Do you like turn-based combat?

Is turn-based combat in video games something you like or dislike?

Considering that I love FF8, I would say it's good in some games, and a blow to others. It all depends on the game itself.

Because of Final Fantasy games, I can tolerate it but I still wouldn't say I flat out like it. It depends on how it functions in-game.

I can be really addicting when It's done well, or bore you to sleep when it's done badly.

 

I'd say FFX has probably best system I've played in a RPG but there also a ton of strategy games like Civilization and X-Com that use turns as well so there's a surprising amount of variety in turn based systems.

Nope to be honest, i always found them to be so boring, except in few games (those old megaman games)

It's tedious in most series but in Final Fantasy, I'd say they handled it pretty well for the most part...Those Megaman games for the GBA also did it quite well.

I hate the classic turn based games like panzer general and might and magic, but I love some more modern turn based games, like XCOM, Jagged Alliance.

My love for Final Fantasy 8 is definitely a good go for me in turn-based combat because it's very interesting in FF.
