How do you feel about the concept of AI gaming
Reality vs Adventure replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
Giving AI freedom to do what it wants becomes viral like and will end up breaking its own game. You would have to set limits, and when you do that it becomes regular programmed AI like what we are used to. How can they create different story paths? That would end up being some random wacky shit that throws the whole story off. Unless it's a free roam open world with no story, then the AI can generate random quests. But a whole story? I don't see it being possible. I think the closest that comes to that is AC Odyssey where every village has message boards that has a bunch of side quests you can choose to do. And new ones are updated every day. Then when you do the quest, the AI randomly places a bandit camp on the map you go and attack. But to be able to instantly create a city or major story arc, the game will probably need to constantly be updated and our internet speeds and system speeds aren't up to the task yet. And reading other comments, I can agree that it would make the NPC's too challenging for the game. In a horror game, the sentient AI would be extremely scary, which is a good thing. You can even have a camera attached and the AI can see your room and say, "I will jump through that mirror next to that glass table, and strangle you with those shoe laces." I wouldn't be able to go to sleep after that. -
Could games help us with climate change?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Maybe an apocalypse simulation game where you world build and you have to improve your industry with updated technology and minimize the effects to the environment. And discover new things to protect it. You fail when devastation wipes out humanity. You win when you found solutions to become industrial and responsible. You would have to monitor things like CO2, weather changes, water levels, pollution index, contaminants in soil and wildlife and water and everything in between. You would control fossil fuels and clean energy, balance finances. Minimize wars. Build sustainable cities and villages that don't completely change the habitat like not screwing up the water supply in arid areas or incompetence creating arid areas due to wasteful water management. And these things do affect climate. There definitely could be a good simulation made. And it could be taught in schools as a fun learning experience. Games like global warming simulations, pandemic simulations, Pollutants simulation, sustainable food supply simulation. But instead, in reality we have dark money from lobbyists who have billions to throw at preventing the education and awareness of fighting industrial irresponsibility. Humans lose. -
A puzzle is something that has a definite solution. When you solve it, you progress or get an award. Everything else would be strategy as there are different ways to go about something. If you can solve a puzzle more than one way, then you probably broke the intention.

My sound would be walking on pebbles and pebbles tumbling downhill. There is something harmonic about it yet makes you on guard.

Apple would be a tricky one because they are caught up in so much computer and phone technology that they would wrap themselves in lawsuits like what Microsoft has gone through over the years to make sure they have fair business and consumer practices. I prefer a smaller company making a console.

Let's create a video game

The adventurer says to the dragon "I can't believe they did this to you. Do you remember me at all? You answered my call, but I don't remember anything except, except how to call for you." -
Let's make this fun and interesting; and dark, or bright. You can post as many times you like with a new song and poem each time. Post a song along with a short poem as you imagine a battle. It could be 1st person as yourself, or from a 3rd person perspective. Make it gory or pg. Be free and don't feel shy. Let your warrior come out. Here is my example: My short poem is beneath the song. Listen to the song while you read the poem, that is the rule. Read the poem again while the song plays through all the way. 5 min max should be good enough for a song. Short songs are better like 3-4 minutes. But make sure to read while you listen. Start the music 1st of course before you read. Get the feel of the song for a sec. Then start reading. This is my battle song. It doesn’t sound like much. But it’s not like the Gods cheer for me. I defy the Gods and fight. As the song starts slow, that is me cutting your face open. You see your shoulder man fall. You see me running at you. Nothing will stop me. Not even death. I will hold 10 breaths under water before I let you defeat me. Gods give me no choice so I make my own and defy the Gods. You cannot kill me. I still have 10 breaths. Blood splatters in my face and I don’t know or care whose it is. More warmth sprays me. I still have full life. I trip over limbs as I am still running at you. No God can help you. No God can save me. I will take every force you have in your living body. I’m gonna fucking kill you. I never gave you a second thought. Till I was judged; in Valhalla. Now I run at you for eternity. Every time you think of me, I will be running at you…Eternal.

Longest time you’ve spent on character creation

I haven't played Saints Row 4 yet, but I can't imagine how they improved from the earlier series customizing characters. Must be cool. -

I was a bad ass gymnast. Traveled to compete. My bitch mother dated my coach and ruined it. I was on a team. Las Vegas Lazers and then Las Vegas Gymnastics. My mother ruined the whole fucking team turning our coach into an alcoholic and wrecking himself on a motorcycle

Longest time you’ve spent on character creation
Reality vs Adventure replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
I’ve spent a few hours in one sitting customizing my character for Saints Row 2 and 3. Also a couple hours for Skyrim. I think those games I’ve spent the longest. It’s definitely worth it to me having that enjoyable character. I take it pretty serious. It makes the gameplay that much better. Especially Saints Row where you can make them as wacky as you like. The options are amazing. I’ve even started a game several times and had to change some things on my character. Even something so simple as the voice or the hair wasn’t right, I will change it. And little did I know there is plastic surgery in the game that allows you to change the character whenever you want with a price. -

Japan must think that once you get a taste of blood and missing limbs you will become a rabid Werewolf. As if people getting slaughtered on a boat before even setting foot on land isn’t gory? That’s horrible. Having a head blown off is portraying the fear, panic, and shock. Bullets and bombs do damage to the human body. If you have to censor missing limbs, then censor people getting shot. I don’t understand the option of even taking blood effects off of games either. As if hacking away at people with an axe is ok if the blood isn’t shown. What world is this? The politics of gore. It's not like this is even a controversial issue. At least it shouldn't be an issue for adults. Do they censor gore or nudity in movies? Does Japan have porn? Does their porn have a rating which prevents young people from watching? Then slap a rating on games and let there be gore for adults. How can you play a horror game in Japan when the effect of strewn body parts are taken away? Or do they keep body parts in there, but censor the torso with missing parts? Just hypocrisy. Do they allow animals with missing limbs getting blown off? If so, that is outright demonizing and disrespecting animals. And how would a deer's leg blown off any different from a human's? Does it make you want to go out a tear a deer's leg off? Imagine if the USA no longer has separation of church and state due to our politics. We will see all kinds of ridiculous censorship for adults in gaming. For christ's sake, these people think cartoons are turning kids trans. Those insane mother fuckers.

Fear had a lot to do with the shortage because companies were expecting less consumerism due to the pandemic, then the supply couldn't reach the demand. But, this goes way beyond the pandemic now due to the resources in Ukraine and Russia who are major players in the chip making process now at war. That leaves a cold chip war with the U.S. and China. The U.S. in August 2022 just passed the Chips And Science Act to invest in the manufacturing of semi conductors on American soil.

Disappointed in Last of US Part 1 Remake
Reality vs Adventure replied to GeppyX's topic in Playstation
I just got done playing the ps4 remastered as a second play through about a month ago so it's still fresh in my mind, and it looked so amazing from the ps3 version. Unless the remake has a different story, watching the above video looks more like a remaster of the remaster version. I guess every generation will have a remaster TLOU. I don't mind at all, but if you are this proud of the series (with all the right to be) then think about TLOU Part 3. -
This is now one of my favorite songs. Favorite game and song with memories of experience playing AC3. You people think the world is gravy but the only gravy is my tomahawk after kicking your feet and slamming my hatchet into your head. On your knees, like the fake man you are. Scalp.Come with your guns. We are still alive. Fight yourselves. Civil war. English war. Scalp you both. Still alive. So are you and look at you. Fight yourselves again. Who is the next patriot? My tomahawk.

The most competitive I ever been at a video game is who sells it cheapest. I don't play online. If I had internet access to play online anytime I want then I will get competitive. I'm a gaming soldier without a cause. Drifting. Nomad. Home. I think not worrying about competition makes my gaming experience as 'ignorance is bliss' because I can't fathom the joy you feel and I don't need it because I'm on a high level of solo gaming beyond competition.
