  1. I remember the Capcom that thought DLC stood for "Disc Locked Content". I think it was Marvel Vs Capcom 3 where the characters meant to be exclusive to the PlayStation (a dick move all by itself) were actually on the Xbox dics along with, of course, the DLC characters. It was unbelievable, and they defended this by saying the put the DLC on the disk for "player convenience", in that people wouldn't have to download the characters before being able to use them. Utterly ridiculous. However, I feel that Capcom are a very different company now. Somewhere around the launch of the PS4 and XB1, an unfortunate yet justified lack in consumer confidence in the company lead them to a point whare they were in very real trouble financially. A lot of upcoming games were cancelled and they barely survived. However, they saw the error in their ways and started to bring some real quality and value back to into their games, turned back on the business practices that had put people off from buying their products and they slowly rebuild both their business and their reputation. So, I'm not surprised to see this version of Capcom taking a stand like this and I'm glad they are.

  2. I'm sure everyone has encountered this at some point. Online gamers have most likely encountered a hell of a lot more of it. Have you ever gamed with/against someone who was so superior that it made you not want to even play the game in question ever again? Or someone who was so entitled that if you won, they would act like a spoiled 2 year old and throw a tantrum? I've seen gamers go nuts over losing and revert to infancy. There's several reddit review videos on YouTube where the channel host reads a post from people going nuts over being shot in CoD, or losing in Super Smash Bros or some other online game. One kid even got his mother on the game line and she threatened to have the person who shot her son arrested and sue him for it. If that isn't entitlement and superiority, I don't know what is. If I remember right the kid was banned from the group, and after it made the rounds, no other group would let him in either. I encountered this in a minor scale. When I would beat the neighbor kids in a fighting game like Mortal Kombat, they would get so pissed off. Mainly because they got their ass kicked by a girl.

  3. This is the best thing I can think of to do. Maybe developers will take notice. Maybe not. But if we can get this spread around the internet, it can't hurt. http://chng.it/rGPvhxB82G

  4. I could be wrong, but I've heard that Wolfenstein 3D is banned in Germany because there are Nazis in it. Even though you're literally fighting the Nazis. Go figure.

  5. How strictly are we interpreting the term "ban" here? I ask because the controversy over Rule of Rose was by far the most ridiculous I've ever seen surrounding any one video game before. There were indeed straight-up ban proposals directed toward it in France, Poland, at the EU parliament, and it wound up being cancelled in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom as a result of all the panic. The basis? Rumors that it featured children being buried alive underground and under-aged sexual sado-masochism. In reality, the game features no sexual content at all and most certainly does not feature children being buried alive. None of this stuff was true! As a result though, very few copies of the game were ever made and it is today, on average, the most expensive PlayStation 2 game one can buy second-hand. An unused copy goes for more than $900 today on eBay.

I'm older than you are (not by much though), so don't feel too ancient.

  7. Oooh, Interesting. It's nice to see actual companies being against loot boxes. But, this is Capcom we're talking about, and I'm not sure if you all remember, but years back they had content on disc that was locked behind a paywall. This was for one of the street fighter games. But, if they changed their ways and aren't for this sort of stuff, I hope more companies jump on board with their opinion. You can read bore about this info here - techraptor

  10. The US was victim of a cult. The members followed their leader like lemmings off a cliff. If they were hanging onto Adolf's dick any harder they would have been his nutsack. Too bad they didn't all actually jump off a cliff. That would have been the best thing for the world.

  11. I mean Skyrim is in the middle of a civil war so I can understand the drab grey color. That being said, I do have to agree with you on Bethesda's inconsistency and the fact that they keep removing features every game. In Oblivion, you could make your own spells and rename your own potions among other things. In Skyrim, you can't do most of that stuff without mods and the worst part is, Bethesda will continue to shit on their modding community - one of the main reasons for their success.

  12. By nature, I'm nocturnal. I always have been. It's why graveyard shift jobs have always been the best for me. It's also why every window in my house has light blocking curtains, and in my office I use black light bulbs. Light and I don't mix. But as such, denying myself sunlight means I have a vitamin D deficiency, so I have to take supplements. Small price to pay though.
