  1. Are you talking about a game revealing a negative aspect of your personality?
  2. Empathy? And for an enemy? Are you serious?
  3. So many NES and SNES games are like this I couldn't really pick one. A lot of them have 7-8 levels, and that's about it. Many others are straight forward and done, like RC-ProAm. Most of the games from that era were short and quick. The longer ones were always hated because they were considered "too hard", like Zelda II for example. So for a short ass game, it's basically just take your pick and it's pretty much a guarantee that you won't be wrong.
  4. That's actually really close to something that people eat here. We call it pikprik. It's pickled dick from either a hog or steer when we butcher them. I've never tried it, but it's really popular, and from what I understand it tastes just like any other part of the animal. Cracklins however, are delicious.
  5. I haven't played Skyrim enough to take the test, but I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone scored on it.
  6. The only time I can honestly remember ever using him is against Edea at the end of disc 1. Almost all of her magic is reflected except the astral punch. So I just equip him to Irvine prior to the fight, and constantly summon him to refresh everyones reflect. That keeps Edea pretty busy casting dispel trying to get rid of it. Any other time, reflect is nothing but a burden. Also it doesn't junction for shit. It may increase something, but the even ara range spells will give whatever you're junctioning to a higher number.
  7. Celts wore at most leather armor, because they were still able to move well and had some protection. I know my clan always wore leather armor on their chest, arms and legs. When we would attack another clan, we always armored up with hard leather armor. When we were the ones being attacked, often times we didn't have time to get armor on. But it didn't stop us from fighting. And I'm sitting here typing this, so that is proof that some of us survived.

  9. I did ok. I got 16/20. One that I missed was how many Oscars it won. I had no clue, so I just took a shot. Another was that I simply couldn't remember who it was that had permanent hearing loss from the elevator scene. Since Edward Furlong was just a kid I guessed him, but was wrong on that one too. But all in all, I didn't do bad.
  10. I know what hentai is, but there was never any nudity in it or graphic sex. At least none that I remember.
  11. Cop Tazer ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cop Gun +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Explain to me logically how you mix these up.
  12. I read that story. Bullshit. She didn't think she was using a tazer. There is no way in hell a person could mix the two up. A retarded monkey couldn't make that mistake. First of all they look nothing alike. They weigh a hell of a lot less than a gun. The safety is in a totally different spot. Tazers are usually made from a plastic shell. Unless the cops are carrying water guns, they're not going to mix that up. And lastly, cops don't carry a god damn tazer in the same spot as their gun. It's not in the holster that their sidearm is kept in. It is not humanly possible to mix the two up. I have a fire lighter that uses a plasma beam that is a cylinder. If they're going to try to come up with this kind of bullshit to get out of a murder charge, then they need to lose their badge instantly.
  13. If we're talking about moving to where our heritage comes from, my first choice would be Scotland. If that's not possible I would go next door to Ireland. And I would happily give up my US citizenship in exchange if I could. Germany would be my third choice as it's the last part of my European heritage. Not exactly an uncommon mix here in the states, I know. But my heritage means everything to me. I'm still trying to find a teacher to learn Scottish Gaelic, but all I can find is a school in St. Louis that costs thousands per every 6 weeks. Unless I hit the lottery this week, I'm screwed there. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to pay, I just can't afford the fortune that school is wanting.
  14. Derek Chauvin was found guilty today on all 3 charges he was facing for the murder of George Floyd (RIP) last year. He was facing both second and third degree murder as well as voluntary manslaughter. If I remember correctly, at the time of final statements he was facing a max of 75 years for the combined charges. He’ll probably only serve 10-15 at most though, (if that) with as jacked up as our penal and judicial systems are. Even fellow officers said he was over the line, and often used excessive force in situations that didn’t call for it. Hopefully he’ll be put in genpop and the inmates can get true justice for George Floyd.
  15. I thought about adding Carbuncle, but I had never really said the phrase “I want...” in relation to him. I always wanted a moomba and Pupu.
  16. Try the fucking Lemoyne Raiders. Especially at Shady Belle. There's a fucking army and only 2 of you to take them all on. And with one on the balcony with a god damn gatlin gun, the fun's just getting started. And it only takes place during daylight.
  17. Considering that I don't typically buy a lot of games anymore, it's not much of a problem. The only place I get games is on my Switch, and I have almost 100 DDL's on there as it is, plus I don't know how many in my wishlist. For that though, I typically wait until they go on sale, then see what I can spare the money for.
  18. It's more than worth the cost. I've been gaming for closing in on 40 years now, and I think it's the only thing that has really been a constant through my entire life. I play the same systems and games I played when I was a child, as well as the new stuff. There is something for literally everyone to enjoy in the video game world. Everyone can find something. Depending on your personal tastes, it can be expensive as hell, or pocket change. I can get on CL right now and buy 8 PS3 games for a grand total of $12. I'm not buying them because they're all sports games. Or I can get on there and buy a scalped PS5 for $500. But I'm going to wait a couple more years before I start thinking about a PS5. I've explained why in other posts. So I personally believe the benefits far outweigh the costs.
  19. I turn all of the sound completely off for the vast majority of the games I play. The only one I can think of that I keep the sound on for is RDR2.
  20. It varies from game to game. Some games it's needed, others it's not. Some games it would ruin to have the time of day change. Mainly older games. But games are going more open world and going for more realism today, so something being in eternal day or night would ruin the whole game.
  21. I'm not a religious zealot or a 17 year old boy. So that's a no.
  22. Triple Triad in FF8. I love building up an obscenely powerful deck and just decimating my opponents.
  23. My PS3 games are all discs. So the shutdown didn't really bother me. I have a lot of games for PS3, many of which I have never even played. But right now my PS3 is in the closet, waiting for the next time I decide I want to use it. Typically, I only played PS1 games on it anyway. I think I downloaded ONE game. I bought the system new, not long after it came out. And in all that time, I think I downloaded ONE game. I would have to find the right PS3 (I have several) and hook it up to know. That's a pain in the ass that I don't feel like dealing with right now.
  24. The only anime fight I ever saw involved a 10 year old girl and an octopus. At least I think she was supposed to be fighting it, even though it looked more like she was fucking it.
