StaceyPowers Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 What game have you played which scared you the most? This could mean jumping out of your seat in surprise when an enemy jumped you in a creepy environment, or in terms of concepts which you mulled over hours later which were just downright disturbing.
Yarik Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Dead by Daylight as a survivor. I don't like the feeling of being trapped with a killer in a place where he could appear in front of you in any second and hit you.
DylanC Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Resident Evil VII in VR (terrifying!), Silent Hill 2 (more psychological horror) and Outlast (creepy AF!).
Katri Marcell Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I don't get ever scared in horror games. What's up with that? Is there something wrong with me? The only thing I remember is just getting a bit startled in Layers of Fear in the kitchen-fruit scene. Apart from that, not even P.T managed to scare me 😢 And I love the thrill of horror games so f-ing much. Such a pity

Normally, most horror games don't frighten me at all either but Alien Isolation had me hyperventilating whenever an Alien was nearby or I felt like one was close enough. The way the game's music suddenly becomes so drastic - it truly immerses you in the experience that you are on a Space Vessel with an extremely deadly creature.

I haven't played much of Alien Isolation but all games in claustrophobic sci-fi spaces like Dead Space, Hollow and SOMA are definitely doing the trick. Even though I'm still searching for a ghost-demon game that will be true to the genre
UleTheVee Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Nothing beats Silent Hill. That game manages to get you scared big time.

It certainly gives Alien: Isolation a run for its money.

Imagine how scary Resi 2 is now that they have learned how to make games like Resi 7

It is not like a completely new game and they can't really change the story or gameplay elements very much or else most of the RE fanbase will complain about it.
Reality vs Adventure Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Exorcist on Oculus VR is frightening right through the spine. The scariest I've ever seen.
Justin11 Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Zombie attack or dead target is one of the scariest game I've played. God of war is quite scary too, but not as scary as dead target. Edited October 20, 2021 by Justin11
Head_Hunter Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 The first time I played silent hills made in 1999, it really increased my empathy indeed. I played it via my then PS2 console those days. It's an old retro game.
Justin11 Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Dead space, Resident Evil 7 are simply scary games which I've played in the past that really got me napping.
Head_Hunter Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 I've watched dead space trailer is simply scary indeed, I believe the gameplay will simply be like the way the trailer displayed.
