After been off video games for a couple of days, I finally got some time to play this weekend and it's even an holiday weekend over here.
I have got a hand full of games I would be playing for the next two days and I am looking forward to having a wonderful time here ,just me and my  consoles all weekend.

Lol, I don't really give a damn about who dies or who is spared.
I'm all about the fun, it's a video game so I am not really expecting to feel any sense of emotion when I shoot down a civilian or some other characters in the game, unless it is specifically instructed in the game that I shouldn't kill that particular target and if I do I will have to start the level all over again just like what happens in GTA.

Clasher got a reaction from Reality vs Adventure in Is there a way to maintain a sense of urgency in open world games?
Personally, i feel every genre of video games were designed to suit a particular purpose and give a different kind of feeling.
You don't expect to play a fast car racer game or adventure game and get the same kind of feeling you would get when playing a soul game or even a survival horror game.
That's just how it all works, open world games are the way it is you just have to enjoy it that way.

I'm most looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy.  It was suppose to come out last year but it got delayed thanks to the situation with Covid.
I'm not going to lie.....I'm a big Harry Potter fan here.  I would love to play an open world game where you get to explore Hogwarts and see what adventures you can get into.

Clasher reacted to Shagger in What game do you struggle with that everyone claims is easy?
Why on earth would you bring Sudoku (I'm assuming that's a misspelling on your part) into this? It's a logic based number puzzle, no more and no less. Yes, you can obviously play it on an electronic device these days, but the same is also true of Solitaire and one would hardly call that a video game. Candy Crush is also puzzle game, so like Sudoku the difficulty is a reflection of the person playing it, so I'm not sure how relevant that is to the subject at hand either, but I'll give @Heatman a little credit in that game at least that only exists as a video game. So it's the same vain as something like Tetris, so whilst I'm still unsure of how a puzzle game fit's into a conversation like this, Candy Does still count as a video game. Sudoku, I'd have to say, does not. Think about it this way, if I were to struggle with a Crossword app on my phone (and I would because I suck monkeys at crosswords), would that count here?

Your post clasher along with @Justin11 tailing onto your comment tells me both of you were scraping for an excuse to post on this thread, when closer to the truth is that neither of you really had anything to say. When are you guys to learn that when have nothing to say it is OK to say nothing? @Justin11, you didn't even bring up a game of you own to add to conversation! Come one, guys...

    Anyway, with that out of the way;

DKC is actually considered pretty infamous for it's difficulty in most circles. I personally didn't think is was as brutal as some people claim, but it was not an easy game by anybody's standard.

For me to pick a game, I'd probably go for ReCore. Most reviews I read called it a breeze, some even sighting the lack of difficulty as problem, but the game had balls for me. It had an old school, Metroid feel and kept me on my toes big time.

Clasher reacted to Withywarlock in What year would you consider as the worst in video game's history?
Not to shut this down, but I struggle to see see where this discussion can go (please do explain if I'm missing something here.) How does one go about measuring how worse a year can be than 1983, the collapse of an entire budding industry? 2014 would be my pick but it'd be a laughable choice because only liking one game out of over 20 that I bought on release day for review (half of which weren't worth it) is nowhere near comparable.
While I'm sure people will have years with reasons deeply personal to them, I'd hardly say those moments qualify to be considered the worst in video games' history. There's discussion to be had about that, and indeed 1983 for those who want to have it, but I think you know the answer already.

Clasher reacted to Crazycrab in Ubisoft's Skull and Bones Development Has Been An Anthem Level Nightmare According To Former Devs
I'll give you the basic run down.  After the success of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag in 2012 , Ubisoft made a decision that seemed to be a great idea at the time which was to flesh this aspect out into it's own full release.  Naturally to execute this the contracted the studio responsible for the naval combat sections in both Assassin's Creed III and IV, Ubisoft Singapore.

Although the studio had been around for a few years developing remakes and parts of other original AAA Ubisoft titles, they had no experience of being the lead developer on new game.  Despite this there be was initially a lot excitement for this project.

You can check out the videos and associated articles for more details but long story short the project was mismanaged.  It's gone through different directors, different concepts, multiplayer, single player, RPG, Live service and so on.  It has been delayed, ripped up and rebuilt multiple times and in my opinion on the only reason it wasn't cancelled outright was because to much time and money had already been invested in it.

This could have been something special.  Technically it could still be and we'll have to wait for the final release to pass judgement but we have seen in the past when development is a misery, the end result isn't good either.

Clasher reacted to Shagger in The first NFT game console has been announced
Sorry @Clasher, but are you deluded? Or are are you trying to sell snake oil or something, because there's something is not right.

First off, people are not beginning to invest in NFT's. The whole metaverse, NFT and blockchain sector of investment is collapsing and burring to the ground. Even if this is a legitimate project, and I can promise you it's not, there couldn't be a worse time for it. By the time this gets off the ground, the world of NFT's and crypo will, at best, not be able to support this. Hell, that conman's investment market was never at any point stable enough to make something like this work, even at it's best. NFT's are a flash in the pan and they are going away.

Second, the idea is announced. That's what an announcement is, you announce it exists. Why are you trying to twist the words and twist the facts to talk this up? @Kane99 is 100% correct, Polium claiming this this "console" will be ready as soon as 2024 is a serious red flag. Four people cannot developed a console that fast, it just can't be done. Even companies like Microsoft and Sony can't do that with tens-of-thousands of employees in R&D alone. With all due respect, one would have to be stupid to believe this. You're right about one thing though, 2024 does look too good be true and for a very good reason, it isn't true.

Now you're just steeling lines straight out of the meeting the conmen at Polium has when they came up with this scam.

"The Metaverse and the value of NFT's is collapsing with prices of NFT's only a fraction of they were only a year ago, so we have to convince these suckers that this console will still be out quick enough to take advantage of this before it collapses completely. However, we can't say the console will come out too fast as nobody except the most stupid of gamers will believe it's possible to do this is such a short time frame. So how does 2-3 years sound? We're obviously not going to actually make the console, we just need to give it some sense of authenticity"

I'll tell you, if I was at that meeting, I still would have said "Nobody will buy that, 3 years is still not enough.", but it looks I was wrong. At least one person in @Clasher actually believes them, so good for them.

Seriously though @Clasher, your admitted interest in crypto and NFT's is not something I would not call good for you, but I wouldn't actually worry about you if you didn't sound so exited about and be ready to twist the facts about and talk something up like this, something that is obviously not going to work. If you can just forget the Polium One's connection with NFT's and crypto and look at it as a device in development and technical exercise, you would see this same way I do. A joke at best and a scam at worst. To me the association with NFT's and crypto only makes this look like more like scam, and that's exactly why I took that out the equation and just looked at it as a project to develop a new console for the market and still came to the same conclusion.

This is a scam doomed to go the way of the Intellivision Amico and Coleco Chameleon, a con console that never happen. Just like with those consoles, the promises in terms of spec's, the claims on the staffing, how it will be funded, the route map, the way the console looks, the logo, the absolute lack of information on how and what games we can expect, no confirmation of hardware, none of it makes sense together. Long before we bring crypto and NFT's into it, this is shady as hell.

I don't get you. I cannot understand why you would look at this and do anything but cringe. This will fail, that's guaranteed.

Well, you ain't far from the truth, there is the popular saying that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" so how do they judge when each individual is meant to perceive beauty in all it's forms differently as designed by nature.
Popularity , sympathy votes and favoritism are the key playing factors when determining the winners of beauty pageants.

Clasher got a reaction from Crazycrab in Why does Africa have no AAA game studio?
Well , this documentary only highlighted a few parts of Africa and this doesn't justify anything as there are still places even in the United States that are considered as slums with people living on the streets and various other social amenities are lacking, though I know Africa as a continent isn't as developed as some other continents but if big industries and companies like AAA aren't coming to Africa how would this development spread. We have a lot of promising businesses, well known companies that are taking over the world which emanated from Africa. Things are bad here but don't only rely on what one YouTuber looking for views tells you.

This guy was like undertaker of WWE in FIFA and nobody could match up to him without recieving it hot with many goals, I broke that Winning streak and ended his years of oppression. Lol

It looks good and i like the fact that they incorporated real world environment into the game and the cars are superb but driving such a fancy car on some of those dirt roads as seen in the triller might not really be a good idea, but its just a video game anyways and no damages done is real. I would keep an eye on this game too.

Africa is a totally different culture than places like North America. People here are too conceited and have a superiority complex that prevents us from having that kind of culture. If people would just get the hell over themselves, then maybe we can get to something like that. Unfortunately I don't see that happening within my lifetime.
