Yaramaki got a reaction from killamch89 in Hotmail or Gmail? Which one do you prefer?
I use both, but damn the hotmail account that takes me back since it's still the one i made in computer class as part of an assignment. I think it was in 2001 orso, one of the very first times we were allowed to use internet in computer class, our teacher made us sign up for the school news letter aswell all pretty primitive stuff haha. I never really saw the point in changing it so i kept it around all these years, these days meanly for my xbox account and a few other smaller things and Offcourse how can i forget for msn messenger, where is the time we would send homework answers and music to eachother via msn messenger.
Nowadays i primarly use gmail meanly because i'm used to it and it works best for me, but it's not that i think either hotmail or gmail is better, i think they are both equal imo. If somebody would force me to use hotmail again, it's not that i'm going to lose sleep over it.

Yaramaki got a reaction from Withywarlock in Best underwater section in a video game?
Couple i can think off :
Assasins creed black flag : pretty obvious and likely boring choice but wait let's massage my brain and see  if i can think of a couple more.
Maneater : Kind of an underrated game where your play as a shark in an openworld, offcourse it's mostly underwater but you can still attack and eat people on the coast lines, had a lot of fun with this one. By the end of the game you're an unstoppable force, exellent game that would probably my top pick for this thread if you're looking to play a game that is just a blast to play.
Another obvious answer would be ecco the dolphin. Bioshock games also have some interesting underwater sections from what i remember but it's been years since i played those games so my memory isen't all that great. Abzu would be an exellent choice aswell.
other recent games i can remember that include underwater sections that were good : rayman legends and offcourse how can i forgot super Mario Odyssey, Seaside Kingdom section.
I don't really know how far you want to go back into time but my favourite underwater section has to be Legend of zelda majora’s mask – great bay temple dungeon. Also from what i remember the underwater levels in the donkey kong country series were also top notch and how could i forgot super mario 64  Dire Dire Docks level.
Don't know if this is the answer you're looking for? I usually hate underwater levels especially the ones in the crash bandicoot series and the first sonic games so it's a hard subject for me to come up with something good.

Obvious answer would be assasins creed since everithing historic is neatly explained in a database well in the first few games. Not really sure how many people bothered with this but in the first few games i learned quite a bit about the italian renaissance ( that i forgot mostly in the maintime )
Gran turismo always did a great job in telling car history, as far as game it's also a car encyclopedia.
Maybe a more obscure one but both Endless ocean games on the wii, while gameplay wise there isen't a whole lot to it, you can explore the depts of the sea at your own pace as it simulates fish and other sea life accuratly, once you discover a new life form you can learn more about the fish you just discovered, i'm not sure how many people even played this but from what i remember it's quite a relaxing experience.
But anyways you could pretty much list any game here that has deep choices to make and will make you think twice before you take action. Maybe not as educational as one thinks but imo some moral choices learn from them and take with you in real life.

Yaramaki got a reaction from Reality vs Adventure in The brilliance of playable NPC in Watch Dogs Legion
Now that i've finally beaten the game and it's dlc, i've put about 70 hours into the game, i'm only missing the long live deadsec achievement, so if i played it on playstation instead of xbox i would have platinumed the game so i've got a decent idea what i'm talking about.
-> London looks beautiful and at times you really feel like you're in london because the world is full of life, having visited london myself a couple of times i can finally relate to a location. The fact that i had a high ranking police officer on my time and people would thank me for keeping the streets safe is nice touch, aswell if you have a high ranking albion officer in your time, people start calling you out, i tought that was a nice touch worth mentioning
-> The recruit anyone is on paper a nice idea and for the first few hours you play the game, it's also seems to work well, however the recruiting missions could have been a little more varied if you ask me, after stealing a car or inflirtrating the same building for the third time. it get's repetitive after a while. The recruiting anybody system is a double edged sword imo,  On one hand is that the game is unique to everybody on the other hand you really don't get memorable characters like in watch dogs 2.
-> Once i started playing it was hard to put the game down, let's try and grab another tech point, maybe i should do another side missions or recruit somebody new, before you know it you're a couple of hours later without even knowing.
-> The story is typical Ubisoft stuff, not bad but not great either, i don't think the vilians weren't even all that bad some of their ideas weren't even half bad if you ask me exept for the kelly leader bitch had to die, just to give an example there was a woman were you had to choose to let here live or shut off a machine, no matter what you choose you'll have the same outcome anyway then why even let me choose in the first place. The fact i meanly divided missions between several characters was also a nice change of pace.
-> The voiceacting of the characters let's just say they are terrible, i had a woman on my team that had an indian accent and a guy who had a russian accent but damn that must be some of the worst voice acting i've heard in quite a while. Also the dialogue when you recruit somebody i don't know what drug they were on but is must be good stuff. One thing i missed aswell was interaction between fellow deadsec members sometimes you encounter one in london, why is there no interaction between the two, like why did they just pass me instead of maybe saying Hi or greeting me.
-> Gameplay wise is the strongest point of the game because it's awesome, stealth is still king and your robot spider is probably your best friend and you know once you can hack drones, nothing beats taking over a couple of drones and shooting up the place but as previously mentioned more upgrades could have been integrated into the game.
-> I played with permadeath on, on the default difficulty while i had a few officers die early in the game, like with any ubisoft game once you have a couple of upgrades the game becomes easier over time, i don't think i had anybody die when i was halfway trough the game.
->Let's talk about the dlc last, it's not worth 40 bucks i only paid 20 for it but it's still pushing it. Unless you really want to play as wrench or aiden in the main game, While the bloodline story was good it's not earth shattering and brings nothing new to the table, no new part of london for you to explore either, i don't know if the assasin darcy was dlc or not, she was a likeable character enough, maybe they could bring here back in future installments of assasins creed.
Lastly should you buy the game, i'm going to say if you like ubisoft games or open world games this is definatly something you should look into, especially since the game can be had under 20 bucks, i paid like 18 euros for it, the amount of hours you can poor into the game is good value for money.

Man i haven't pulled out some of this stuff in years until a few days ago, like all my european gamboy advance games are still in the moving boxes when i moved out of my parents place haha. When digging trough them looking for rpg's, i realised how amazing the cover art is on most of these. You don't see that anymore these days, unless you would read gaming magazines for the most part publishers had to sell you the game on the coverart alone, they are all good games imo and there's atleast 10 rpg's in case they haven't been mentioned already  :

I already ranted about this with you but it seems that you dont care what people say. EVERYTHING THAT YOU JUST SAID IS WRONG, it is Obvius that you have never played the game in your life!

Fortnite is NOT PAY TO WIN, YOU DONT NEED TO PAY TO PROGRESS IN THE GAME, YOU DONT PAY FOR POWERFULL WEAPONS OR ITEMS, YOU DONT NEED TO PAY FOR ITEMS TO EQUIP THEM FOR EACH CHAPTER OR EPISODE!! NONE OF THE ITEMS COST MONEY TO USE THEM, YOU CAN USE ALL THE ITEMS ON THE GAME FOR FREE

The only thing that you pay for is cosmetics, either skins for your character, skins for your guns or vehicles. You had already made this statement once and I gave you the exact same response. You make a lot of claims that you play fortnite but thats a LIE, if you actually play the game you would know all these things and you wouldnt be making all these false claims.

Yaramaki got a reaction from kingpotato in Are certain games better in online play, or story mode?
Well to go back to the topic, i don't do multiplayer. I'm not going to say multiplayer sucks because it's something i know little to nothing of people can enjoy what they want. As previously mentioned by @The Blackangel i also like to play my games in peace and i don't need to have people raging to me because they lost or i'm the weakest link in their team it's just doesen't appeal to me.
Like i don't have a problem with multiplayer being integrated in an otherwise mostly singleplayer game, IF the single player campaign doesen't fall victim because of it and that is mostly the case because with the time and effort designing the multiplayer, that same effort could have gone into a better campaign imo. You have to ask yourself do games like mass effect, ghost of tsushima, uncharted and the last of us really need a multiplayer mode, i haven't played them obviously but i'll take @kingpotato word for it and say that the efforts it toke for building the multiplayer were better off used elsewhere.
Another problem i have multiplayer based games, they are temporarily experiences, like enjoy it while you can because it may be gone tommorow. I'm not going to dive deep into this because i've mentioned this quite a few times in other threads already. You'll probably be safe with fortnite for the foreseeable future but let's say something like the first destiny or the first the crew game, i don't know how well these are still doing but give and take another couple of years and those may be gone forever. A singleplayer game for aslong i have working hardware i can still play it, hell i still use my childhood sega megadrive every now and then.
Something that pisses me off even more is singleplayer based games that are unplayable offline, like why? Why do i need to connect to a fucking server to play a damn single player game, if anybody can give me a solid answer to this please do.
I do have a xbox live subscription, that i meanly keep it around for the "free" games since i don't buy digital games it's a good way for me to download some games for free that i would have never experienced otherwise. I know the quality isen't always great but you know.
I'll end the rant here, to give a much shorter answer for all i care developers can shove their multiplayer shit up their ass. If you made it this far enjoy the weekend and have a good one.

Yaramaki got a reaction from DC in Where do you usually purchase your games from?
For current gen physical games i usually search every once in a while for various bargains i can find online like on sites like bol.com, nedgame and mediamarkt. Most offer free shipping so i don't have to go out to a physical store to buy them. Every now and then i just go on a "game hunting" trip where i drive to various stores and see if they have anything interesting but that rarely happens anymore.
Nearly all the japanese region stuff i get off Yahoo auctions Japan trough a proxy service called Zenmarket, have been using them in what seems forever now since they first started out and they have never let me down once, if you're a regulair customer you get a lot of cool benifits. I'm also starting to get a lot of good deals trough Mercari Japan for that i use another procy service called Remambo. I've used ebay a ton in the past but these days i use ebay maybe once every couple of months to get something.
For digital stuff i'm forced with either microsoft store or ps store i use those mostly to get a season pass or dlc because i don't have any other options for that but you know that's a last resort.

Pretty much anything goes aslong it's somewhat related to video games.
It would be cool if we could get a thread and conversation going about pick ups.

As for myself i kind off went on a bargain hunting spree for current gen games the past week orso, some games i really wanted to play but diden't want to pay full price and a few i toke a chance on because they looked interesting. Grid legends is the only game i paid full price for. I'm normally more of a collector for the older stuff but you'll find that out pretty soon. I've got about 50 more games i picked up the past few weeks just waiting on a few more packages to post those.

Yaramaki got a reaction from Icefrost in Would you buy any old console today?
Offcourse i would buy any old console today infact i buy atleast a couple every year, a good game remains a good game no matter how old it is.
I have pretty much any console i could ever wanted, so most of the ones i'm buying now are limited editions from console i already have the question is do i need them no, do i want them offcourse.
The only console i don't own that i would like to get at some point is the Fijutsu Fm Towns marty but then again do i need it, probably not. Games are really expensive for it and i don't want to start collecting for yet another console.
The Bandai playdia would be a more affordable option but since only a few games were released for it, the collector in me would want to get them all, trust me i've looked into this console before.
There are several atari compilations on ps4/xbox so you can easily play those on current gen hardware and see what the games are for like, if you like them maybe then go get an atari 2600.

Im having a blast with Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone  recommended by @Yaramaki , turn based rpgs, with some, paper, rock ,scisors elements like on Fire Emblem (sword, spear, axe), and also uses cards with effects like on Yugioh. Honestly its a very complicated RPG game, not only do you have to keep in mind the affinity between types clases (There is like 8 clases ) The cards determine how many steps you can move, if you run out of cards you loose, the cards themselves may only work on specific clases (or against) Also if your attacking character is male or female and depending how they are arranged on the map you can use combo attacks. I can go on and on about just the basics of battle of this game, honestly I have never played anything like it, at first I just assumed it was going to be like Fire emblem, but using cards effects do make things more complicated. Its like the rpg child between Yugioh and fire Emblem whoever came up with this game is probably one big nerd 😆. So far I have spent 4 hours into the game and Im probably going to keep playing this over the weekend.

Hey dude just wanted to give you an update and once again thanks for the gba recomendations:

Ninja five-o : Its good I guess, slower than ninja gaiden but easier. I still dont get what all the fuss was about, maybe its just because its a rare physical game
The Pinball of the Dead : I dont play a lot of pinball games, this one is weird xD When you first recommended this one I was not expecting the game to be related to the House of the Dead games, its cool that you can kill some zombies with the pinball and I still dont undertand why I have to shoot a zombie at the beggining of each round,  I ran out of pinballs in all 3 scenarios before getting to the boss. Anyway not a big fan of pinball but it was fun.
Drill Dozer: I had played this game many many years ago on an emulator on PC , its a good game overall, but I feel Im missing out on the real experience of the game, a cool feature about it was the rumble or vibration from the console when drilling, something that Im missing out because Im emulating this on a 3ds. As to what I understand Boktai has a similar console only feature were you have to rely on real sunlight, I havent played Boktai yet but some people have metioned you can work around that using a button combination on the emulator.
Car Battler Joe:  An okay game but I feel that it has a lot of unnecessary story, it has the same text level as an rpg,  I mean the gameplay itself didnt look to deep, Its just basically cars crashing or shooting againts each other on a big arena or track, and the controls are a little stiff

Kururin Paradise : same as the first one Im really bad at this type of puzzle games xD
Lilo & Stitch: Surprisingly short, I mean like really really short, it took me about an hour or so to beat it. Its a cool action sidescrolling shooter.

Sigma Star Saga: My very first complain about it was that the controls are very stiff on the first spaceship level (Kinda like Gradius), it took me like 3 attempts to get pass that. After that there some story telling and then the gameplay changes to character overview and it turns in an action game, and thats when the game actually gets better, I stop playing it when I had to do another space ship level where I had to fight against a flying alien meatball. btw the main character looks like Ultralord from Jimmy Neutron xD
Tomato Adventure : This one I had to play it on my phone because for some reason the english patched version wasnt working on my 3ds. It has a very interesting fighting system, first of all its a turn based, for the attacks its based on a power bar with a timer for each of your weapons (or gimmicks as they call it on the game) and you can adjust the difficulty on the power bar, the easier the less damage it will dealt. I havent played much but Im probably going to spend the rest of the day playing this one.

Densetsu no Stafy 1 : This one I wasnt able to find the english patched version but its a simple enough game that you can almost play it without knowing what the text says, its a water adventure game, I liked the animation the star makes when you run on dry land it was very funny xD I only got to level 3. Same thing as Tomato adventure I had to play it on my phone.

Im leaving the rest for later this week or next week, I havent forgot about them.
Boktai , Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis , Yggdra Union and Oriental Blue: Ao no Tengai

How long are you planning on playing games?
I think this is a question that nobody can answer, unless you came from the future but you aren't now are you.
When i read these kind of questions that you can't really give a proper answer to. I always ask myself the question how much have i changed as a person over the years, you know people change and their interest can become something completly else over time. I mean ask yourself what was into 10-15 years ago, i'm i still into the same things and what not? Their are several reasons why somebody would give up on a hobby, maybe it's the lack of time, just losing interest alltogether is another valid reason to consider. I could give a few examples on how my interests and how i changed as a person the past 10 years but i would be going way offtopic and don't want to do that however one consistent factor is that gaming has always been part of my life and i can see it to continue to be a part of my life for the foreseeable future.
