  1. I haven’t played it, but I’ve heard a lot of people say that it gets extremely boring really quick.
  2. Lake Hylia in Zelda. Specifically the version from Ocarina. The tranquility of the lake is just calming to me. There have been several times in real life that I’ve started up the game just to take Link there and just leave him alone so I can look at the water. Since I can’t do that IRL anymore, it’s a nice release for me in game.
  3. I never would have expected a statement like that from a developer, but at least they're honest. That garners a lot of respect from me. Simply due to the honesty, I'm going to look into more indie games than usual. My tastes typically run on a fairly narrow stream, but have been getting out there more here lately. How about a recommendation? Games and developers both to check out.
  4. The only good thing I can see from the delay is right in what he said. "The good news is, we're nearly done with development of The Last Of Us Part II. We are in the midst of fixing our final bugs." Every game, despite honest efforts of honest developers has bugs when it hits the shelves that they didn't catch before it was released. So this delay can give them time to weed out bugs that they missed and give the initial release a better game. I'm not trying to shit on anyone. No one is perfect. But, in my eyes, more time to develop equals better results on the finished product.
  5. I'm a classic gamer, and as such, virtually everything I play is a cartridge. So I tend to buy more from eBay than anything. I also shop on the Nintendo eShop quite a bit from my Switch. I think the most I've spent on a single game there was $2.99 or so. Some of the games I've gotten are masterpieces. Some were ok. Others weren't anything special. My favorite so far is Goblin Sword. I have been playing the hell out of it. If you're a fan of old Sega Genesis style graphics then you would love this one. Also there was a game I bought the other day that literally was selling for only one penny. 1 cent. It looked good, and at a single penny whether I liked it or not I wasn't losing a damn thing.
  6. I'm gonna slap myself for this one but.... DRM? I'm not good at acronyms much past "LOL".
  7. Well, it's time. I hate to do it, so I just want to say one last thing to everyone here before I leave the forum... APRIL FOOLS!!!!
  8. That pyramid headed prick is a little creepy, I'll admit.
  9. Ok I have a question for the die hard Skyrim nuts here. When ES6 comes out, are you going to move on and drop Skyrim, or will you continue playing Skyrim as well as ES6?
  10. Something that would be a great undertaking, I don't care who does it, would be some true sequels. Like say a true sequel to Zelda OoT. Ganon breaks out of his confinement and returns to the same Hyrule, the same map, the same characters, all identical, but with some new additions. A final Fantasy 8-2 would be an awesome game. Some of you current gamers would probably like something like a Skyrim 2. Just get some actual true sequels to some games. I know I bitch about sequels a lot, but those aren't picking up right where the previous story left off. the only true sequel I can think of off the top of my head is Final Fantasy X and X2. Everything else, is changes 1000 fold.
  11. To get your fingers used to the motions, I would suggest either Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat. Like the originals on SNES and Sega. Those will get you going. Then once your fingers are familiar with how to move, you could move up to more advanced games like Soul Calibur.
  12. @Crazycrab you're not the only one triggered by that term. It makes my blood boil too. You have nothing to apologize for. But that term has almost singlehandedly driven me away from this forum.
  13. It looks like a mix of Contra, Metroid, and Battletoads. I'm getting it. Thanks for the post @skyfire!!!!
  14. But that's precisely my point. The console IS meant to do only one thing. As such, they are able to concentrate more on the game itself, because that's all the console is crafted to do. Whereas a PC is set up to do hundreds of other things on top of gaming.
  15. I'm 38 and with a handful of exceptions, I suck. I can count the ones that I really rock on one hand. I used to be good at a lot, but since I missed more than 10 years of gaming, I went rusty as hell, and now suck at almost all of them. Zelda games are virtually the only ones I'm any good at anymore. But when you're so old that you remember when dirt was the hottest toy on the shelves, it kinda comes with the territory.
  16. In every level, Goblin Sword has 2 treasure chests, and 3 crystals for you to find to fully clear the level. The thing with that is that there are tons of false walls in every level that keep them hidden as well as give you access to otherwise inaccessible areas in the level. It can be frustrating as hell, and a major puzzle to figure out how to get them all. But it's totally worth it. The game is a blast.
  17. My girl has been trying to beat this bastard for a while now and just can’t kill it. We know that we have to take out its eyes first. Then go for the mouth, but that’s easier said than done. Does anyone have any tips or strategies for killing the damn thing? Here’s our inventory: 2 freeze bolts 4 flash bolts 6 harpoons 5 explosive bolts 6 shock bolts 2 grenades Revolver Shotgun Sniper Rifle HELP!!!!
  18. I found this at walmart.com and thought it was rather interesting. https://www.walmart.com/ip/SanDisk-256GB-MicroSDXC-UHS-I-Card-for-Nintendo-Switch-SDSQXAO-256G-GNCZN/482759929
  19. I would say the worst team in the NHL would be the Blues. Until 2019 they had never taken the cup. In fact they had never even made it though the playoffs to the finals.
  20. I would go for a couple of the old ones, but for just a couple bucks, I can get the entire NES and SNES catalogue, so I doubt I'm going to bother with it. I have a 128g card in my Switch. Don't judge me, it was all they had or I would have gotten at least a 256. Preferably a 512 or bigger, but they were sold out.
  21. The only card game I ever played was Magic. I was never particularly good at it, but enjoyed it. I quit playing during 8th ED though. I have no idea what ED it's on now, but do know there are some gamers around here that can take you out in one turn. Those damn Infect decks are brutal.
  22. What about something like react videos? Where the person has themselves in a small square in whatever corner and they're watching the video in full frame and vice versa? How do you do that?
