Yes, purification of water is doable, but the amount of energy it takes makes the process uneconomical on a large scale. It usually takes the form filtering then distillation. Distillation isn't difficult, it's a simple process of boiling contaminated water, catching the water vapour then allowing said vapour to cool. The cooled vapour is now pure water with no contamination. It works, but trying to do it on the kind of scale you're referring to is very difficult. The equipment necessary would be expensive and one would need a fuel source to boil the water, which is costly and would have a large environmental impact.

I concur with your choice. I would much rather lose my phone. Losing your passport can ruin your world. It gives someone so much information, that they can steal your identity from that one document, and you're completely fucked after that. I actually found a passport in my front yard one day a few years ago. It belonged to a woman I had never met or even heard of. I made a post on Craigslist that only said that I had found a passport. And that if the owner could email me and identify the name and sex on the passport that I would return it to them. Otherwise I would be taking it to the police department a couple days later. I don't remember the exact time frame, but for the sake of argument, and example would be I found it on Wednesday and said I wold drop it off at the PD on Friday. No one ever responded so I took it to the PD.
But it was so weird. That a random passport wound up in my yard. And if I remember right, the woman wasn't even from my town. And this is a big town. Around 130k permanent residents. When school is in session it easily tops 200k. There are a lot of colleges here in town. So who, what, when, where, why, and how are questions that will bug me for the rest of my life.
Who is/was she?
What happened that got her passport in my yard?
When exactly did it happen?
Where did the passport come from?
Why was it thrown out in the first place?
How did all this come into play?
Was there an incident that was never reported or at least unknown to the public? Like the judicial system decided to keep it under wraps for whatever reason?
So damn many questions, and no chance for answers.

He earned 5 bronze stars doing it. He was superior to no one. He did what he was sent to do, and came home afterwards. He saw some sick shit, and it changed him forever. I tell people I'm 29+10. It confuses some, but others get it. In this coming January, I'll be 29+11.

My point exactly. They try to blame it on the alcohol, which is a dead giveaway that they're lying. Already you can't trust them. That means it's time to look elsewhere, instead of wasting your time getting into a relationship with someone you know will lie to you on something that serious.

I think it's a great idea. It would give a place for everything you mentioned that wouldn't get bumped back by new threads, and lost in the forum. We all hear rumors, and don't know if they fact or not. Also PS+ is something I've been looking into and need advice on (among other things) about it and other services.
So I say do it.

This doesn't apply to alcoholics (sorry @Reality vs Adventure) but you can also get completely shitfaced together and ask each other the important questions, like "Are you a cheater?" and record it. Then the next day watch the recording together and go back over it and each question and answer. That will bring pretty much everything to light whether you want it to or not.

Online only. That is the number one deal breaker for me. Strictly first person only would be in second place, depending on the game. For example I love Hexen, and it's a first person game. For those unfamiliar with it, make Doom a medieval game and you have Hexen. But for games like RDR2 and Skyrim, if they were first person only, I never would have gotten into RDR2, and would have never given Skyrim so many (failed) chances to draw me in. The biggest thing that turned me off from Skyrim is the controls. no matter how I change them they are just clunky and unusable for me.
