Completely get that yeah. Skyrim has fun combat and it's interesting but it's slot. Fast paced action hack n slash style with a bunch of effects is always a winner to me

Zombies, vampires, mummies, devils. All the basic horror genre monsters. Dragons also seem to be popular. Even SMB had Bowser which was somewhat of a dragon.

Wolves are very common enemies in videogames - I can think of very few games that don't have a wolf or werewolf as some kind of enemy.

I have recently noticed that some of the games are pretty one directional and don't have much open possibilities. Which kind of ruins the fun in todays time. I mean we are not in 90s anymore. We need more exploitable options in action and adventure games.

Totally agree 100%! There are even optional bosses, man. The cryptic nature really adds to Dark Souls imho.
