  1. In reality, compared to general inflation and compared to the cost of making a modern commercial game, video games are the cheapest they’ve ever been. That said, you can still buy a “turkey” or a “bad game” for full price and feel like you got swindled. But games are much more complicated to make and are generally designed to be time-sinks these days. I think overall gaming offers tremendous bang for your buck entertainment-wise.
  2. I really like VATS and think it’s a nice blend of real-time/turn-based mechanics. Definitely took me a bit to get used to it, but I really enjoy it now and find it to be a unique aspect of the combat in the Fallout universe.
  3. In a recent interview, Jim Cameron has stated that he’s “working on” coming back to the Alien franchise. Obviously, this is by no means confirmation but how does everyone feel about the possibility of this news? Personally, I’d like to see Ridley Scott finish his prequel trilogy *and* see Neill Blomkamp/James Cameron’s Alien 5. Not sure that’ll happen of course, but one can dream, right?
  4. Cheapest I could find it. https://www.shopto.net/video-games/nintendodigital/NDO10000953-nintendo-switch-online-12-month-365-day-membership
  5. Haha, I’m from Wales so I’m technically Welsh, but I appreciate your kind words!
  6. Awesome horror game for a cheap price. https://www.go2games.com/the-evil-within-ii-xbox-one?utm_source=RakutenMarketing&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=3001042:digidip&utm_content=10&utm_term=UKNetwork&ranMID=42957&ranEAID=hL3Qp0zRBOc&ranSiteID=hL3Qp0zRBOc-RHdFPcqNpjjTIR2.GubeMQ
  7. Alien Blackout
  8. Have you had a chance to play it in VR yet? That seriously takes it to the next level. Brown pants are a MUST. Lol
  9. Argh, I forgot about Worms! Many a drunken night spent playing that in my Uni dorm lol
  10. Chicken chargrillin’ with a gin and tonic and some gameage.
  11. Over the years I’ve owned a Gameboy, SNES, DS Lite, 3DS, a Wii and a Switch. I also own a SNES mini and have my eye on a NES mini.
  12. Approximately 7.3 million times. An hour.
  13. I mostly use VGR, IGN, We Got This Covered, Twinfinite, Eurogamer, Kotaku, Youtube, FB, N4G and Twitter to get my gaming news these days. Used to love Destructoid back in the day, too.
  14. Great minds and all that 😉
  15. I don't mind the occasional can of Red Bull but I tend to prefer a good cuppa joe tbh. Or a cup of tea.
  16. All DLC content is included in the price. https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/2299-buy-key-steam-resident-evil-7-gold-edition/
  17. That's fair. Not gonna try and defend Bethesda too much as I agree the game is super rough and needed more time in the oven.
  18. Fair enough, just posting it for peeps who maybe interested. Even with all its issues, I'm still enjoying it a lot on PS4. Yeah, maybe I'm broken, too. lol
  19. I've gone for headphones as they're usually a wee bit more comfortable and also generally have better sound quality.
  20. Cheapest I've seen it on PC so far. https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/resident-evil-2-biohazard-re2-pc-cd-key?mw_aref=74dth566
  21. Bargain imho! https://www.electronicfirst.com/ef-weekly-sale/?ref=221176
  22. This is a comprehensive review roundup: https://www.avpgalaxy.net/2019/01/28/alien-blackout-reviews-round-up/ To be fair, a 72 on Metacritic is decent overall. I picked it up and I’m really liking it - not amazing - but decent for 5 bones. The voice actor is the same actress who plays Amanda Ripley in Isolation and it ties in nicely with that game narratively. The atmosphere/audio is authentic but the AI of the survivors is a bit basic/rudimentary. 7/10 from me, personally, from what I’ve played. Each their own, of course.
  23. Aye, it’s a really great game to discuss. It’s a testament to the incredibly deep story that we can have so many different takes/interpretations on it.
  24. I think I posted this already in Video Game Deals but it’s all good, man. Great deal!
