How do people deal with permadeath/limited lives?
Shortie replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I grew up playing games that had limited lives and it was either you survived or you got extra lives, once they were gone, that was it you had to start again. I used to find it such a challenge playing games that gave me limited lives but we don't see that often anymore on games. I do miss it but at the same time, I feel now if we had limited lives, I would get frustrated! -
The last game I played was Fortnite Festival Battle Stage last night. I played for quite a few hours and it was nice as I don't get to do that too often anymore. I have yet to check out the Reload mode but it seems that is a ton of fun so I can't wait! 🙂

Quidditch Champions will be on my Wishlist later this year for sure! I remember hearing about this last year and was super excited to hear about a release date. I have a feeling this is going to be a lot of fun!

I am all for supporting streamers and content creators but if it gets to the point where they take their supporters for granted and will openly talk about them when they are not around thinking they will get away with it. I would stop subbing and stop supporting but that is just me. You have to look at how it makes you feel and what you could do with those extra funds if you stopped. You can guarantee that when you stop, they'll realize but by then it is too late.

I have listened to AI-generated music and will admit, some of it is really good and does work but then you have times where it just doesn't work and feels wrong to hear it sung by someone else. One of my favourites that me and my daughter found out about was Hopelessly Devoted To You by Olivia Newton John, someone used AI and instead of Olivia Newton John, it's Jungkook from BTS and it just works!

I don't think I could choose a favourite line from a song but I do have a favourite song that when I listen to it, it hits! The song in question is Dynamite by BTS. Just an amazing song with a little bit of everything in it. If I had to choose a line in a song that is my favourite and makes a lot of sense, it would be this line from Barry Manilow - It's a Long Way Up The line is "It's a long way up when you're coming from nowhere"

When it comes to listening to music and relaxing, I would have to say that any music that is my favourite or from my favourite artists is music I can relax to. Just recently I have been enjoying listening to BTS, and the members of BTS with their solo music, that has been nice to chill out and relax to whilst listening.

I have been part of a choir. I remember auditioning for the school choir with my friends when I was younger and we all managed to get a place in the choir. I remember we were invited to sing as a choir at a local church, this was something we had to practice and rehearse for which took a whole day. Unfortunately, I fell ill towards the end of the day when we were rehearsing and when I got home, became worse which resulted in me missing out performing the following day.

70's vs 80's vs 90's Classic Rock - Which do you prefer?
Shortie replied to kensonplays's topic in Music
Bon Jovi, Queen and Bryan Adams are some of my favourite classic rock artists, I often find myself going back and listening to songs from these artists and often wondering what happened in music and in the music world? It's a shame we don't hear songs like this anymore. -
What was your experience like being on-air on a radio station?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Music
I can't say I have ever been on-air on a live radio station but I know my mum has in the past when she took part in a contest they were running. I remember my mum telling me about it and not long after she got home, she was listening to the same radio station and they replayed her on the radio winning the contest which she managed to record on a blank tape. It was crazy hearing my mum on the radio even if it was recorded but also awesome at the same time. -
Ever had a song you can't stand stuck in your head? How do you cope?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Music
I have had songs that I can't stand stuck in my head and it was the worst time. There are two songs that I remember getting stuck in my head that I despised and couldn't stand, they were those catchy songs that you hate, those two songs were The Hamster Dance What Does the Fox Say -
I used to listen to the music charts routinely every week years ago, would always have the radio playing with the chart show to find out who the number one was that week. Nowadays, I don't tend to pay much attention to the charts and tend to only check if I see something online about someone being number one or if I know of a new song released and I am curious how well it did in the charts on the first week of release.

What's the Coolest Vacation You've Ever Taken?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
The coolest vacation I would say I ever went on was when me and my brothers went on holiday with my mum, dad, auntie and cousin. I remember it being the most fun I had ever had at the vacation. I remember going swimming in the pool at the place we were on vacation and my cousin would go under the water and grab our legs, was scary but a huge adrenaline rush! -
Those who doesn't dry their body with towel after shower?
Shortie replied to Heatman's topic in General Chat
I can't say I have never known anyone to not dry up after a shower, I always use a towel after I shower to dry up, sometimes I will wrap it around myself and sit and let myself dry off naturally with the help of the towel but for the most part, I dry myself, put on moisturising cream and get dressed. I find if I don't dry myself, my body starts to itch when it is still damp. -
I have found that I need to take naps during the day a lot more often than I ever used to since ending up with health issues I have now. I tend to set myself a time of around 12 pm to 2.30 pm if I take a nap so that I don't oversleep and know I will be able to sleep that night without issue. The days I go without a nap, I know about it the following day and find that a nap is very much needed.

I used to find it difficult to apologise, when I was a kid I would always shy away and avoid confrontation in case I would have to apologise for something down the line. Now that I am older, I find it easier to apologise if I have done something and I should apologise, sometimes it's not the easiest thing to do but always the best and right thing if you are in the wrong.

I always brush my teeth twice a day and it's always done after I have eaten. I will wake in the morning and eat my breakfast and have a drink before I clean my teeth and I won't clean my teeth on a night until I have finished eating and drinking. Sometimes I will brush more than twice if I feel I need to or if something gets stuck in my teeth.

I am not someone who is a fan being in the limelight, I would much rather lead a life that is quiet and personal. I find with fame you either get a lot of fake people wanting to know you or you end up with a lot of drama. I would much rather have fortune than fame.

I remember the days with no internet very well. Kids played outside, socializing was more than it is now and you had to research things using the library rather than searching on Google. The first time I used the internet it was dial up and boy was that annoying if someone wanted to use the phone!

Would you rather be a stand-up comedian or a concert pianist?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I have always been terrible at making up my own jokes, I tend to be good at witty comebacks but I feel it takes more than that to be a successful comedian. Given the choice between being a stand up comedian or a concert pianist, I feel I would be more successful as a concert pianist. -
I have always been someone who has a soft spot for salted snacks, most people I know tend to crave sweet stuff but savoury is my weakness. When stress kicks in, the one thing I find I crave is crisps (potato chips) or salted peanuts and salted cashews. I am always careful when eating anything salty such as the above and will only eat so much when I crave it.

I remember burning CDs very well! I used to spend hours downloading mp3s to my computer through Napster and then making playlists and burning them to a CD. I have always been someone who has been picky when it comes to albums, most of the time I would buy an album and some of the songs on the album I would never listen to, it made more sense to make playlists of my favourite songs and burn them to a CD.

Do You Prefer Your Food Slightly Burnt or Slightly Raw?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I have a fear of eating any kind of meat that is either still raw or slightly raw, the thought of rare steak is something I have never been able to get behind even though some people seem to love it. I would much rather have my food slightly burnt than slightly raw. -
I am not too bothered about the colour of my towel as long as it does the job. I am fond of purple and given the chance, I would have everything purple. If I were to buy myself a new towel, I would be more inclined to pick up a purple one rather than any other colour.

I always wash my dishes immediately after eating. Something I have learned over the years is how if I leave something and get to doing something else, I tend to forget what I still needed to do, realize and by then, can't be bothered to do it, this is exactly why when I take my plate out, I just wash it up so it's done out of the way.
