North America has its first video game union at Vodeo Games
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Actually that's true; when a big corporation that's anti union like Amazon gets into the fray of the gaming world, they will use their resources to promote anti unionism. They have already shown that with a recent fake vote they had deciding whether or not to be unionized. During that vote they used intimidation of employees and bribed them with pay increases. So in every way, Amazon is a poison to the gaming industry. -
Are video games becoming too cinematic?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I like the cinematic cut scenes. They don't necessarily have to be long, but it's always cool when you open a door and a scene kicks in, instead of strolling on in and a character waits for your interaction. -
Is it worth it to play any GTA game before GTA5?
Reality vs Adventure posted a topic in Gaming Forum
In this type of technology, is any GTA series before GTA5 just a spec of dust? -

What makes a video game location feel “real”?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It's the extra details in things and AI that doesn't fall away as you leave or enter an area. It could be a simple crack in the street with grass coming out of it. The synchronization of sounds and villagers going about their business instead of standing there waiting for god who knows what. It is the weather system, bugs/animals. Props that make it seem like someone was just there. Props can be as simple as litter laying around. With the right music, it can speak to you and give an emotional attachment to whatever vibe it wants to display. -
No way, it's gonna get bigger and bigger. They will have an entire gaming chair with a head bubble or possibly even have your bed as a dome.

I like it when students are given opportunities like this. If it were up to me, all senior level classes will be programs and college courses and just do away with whatever bull honkey curriculums they currently teach. They should be primed in their senior level to immediately be able to pursue their ambitions as soon as they graduate whether it be jobs, interns, programs in college etc. Nobody should get a diploma and ask- now what do I do...But if they want to include community issues, then let's hope this sort of thing stays in places that promote moral progress.

Do you think most games will go free to play in the future?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I think we're screwed. It's all gonna be the way cable tv is now--subscription based with games only available from their providers. You want the new game that's out? Well damn, now you need a new subscription for the other game provider. What? You want to break contract? Now you gonna have to pay $200 or it will go on your credit report due to a collection agency. -
Do you ever keep a journal about the games you play?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
That sounds like a cool thing to do. It would be great to look back on what you wrote and recall how you felt that first time playing it. When i've had a good gaming session I think about it afterwards and I actually think it's a great idea to write it down. -
This kind of mix up could be dangerous to an accused suspect from social media as well to their families because we know there are a lot of people that would take matters into their own hands and falsely make citizen’s arrest as we saw with the Ahmaud Arbery case. Then again social media helped identify many of the Jan 6 capital attackers and track them down. So we need these tools to help law enforcement, but at the same time these situations of terrorist attacks will bring anger in people and they will do vigilante justice even to the wrongly accused. And it gets especially problematic when accusing an ethnic minority that is already victimized as it is. But at least they helped find his body. It takes a terrorist attack to get any attention to missing persons of color, and many missing Native Americans go without any conclusion or media attention but the media was all over it when Gabby Petito went missing which is called the ‘missing white woman syndrome.’ I’m just making a point and not meaning to get into any political discussion. But it’s a point nonetheless that needs mentioning.

How long can you handle wearing a VR headset for?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Virtual Reality
I actually think the worse thing is legs hurting after standing for a while. That's why they need more investment how to sit and play every game. Because there are ways to move around with the controller, and turn around without moving your head. Of course, if people want the full experience then they should stand, but have the option. Depending on the game played, I'm sure there are other issues one may have. -
The entirety of the game in update 5.10 is being restructured and reinstalled in order to consolidate file sizes to decrease the game size. At 125gb so far on my ps4, that may seem like a good idea, but this could easily be a disaster if the update wasn't done right. I'm kind of scared it could cause corruption or loss of data. And with all included DLC, I can see the game taking up 200+ gb. It takes 8 minutes for the game to load when I start it, and this update is supposed to make it faster. So I can see the good intention, but should I wait? Is this a new thing to be done or is it common?

There is another update today I see downloading for 63gb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AC VALHALLA UPDATE – 5.10 PATCHES | AC VALHALLA TILTE UPDATE – 1.4.1 PATCHES: PATCHSIZES: Xbox X|S: 69 GB – Windows! Xbox One: 60 GB. PlayStation4: 39 GB. PlayStation 4: 65 GB. PC: 77 GB – stout. Important: This update was a data-restructuration of Assassins Creed Valhalla, requiring the full reinstall of the games, rendering overall larger files, faster loading screen times, faster performance, and higher global data streaming. For more details, read the forum post. I'm scared of this update so I paused it. I already lost 150 hours of play once with Valhalla and this update to me is a scary one.

Should Amazon try to buy up some studios?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Amazon should just sponsor smaller studios to aid them financially so they have the chance to produce what they want without monetary restrictions, then cut Amazon a piece of the profits and let those studios stay independent. But that is impossible. And uniqueness becomes irrelevant, which is the backbone for smaller studios, and instead caters to the system of 'plain Jane' when dealing with a big entity like Amazon. -
Are there classic games you think would be cool in VR?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
All of them should be remade into VR. A team should be put together that specializes in VR and remake every one of the top classics. I can't seem to pick one over the other. If they can put a group of astronauts together or navy seals, then by all means VR all them classics. -
