Not around here it’s not. There’s hundreds of hotdog eating contests every year, and just about every steakhouse has some form of challenge. But then again, rednecks think that eating their weight in beef daily is the equivalent to a congressional Medal of Honor. So it’s normal around here.

A long time ago I heard or Nier Automata, but never paid it any real attention, because it wasn't really my kind of game. Or so I thought. But after watching the trailer you posted, my interest is peaked. I'll admit I knw nothing about the game, but the images do have me interested.

I know that I had to deal with broken game the first time around. The whole reason I got it on Switch is because it's a newer system and to me that should have meant that they had time to fix a lot of the bugs and blowouts that the early releases had. Also it's kinda nice to have it portable.

I switched systems for the game. I doubt I’ll play it on PS3 again. Now I’m playing it on Switch.

people are always talking about this. I don't have a clue how you would stream gaming, or even record it for that matter. I can play games obviously on my PC but doing anything that would be able to go online is out of my knowledge area. Do I need specific equipment, or does my computer/Windows come with what I need? I'm at a total loss here.

Pretty much any cemetery. I find more peace and serenity in cemeteries than I do anywhere else. When I was younger, If I wasn't able to sleep, I would go to a nearby cemetery with a blanket and a pillow. Sometimes in a mausoleum, other times just out in the open. I have always waited until late at night to walk in a cemetery. The stillness of the night, and the quiet is so relaxing. There was a forgotten cemetery in the woods near the house I grew up in that I spent a large amount of time at. The most recent headstone had a death date in 1927. The rest were from the mid to late 1800's. A lot of them were veterans from the Civil War. I spent time pulling up weeds, and trying to re-erect stones that had fallen over. Some were broken, so there wasn't too much I could do for them. I even took some black paint and repainted in the names and dates and everything on the old ones. They were limestone headstones, so they were worn down like crazy. That's the weird thing. The one that had the 1927 date on it was marble. All the rest were limestone. That always perplexed me. If I wasn't stuck in a damn wheelchair, I would go back to it. I really miss being able to visit that cemetery. I think I'm the only one that even knows about it anymore.

That’s when classic gaming comes into play. I play my NES, SNES, and N64 regularly. I’m on one, possibly two, every single day. No regrets.

AOE3 and Twilight Princess make the list for me. AOE had a very eye pleasing look, but the game was just horrible. It was tedious, boring, and just a pain in the ass. And WTF was up with the cheats? A monster truck and a bouncing bust of George Washington? Twilight Princess was absolutely stunning graphically. But the gameplay was so boring. Hyrule had little to offer, the dungeons were cheaply made, it was overblown, and being turned into a damn wolf was the straw that broke the camels back. Not to mention being forced to get whatever move the game wanted you to learn and not letting you progress in the game until you do get it. I know some are optional, but that’s just bullshit. Link is a swordsman, not a fucking ninja.

I’ve never been welcome in any crowd. Always rejected, before I even say my name. So I get attached to the group on FF8. It starts with a loner who isn’t interested in playing around and is all about getting the job done. Then slowly, after working with the other 5 characters they all end up becoming as close as blood. They end up remembering childhood things that they had all forgotten that brings them even closer still. Since I never had an actual family, and literally never once had a friend, I get attached to them. I feel like I’m part of the group when I play the game.

SC2 came out on Game Cube, PS2, and Xbox. I think SC5 is the current one. It may be up to 6 though. I haven’t really kept up with the series. I remember in SC2, the combos were really easy. I always used Kilik. I was best with him and really went far in the game.

A systematic approach to solving puzzles?

I didn’t even start it. I loaded it. But that’s as far as I managed to get. -

Sports that could still work without a crowd present.
The Blackangel replied to Joshua Farrell's topic in Sports
Seeing as how baseball is basically an Ambien prescription, that could go without a crowd. Everyone has already fallen asleep by the bottom of the second anyway. -
I recommend Soul Calibur. Specifically Soul Calibur 2. The adventure part is extremely outside the formula of a fighting game. Get it on Game Cube. Link was the exclusive character on that one. And with all the weapons and abilities you can unlock as you progress, the game offers so much. Also it has a practice mode with no health bar or time limit. You can choose whether you want your opponent to just stand there, or if you want them to fight back. The adventure gets more and more sadistic as you go. I quit doing the adventure when I was starting the fights with 1/4 health and the enemy was invisible with only part of their weapon visible. That bullshit was more than I was willing to tolerate.

Do you listen to game soundtracks when you aren’t gaming?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I used to listen to the Killer Instinct soundtrack all the time. I haven’t heard it in probably 20 years though. -
When was a time for you that simple things should have had a simple or obvious answer but that answer was wrong? 2+2 doesn’t equal 4.

All of the ones that have come out since Disney bought the franchise are a disease. They need to be destroyed, and the franchise given back to Lucas. That's given, not sold. Disney has completely fucked up Star Wars beyond any hope of repair. I can't even bring myself to watch any of the movies anymore. Even 4-6 are ruined for me due to Disney.

I would have to go with Phantom Menace, simply for the fact that Hayden Christiansen wasn't in it. He destroyed episodes 2 & 3 to such an abomination that they make me sick. If it wasn't for him, the entire prequel set would have been more than amazing. Almost on par with episodes 4-6. But I just can't like them due to him.

I'm starting to think I'm the only person in the gaming world that's not a fan of Doom.

I didn't even know of the existence of Power Rangers until after the N64 had been out for a good while. I had never heard of it. I've never watched an episode or played a game. So there's not much to beat @Crazycrab. But you're still an ass for challenging my limited knowledge on the subject. I'll get you back though.😈

At the moment, FF8 on Switch. But I'm considering playing Zelda: Goddess Of Wisdom again. I'm going to make an attempt at beating the third temple that I've found. Hopefully I'll have some damn luck.

Best games to play to soothe anxiety?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
1) It's She. I'm female. 2) It's actually called Word Cookies. You can get it in the app store. It's a free download. I don't know if it's available for android or not, as I use an iPhone.
