You're probably right on that one. There's only so much the mind can handle, and too much can make it shut down. Now, that's not to say that we should quit trying to learn. Intentionally doing that means that the individual is truly stupid, no matter what their IQ is or what level of education they have reached, such as a masters or PhD. Personally, I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little. But I know everything about absolutely nothing. And I know nothing about almost everything. I'm fine with that. Why, you ask? Because it leaves me with more options than I can count for things to learn about. And learning on my own terms is how I learn best. I love knowledge, and desire more about several topics. Many of which I will never achieve. But that doesn't mean I will stop trying to learn them.

Being that it was an NES game, it's about 35 years too late.

I couldn't give it anything higher than that. Actually, to be honest, I don't even think I would go that high.

Every day the indications of the coming civil war become more and more obvious. It's time to pick sides. Whether you're the political type or not. Ask yourself, DO YOU CARE ABOUT DEMOCRACY? Your answer to that question will tell the world which side you're on. The sad thing is that it's starting to look like the majority will say NO. At least however, we have the US military on our side since there's a Democrat in the White House. We have that on our side, and the soldiers have no choice but to do what Biden tells them to do. The commandant of the USMC has no choice but to do what Biden says. And trust me, the guy is an entitled asshole.

It's fun, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.

I have to disagree there. The internet will never close down. Things may slow down in the eyes of some people who only use a small portion of it, but the internet is growing and moving faster than ever. It will never slow down or stop growing. It is a permanent fixture in human life, and will be here even after we go extinct, until all power is consumed and the electrical grid shuts down. There is no slowing or stopping the internet.

Oddly enough, with my hatred of tetris, I actually enjoy Dr. Mario a lot. I guess because it's different just enough. I still play it when I hook up my NES. Right now I have my SNES hooked up, but I'm planning to swap it out pretty quick. Either NES or N64. Haven't decided which yet.

Kaepora Gaebora, or Micah Bell. I'll gladly erase either of them from gaming history.

Me. I can't stand the game.

I can't say for any region other than my own (NTSC) but the adapter wasn't released here in the states. We had the same cable for the N64 that we had for the SNES. They were identical. And the SNES also had the option of hooking up with the same cord the NES used. The only difference was power cords. And considering the size of gaming interest and the varying styles of game play in the North American market, we had no issue getting any of the games that were released anywhere else in the world. To be honest, as kids, none of us even understood the region codes or what they were for. We just wanted our damn games to work for once without having to perform brain surgery on them.

What gaming era are you looking for? I can guide you for a lot of old stuff (N64 back) but not much for the current era of gaming, as I haven't seen much of anything that I would consider "kid friendly".

I get it often. Typically it's a lyric or two, and I can't for the life of me figure out what song the lyric is from. But often I'll be doing something and a song will start playing in my head and won't leave no matter what I do. There was a day a couple weeks ago that I had to watch a 5 minute YouTube video more than 20 times, because the god damn song wouldn't shut the fuck up and kept me so distracted that I never could see the god damn video.

I have never once in my life cared about the Olympics except for wanting everyone to get the fuck over it and get back to regular TV. But since I don't really watch any kind of TV anymore, it doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I watch YouTube, DVD's, and some streaming services. That's. It.

I sit down in the front room and turn to the hockey channels. I haven't gone to a game in years, and it's been even longer since I've watched one at a sports bar.

Is their mascot a big picture of Sawney Bean? -
I've tried for years to get in to witness executions. So far no luck as Missouri doesn't execute people very often, and I don't have the means or money to travel to other states to witness any.

In all honesty, I get my news here. VGR keeps me up to date on everything I would care about. The members here are always posting articles that keep us all up to date on what's going on. Aside from that, you can always try YouTube. YougYea is always keeping up with the news, and always referenced here with his videos linked. I'm sure he's not the only one. You can try AVGN, but to my knowledge he's more satire with the gaming side of Cinemassacre. I don't think they really do much in the news area.

I got a newsletter from Nintendo announcing it, and I have to say I was searching for anything that was an actual upgrade or update that would make thins one stand out. As @Shagger the differences are minimal. As such, there's not really anything that would be a "noticeable" upgrade. Less than an inch of difference in screen size, a small jump in memory size, and a kickstand. That's it. I have a 512g card in my Lite at the moment. If it wasn't for that, I would have maybe a tenth of the games on it that I currently have, as a lot of games take a hell of a lot of space. Sadly, I don't see this being any kind of hot item except among the people that are the type who have to have the newest thing all the time, and always follow trends. Safe to say, I was really disappointed with this one.

Can you name these iconic video game villains?
The Blackangel replied to DylanC's topic in Video Games
The majority of them were wild guesses, because I didn't have a damn clue who the hell they were or what game they were from.
