  1. I've done it before, but like @Crazycrab said, It's down to luck... ... and that sounds terrible. Amongst competent players that's a game that would effectively begin and end at the break. Pot a ball on break, and you've got two pots to clear, don't pot a ball and you opponent had only three posts to clear. The rack is only six balls and because it's unlike in 9-ball or rotation you don't have to hit the lowest numbered ball, you have multiple targets and less objects to block them so getting snookered on one of your balls is very unlikely. So it really would come down to whether a ball goes down on the break or not.
  2. Play Skyrim on it, that's what happens with every new platform it seems.
  3. I'm on the verge of locking this topic because this is looking like an attempt to troll now. Those shots are from a browser game caller Happy Wheels, something completely different to what you have you been claiming to be looking for. Stat making sense or I will lock this topic, and keep up this nonsensical posting and there will be further action.
  4. Now it's starting to sound like a problem with your Switch itself, more specifically the A button on your Joy Con. Do you have and alternative controller to use on your Switch, like the Switch Pro?
  5. Trick or Treat, A Plague's Tale's sweet! Tomorrow I promise myself I will beat.
  6. Thier mobile games are hard to find. They're all over The Play Store and I assume it's a similar story on the Apple Store as well. Not that I recommend them, obviously, avoid them like the plague. Another thing I've thought about that may even be the worst thing about this is without the flash games that made the Miniclip name, now they're just another mobile publisher putting out nothing better than the typical mobile dross that every other ass-hole mobile game company is doing. So thier very identify, that was already fading badly, is now just... gone, replaced by a greedy, soulless husk. It really is a shame.
  7. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I used to love Miniclip's web browser games back in the day, but the company that exists now barley resembles the one I loved. From a creative and vibrant company putting out fun, if slightly basic, web browser games to the publisher of some of the worst and most predatory free-to-play mobile games out there that, if anything, play worse than thier flash games. Trust me, I'd tried a number of them and they're all the same 1v1 multiplayer titles loaded with pay-to-win lootboxes. I have no doubt they're making a lot more money through the mobile gaming venture than they ever could have with thier browser games, but they're complete scum now.
  8. You might have mentioned those were roads, might have clued us into the possibility you were looking for a racing game. Or better yet, tell us you're looking for a racing game. So, is it something like; F-Zero Series (the Image is from F-Zero X) Wipeout or Rollcage? Tell us were are least getting close, but you can't figure our how to describe this game you're looking for with terms and details we can actually use, we'll never be able to help you.
  9. Before I get into it, know that it is possible to quote multiple posts in one reply, you don't need to add another reply for each response. To the subject at hand. I tried looking this up and I can find nothing about this game having these issues on the Switch, this doesn't appear to be a common bug. Even if it were a common problem given the fact the game was released over two years ago, it's fair to assume it would have been patched by now. Still, make sure you're running the latest version of the game and make sure the firmware on your Switch console is also up to date. I also see that you bought the game on eBay indicating it might be used, so check the cartridge for any damage or dirt. You could also try deleting the game and reinstalling (I don't know for sure if the Switch installs files for a cartridge based game, but it's worth a try.). If none of that works, it might be time to report the purchase as defective to eBay and start the process of getting your money back.
  10. You are aware that steaming services and subscription services track the amount of people that play that game, watch that movie, listen to that song and so on, right? Not only does this generate, as you put point it, "direct point of reference for their popularity and a very good way to measure the audience's interest", but those numbers also set how much is paid to the developers/artists/publishers from the host of those streaming/subscription services. I have Gamepass, been subscribed to it for I think about a year, and I've played a grand total of around 9, maybe 10 games through it. Most of which I've either played before on other platforms (Wanted to play those games on PC, because that's whare I use Gamepass) or am playing to beat, like most recently A Plague Tale: Requiem. For something like Netflix or particularly music streaming services like Spotify, I'd agree at least in part. People to pay to explore what's out there on these services as there's little risk to trying something out because the content there tends to be short. Like you listened to that song, album or watch hat movie or first episode or two of that TV series and didn't like, that's no big dealt, it's a couple of hours of your life lost, so what. For video games people tend to be more selective because it takes usually takes hours to know if the game will actually be a good fit for you, even if you have Gamepass or some other subscription. Yes, there's less financial risk by trying a game out through subscription you have anyway, but that's still a lot of time to waste if you try games randomly, so I'm a long way from convinced that's how people actually use these services, I sure as hell don't. If I've used anything to try out games I'd never normally consider playing, it would probably be the games that have been away for free, like on Epic Games Store, GOG and occasionally Steam. And you know, I do play liked games like they way you described. I don't I've played more than about 3-4 hours of any of them with maybe one or two exceptions.

    Sum up 2022

    No kidding. The British Prime Minister just resigned. That means in 2022 we would have been lead by at least 3 people.
  12. So it is in fact a Silent Hill 2 remake. Good. This version of Konami making an all new Silent Hill without Hideo Kojima would only have cocked it up. There's still a chance they could cock this up too obviously, but time will tell. It's also a timed PS5 console exclusive, meaning it will be on PC and come to other planforms, likely the XBox S/X, after a year. Anyway, here's the trailer for those who are interested.
  13. I'm going to assume that's a typo and that you meant to to say that you are not in support of any targeted remark against any race, class or group of people who aren't doing anything to break the law. Can you please try and be more careful?
  14. The plot has thickened here with new information uncovered by Jason Schreier for this Bloomberg article. To summarise, it appears the $4000 offered to Hellena Taylor was offered for a cameo appearance after the lead role had already been recast and obviously after she had already rejected the original offer to reprise her staring role. According to the article, the actual offer for the lead role was $3000-$4000 per session with a minimum of 5 sessions, making the total offer offer $15,000+. Don't get me wrong, that's still a pittance compared to what a voice actor of a TV series or movie would would get to reprise a starring role in multi-million dollar franchise, but it's still a lot more than what Hellena claimed. Again, according to the sources in the article, Hellena actually demanded a six-figure sum and proceeds from the game as payment for her work, a deal Platinum Games rejected. Hellena has, of course, denied these claims, but somebody is clearly lying, and with NDA's and other legal ramifications involved in opening the relevant documents and information to the public, it's unlikely we'll get the truth anytime soon. Let me be clear, even if Helena has bent the truth, the problems this incident has exposed with how VA's are paid in the video game industry are still very real. So I don't really care if she's telling the truth or not, this pressure on the industry to compensate the talent who make these games possible in a way that's fair still matters and we, as fans, need to keep piling it on. Here's a video from YongYea that goes into a more detail.
  15. Just showed my better half this thread and we've decided to give it a go. I'll probably be terrible, but it might be fun to try.
  16. Well, AS a Scotsman, I'm not really insulted by this, but wearing something just to be a part of a fad is the wrong reason to wear anything, especially traditional dress. I have worn a kilt both inside and outside of, let's say, "traditional functions", and whilst they are more comfortable than they might look, they're not practical. Let me put it this way, the Sporran; Is all but essential not just for the look, but because a kilt obviously doesn't have pockets. I'm only pointing that out to show that there is no real reason to wear one of these things outside of an occasion, an event. The fad @The Blackangel described will fade and just go away to be replaced by some other short term, trendy nonsense no doubt. Still, people have done things way more expensive and reckless in an attempt to make themselves look like trend-following twits, so I'm really that concerned about this.
  17. That's midnight, so it's time...

      Well, after a little over 28 hours of game time (For some reason Xbox tally it in minutes);

      On a game that should take over at 10 hours that that;

      I am done with A Plague Tale: Requiem. Will gather my though and notes and start working on a review. Now @DC, this review obviously isn't based on the Steam version of the game that you gifted me through Bid for Rewards, but still consider this review another way for me to say thank you for the game once the review is done.

  18. Yeah, RDR2 does this well and it needed to because when you're making what is basically GTA set in late 19nth century America you need to get that right. Horses are an undeniably smaller part of the upcoming games, but I felt The Witcher 3 and TLOU 1 and especially 2 also did this very well.
  19. I remember doing something like this when playing FFXII TZA when trying to decide what classes to assign to character. For those unfamilar with the system, here's a video I think should help you out. You see, it matters because certain bonus attributes and abilities can be accessed on these boards depending on whare you "purchase" the quickenings (Basically super abilities) and summons as well as it the boards sometimes sharing common licences that get redeemed on both of the licence boards you have chosen for a single character. This means by carefully choosing whare on you licence boards to purchase quickenings and summons and matching certain licence boards together with one character you can access parts on the licence boards you would otherwise not be able to access. If this sounds complicated, well, it's because it is and to really get the best out of this system takes serious research.
  20. I've moved the topic to "Video Games" as this isd centred around a specific title. Strongly enough, that would be my guess as well. The 2nd picture reminds of those sections you fly through to re-charge your energy supply.
  21. Can you explain what kind of mouse you're using (band, model) and what kind of surface are you're using your mouse on?
  22. Trick or treat! This time, I actually AM drinking...
  23. Yes. If I remember correctly Tracer was revealed to have a girlfriend in a Christmas edition of the Overwatch comic book a few years ago and people lost their shit over that too. It was stupid then and it's stupid now. I'e spoken about representation and inclusion a lot on this forum, but still don't understand why some people take such issue with it. It's not like the the straight, white, cisgender population are underrepresented or even misrepresented in entertainment media. True, LGBTQ+ representation is rarely strictly needed in a video game, but the fact is it shouldn't matter to these people, but it does matter to those groups because it makes them feel like they count, like they're respected and valued as much as anybody deserves. Fiction, or at least good and relevant fiction, reflects reality, so anyone who takes issue with LGBTQ+ representation in videos are not angry that it's being represented in thier fiction, they're angry that it's being represented in thier reality. Representation and inclusivity isn't "stifling creativity" as they inevitably claim either because they don't get to decide what counts as somebody else's creative liberty. That's a shield they hide behind because they don't like to admit thier own prejudices, even to themselves. It's just a load of stupid, easily offended, immature little boys usually and shamefully shaped as grown men being truly pathetic.
