I agree - I don't even understand Death Stranding's lore AT ALL whereas I'm far more versed in Metal Gear and Metal Gear is the far more interesting universe.

Returnal PC Recommends 32GB of RAM for best quality
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Well, why are we so surprised, it takes 100+ GB to download most modern games and every update is an extra 10+ GB (looking at you COD) and games went from 8GB to 16GB as the recommended. That being said, 32 is excessive, if they said 24GB, I could understand as that would be natural progression - why does a game need 32 GB of RAM. Is the game world that massive and detailed? It's likely a PC exclusive so it kind of makes more sense but that's still excessive. I just didn't think we'd need 32 GB to run games so soon. -
Microsoft has 10 year commitment to bring COD to Nintendo consoles
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
You're right - it's been ages since like the Modern Warfare days if I'm not mistaken. Now if we could get other titles like Mortal Kombat to make a return on the Switch, that would be marvelous. -
I can think of quite a few: Skyrim, Fallout 4, Need For Speed Heat, Need For Speed Most Wanted (Original), Devil May Cry and more. I mean I could go on forever about all these game especially the lore behind most of them.

Are parents ultimately responsible for what their kids play?
killamch89 replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
Parents do because they can limit what their child can and cannot get. I mean, I wouldn't have played Mortal Kombat as a kid if my parents didn't allow me to. -
I had one or two Just Dance games but honestly, they're tough to play. I even had a specialized mat with arrows and boy did it give me a workout.
-
I haven't played it before but it's not that I can't sing. It's just that I prefer not having to expend myself that much playing videogames.

I'm in between my Gba and PSP - it's a shame that Sony didn't give enough support to the PSP because it had loads of potential. The GBA had so many great games that I still play on my GBA emulator like Broken Sword.

I'm not spending that much money for any controller - I mean, it doesn't actually give you that much of an advantage in many games so I don't see the need to buy one for anything over $50.
-
It's inevitable - as technology improves, games will become more graphically demanding and need way more resources to run them. Hell, I've seen that with some phone apps as well.

Only if a mission is extremely hard and I'm having a hard time completing it, then I'll start doing other quests/missions/stuff to make myself a lot stronger.

Yep, in the early 2000s, I used to go to the arcade every Saturday but unfortunately, Covid has forced most of them out of business.
-
When I getting a bigger place and my game room is bigger, I'd get a few of them.

I agree, I'm not going past $600 for any console at all. My gaming laptop and my phone are the only two devices that cost around or more than that.
-
I don't - at least not immediately. If I see that I'm not really using my old console and it's basically going to waste, I'll sell it or just give it to a family member.

Simplest Answer - Konami happened. The same thing can be said about Contra - both iconic series in the 80's and 90's, Konami has been too busy building gambling machines for casinos to make great games anymore. That's the reason I keep saying that they should sell the IP to the Devil May Cry team at Capcom because they'd give us a great game for sure. Konami has a whole treasure trove of great IPs that are going to waste such as: Castlevania, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Contra and more that I can't quite remember.

Honestly, I never even knew this existed. I used/still eat Lays, Snickers, Skittles, Starburst etc. during my gaming sessions.
-
Agreed but as I've said in several posts, that stigma isn't going to go away for the foreseeable future because it's been so deeply rooted since the early days of gaming history.

Which is better? Everybody Loves Raymond or Friends?
killamch89 replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Movies & TV
Same - I could sit and watch Friends over and over and never grow tired of it. Everybody Loves Raymond can's capture my attention for that long. -
To be fair, I'm being biased because I've only watched Breaking Bad so that's my answer by default. I should probably check out Better Call Saul.

What are the most disturbing movies you have watched?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Movies & TV
I agree, it's one of the most brutal movies I've ever seen and you can say that about every Saw movie. -
This is a tricky situation - it sounds like you've grown attached to him and don't want to return him but he's constantly injuring you... Do they have obedience training for parrots? I know about cats and dogs but I've never hear of one for birds.
-
Oh yeah, I've heard of that one before - I'll check it out.

I agree - all these single dating coaches giving "advice" about marriage when they've never been in one or have been divorced. I used to have this old female supervisor that tried giving other young ladies advice about relationships when she couldn't even get a man if her life depended on it. She tried involving me in her conversation once and the first thing I asked was why should anyone listen to her when she can't even get a man? That's like me asking the meth head in the parking lot how to be a Customs Officer. Needless to say, that's the last time she ever started a convo like that while I was around.

I mean, I have heard of it before since my mother works in health but I've yet to encounter such a person in real life. You should check if you have yeast overgrowth in the body - that may also be a contributing factor. It's quite a common thing and even though modern medicine tries to downplay it, it's been around since ancient times.
