observe that the problems that affect "Africa" apply to the whole continent rather than individual countries and regions. South Africa is a very well developed region that actually DOES have some game studios like Clockwork Acorn, and there are others that starve in poverty.
If we want to address problems in "Africa", I think the first thing we need to do is address them as problems in Uganda, Rawanda, Angola, Zimbabwe, Somalia........

Happy Birthday to our beloved @Shagger! Any special plans for the day?

Justin11 reacted to Heatman in Happy Birthday Shagger
It's 3rd July, so I picked it up from your initial post that it's your birthday. So, allow me to create a thread for you on it.
Happy birthday mate @Shagger. I wish you everything you ever deserve and dreamt of to come to reality.
Have fun man and go easy on the drinks 😂 !!
