  1. It completely baffles me. In most cases you would think it would be due to competition but competition for what, they create games and you create a drink, why the issue with the use of the word Monster because it's the name of your popular drink. I feel a lot of the time, companies like this try to get greedy and when they do, they start to take advantage and we get this abuse of trademarks.
  2. Oh for sure! If the game is done and developed right and they get it right I see this being a huge success! With so many Harry Potter fans that are gamers but also with the potential to bring people who don't play games to often to the game if they are Harry Potter fans, there is high hope for this game and I only hope they get it right.
  3. I often wonder what goes through the minds of people who feel they can take something and copy it with a crappy remake so to speak and then call it their own game. Unfortunately, I feel as though at least now many people will keep trying this exact same thing, especially for a game that has a lot of success hoping to branch off that success themselves. Good for Sony on taking that down when they did.
  4. I can fully see why this character would be one that you find most encouraging. It's not too often you see people that are willing to jump into danger to help others or for a good cause so it is always good to see things like video game characters that do that as it can give you the inspiration to want to also be just like them.
  5. This is true and a lot of game developers tend to add it but make it so small or in a place it can't always be easily found and not every gamer tends to see it. Of course, due to it being there in the game that covers them but I do feel more should be done to ensure that developers do end up facing some kind of penalization if someone ends up having some kind of seizure from the game and the warning was too small or not in a place that could be easily seen.
  6. Mario is definitely one of the ones that I associate most as a mascot but Sonic is very much up there in as you said the top 5. When I think of gaming and gaming mascots, the first two I always think of are Mario and Sonic and then after that ones like Crash Bandicoot, Waluigi and such. I believe if you are more of a fan of Sonic over Mario you will be more biased but the same thing can be said about someone who prefers Mario over Sonic 🙂
  7. Coming back to this thread after a little while and I do have something to add about water and as a gamer feeling claustrophobic. In Fortnite we now see instances where you can actually drown in the game if you get stuck under something whilst in the water, I knew this was possible but didn't realize just how realistic it seems and panic definitely ensues when that happens for me in game LOL
  8. Have to admit, the live side of TikTok now is getting worse with drama and also I am starting to see more NPC live streams popping up as well which seems to be making people a lot of money. It's a shame that we are not seeing more professional content creators on the platform as I feel TikTok could have done with that. I tend to avoid the live side of TikTok unless I know someone is live I would be interested in.
  9. It was a shame that this game ended up being such a flop if I am honest. So many were excited for this release and it coming to Game Pass as well meant it was so much easier for others to be able to play it as well without it making a huge hole in their finances. Unfortunately, I feel we are seeing this a lot and it is laziness in some cases from the developer which never does them any favours.
  10. You're not wrong. You would think for a game developer such as Activision Blizzard they would be able to get their games right and prevent severe failings, unfortunately, this is not the case and a lot of the time, it results in gamers no longer being excited or optimistic about the games they are due to release.
  11. It sure is a shame, there are so many skins that I am missing that I would have loved to be able to get my hands on in Fortnite but now they have gone and there is no chance of getting them, it's something I have come to terms with. I think it would be awesome for people to be able to go back to previous battle passes and unlock things they didn't unlock, that would be an amazing feature.
  12. This is amazing and you should be very proud to have been able to launch a game that you have been working on for so long 🙂 It's not something I am into myself but I do know that it is a genre that many people do enjoy 🙂
  13. I have to agree with you, the backwards compatibility function and also the huge game pass library that they have as well compared to PS+ is one of the many reasons most love Xbox. Not only that but I was always someone who preferred the exclusives for Xbox as well over the exclusives for PlayStation.
  14. That is awesome that you were able to get one in a bundle with a 360 🙂 I remember when we had ours it was a lot of fun but a pain for being accurate in picking you up. I never got around to playing Sonic Riders though but many who did play it had a lot of fun so I do hope you are able to get a copy to check it out 🙂

    Original Gamertag?

I remember the yo-yo phase 🙂 was one I went through as well so does explain why you would use a a gamertag that associates with that back then 🙂 I remember the trolling was popular back in the early years of gaming. It's not so bad now and we do get it occasionally still but it's not something I would see people associate with their gamertag now. I guess it is a good thing we can change gamertags as when you are younger, you do tend to go for something you would later regret.
  16. I feel the achievement system is a little outdated now and back when it was new it was popular and everyone wanted a high gamer score. Now it's something that has been out a while with no changes and because of that, the phase everyone went through has phased out. I would love to see an updated achievement system if I am honest.
  17. If the machine is hacked, the minute you go online with it if it is still the same as it used to be, it tends to get bricked my Microsoft meaning you can still play games offline such as single-player games. I would imagine if you are able to download the games that it may not be hacked unless of course they no longer do what they used to with hacked consoles.
  18. I am against it and even if I were able to, I would never want to risk it due to so many games now having the ability to be able to detect when a player cheats and the usual punishment for that is a permanent ban from the game. I believe there was a member from Faze at one point who cheated on Fortnite and he did it on stream as well. Epic Games were alerted and he was permanently banned and could no longer make a new account either.
  19. There are a lot of consoles here that I can honestly say I have never heard of which would explain whether they were either not popular or why they were the worst consoles. I remember the commodore 64, the Atari and the Virtual Boy and I also knew about Ouya but that is about it, the rest are all new to me.
  20. I was unaware that a former member of the E3 team had created another conference but that is good to know. I agree though, it certainly does put as you say, a nail in the coffin. It's a shame as I feel with a lot more dedication E3 could have been so much more and it is a shame it went the way that it did but I guess all good things do come to an end eventually and this is what happened with E3.
  21. I agree and it is a shame that there are not more laws and as you say regulations in place to help prevent this happening when it comes to game developer companies. I guess it' a good thing we don't tend to see it often but for the times it does happen, it is not something you want to realize after making the purchase and enjoying the game. I don't see anything changing anytime soon though to prevent it.
  22. It was a real shame that the single-player of GTA 5 ended up pretty much ignored and never ended up being as important for Rockstar. I understand that the online part of the game, GTA Online was very popular but I feel that was made possible by the DLC's that they were releasing regularly. If they had also done this with the single-player side as well, it could have been just as possible. Definitely a good thing they missed out on.
  23. I expected to play more of my switch but unfortunately, the stick drift issue hit me and now the joycons are difficult to use. I can use it on the dock but sometimes, using it handheld is more convenient. I was playing a lot of Pokemon Unite at one point, I understand that is still quite popular as well. Have you played Pokemon Unite?
  24. I am still running the Xbox One X but my three sons have their own Xbox Series S that they got for Christmas 2021. I am often jealous at not only how fast their console boots up but also just by how fast they can also quick resume a game they were playing. The load in time for games as well is just amazing!
  25. This is very true, you would think by how popular they were it would never happen but when things change and technology changes and how we watch things and play games, if the business in question does not end up keeping up with that and evolving with the current technology, it will in the end result in them having to close and it seems this is what happened to both Gamefly and Blockbuster.
