  1. Aside from people here, I only know one other gamer, so I don't have much interaction. But my girl often says she sucks at a game, when I'm sitting here watching her and thinking "How the hell did you do that?"
  2. I would say they should support it until at least 2 years into their next console's life. If that's confusing, I mean Playstation should continue to support PS4 until a minimum of 2 years into PS5's life. Preferably longer. I'm saying this because with every console release there are bugs that the company didn't catch. And on release the only ones that seem to be able to even get the damn things are fucking scalpers. So most gamers will still be playing the previous generation because they simply can't afford a 300% markup from a cocksucker who's greedy as fuck. I'm not dropping $1500 on a $500 console.
  3. RDR2. I have other things that I have to do, so I'm unable to get on right now, and probably won't be able to play at all today.
  4. Having to think too much. Everything starts getting more difficult. Even now I'm having a bitch of a time trying to write this post, as the words simply won't come to me.
  5. Probably the first time I ever beat a game. Which would have been about 35 years ago. If I was asked to recall the game, I couldn't. If you're asking about today, it would most likely be when I figured out exactly what you have to do to tame a wild horse. I now know how to tame any wild horse in the game. As a result, I own 3 Arabian horses. As soon as I reach full bonding with my current one, I'm going for the white Arabian. There's one I can't get until much later in the game, because it's in Blackwater. Arthur crosses the river into Blackwater and he's a dead man. So that one is out of bounds. But I'll have 4 out of 5. I'll stable 3 of them, and ride the 4th one. Some say it's hard to even approach a wild horse, and even harder to break them. Not once you figure it out. And there's tons of wild horses through out the game. You can catch them, break them, and sell them. Granted it's not a huge money maker, but it will usually put $2-$5 in your pocket if you sell them at a stable. It gets you a little more if you sell them at the horse fence, once it's open. But it's still not going to make you rich.
  6. I'm a dead eye with a rifle and a bow, so I'm good there. What I wish I could do is track. If there's not a decent blood trail, I can't track shit. In RDR2 I ride with Charles a lot, and he can just look at the ground and knows where something went. If there's prints in the mud/dirt then I can follow that. But this dick is tracking in high grass. There's no wagon tracks. There's no hoof prints. At least none that I can see. The grass is blowing in the wind, but he can track through it all. He makes a hawk look blind, and those things can see a mouse fart from a mile away.
  7. I can go to Walmart right now and get this for like $40. They have it in stock at all 3 Walmart's here in town.
  8. I didn't know I was stupid. But I guess since I'm stupid I wouldn't know, would I?
  9. I tend to buy my clothes at Walmart and Torrid. There I look for what's comfortable and what's cute. I'm plus size, so I often can't find clothes at Walmart other than t-shirts and occasionally shorts. Most everything else, I have to spend the extra money and go to Torrid. It's the only straight up plus size store in the area. There are several department stores like Dillards and JC Penny, but their plus size sections are microscopic and way over priced. For me comfort beats everything. Brand means absolutely nothing to me. Hell, I've gotten just about every purse I own at Walmart. They have no real name brand. At least not that I've ever noticed.
  10. I just saw my fuckup, and since it's too late to edit, I'm posting a correction. It is supposed to say "That title in my opinion has NOW gone to Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson."
  11. More than I can count. Many that I refuse to mention.
  12. Due to how photosensitive I am, I have to keep the lights off. The only lights I can really use, and not have a shitload of issues with are black lights. Inside my house I wear sunglasses, and have the brightness on all my devices set to the lowest it can go. I have light blocking curtains on all the windows to try to keep my house in eternal night. It helps, but isn't a permanent solution.
  13. Just a curiousity question. Is there any kind of significant meaning behind the different spellings for the sport? Futbol and Football? Is it a region thing?
  14. Because that's how life works. Things happen without any prior notice. You write with emotion, not intention. The only thing anyone can plan for is death. We will all end up there. It's just a question of how. And when.
  15. Metroid - I never knew what I was supposed to be doing, or where I was supposed to be going, but still enjoyed the hell out of it. Conker's Bad Fur Day - There's a thousand areas to explore that lead to another thousand areas, with no defined path of any kind to follow. If you stumble on a "boss" of any kind, then so be it. But still one of the most fun games ever made.
  16. Personally I think emulators shouldn't exist, and that console games should stay on consoles.
  17. I know my gaming laptop was $4,000. But so far, it's been worth every penny. I still game on the old stuff primarily, but this is the best laptop for gaming that I have ever seen. I made sure to get the extended warranty with it. It cost a couple hundred extra on top of the $4k I paid for the computer itself, but was a no-brainer.
  18. GTA is a series available on multiple platforms, and GTA V is a sequel. Not what this thread is looking for.
  19. I used to meditate quite often. I was even asked to lead a small group, as I knew how to achieve astral travel. But it never actually helped me in resting.
  20. Post your favorite unique game videos. By "unique" I mean games that appeared once, on one system, and never had a sequel. That one game was it. Games that led eventually to other ideas are fine, but they must not have their own direct sequel and must only appear once on a single system.
  21. RDR2
  22. Being a child of the early 80's, Atari was king until the NES hit the western market. I was hooked by Nintendo immediately. Their exclusives like SMB and Zelda were instant favorites of mine. They also had a much wider range of games and much more unique games that weren't available on other platforms like Sega. So I was a Nintendo girl from the beginning. And up until the Game Cube, I was loyal as hell. I hated both the Game Cube and the Wii. So around that area is when I started branching out to other systems like Playstation. I've always hated Xbox, but there is an Xbox exclusive that I felt like I needed (turns out I DID need it) so I have an Xbox One for that one single game alone. I have recently become somewhat addicted to RDR2. I have it for Xbox and Playstation. My personal bias towards Xbox aside, I honestly feel that the game plays much better on Playstation. A lot of it is due to the controller design. The rest is things like the game running smoother and the graphics being more crisp and clean. In essence, the graphics are more realistic on Playstation over Xbox. But as for my early years, I was a loyal Nintendo player. Prior to my first NES I had a Colecovision, but didn't appreciate it at the time. What a fool I was.
  23. Does the TV being on count as light? I always play a DVD when I go to bed. Futurama, Family Guy, or American Dad. I can't go to sleep otherwise. The TV distracts my brain and keeps it from running wild, which would keep me awake. I also have never had a problem going to sleep with the light on, as long as I had something to shield my eyes.
  24. @Empire You're not going to get too much for $400. Decent looks at the moon, and maybe a bit of a clearer look at Mars due to how close it is to Earth. @killamch89 I would recommend a Celestron NexStar. Mine is a 5se which means it has a 5" lens. @ZandraJoi has an 8se which means she has an 8" lens. Hers is more powerful than mine obviously, but I still have a great look at the solar system, and several things beyond, such as nebulae and a few other galaxies. Andromeda is really amazing to see. It's also easy to spot since it's the closest galaxy to the Milky Way. There are others that, if you time it right, you can get a shot of them in one. Here's a pic of Andromeda that was taken through by a simple astronomy lover, like myself and @ZandraJoi through their telescope.
  25. When I had my macaw he would randomly call people “asshole”. It eventually became a badge of honor to have him spontaneously call you one. I recommend against getting a parakeet. They’re panicky, high strung, clumsy, and tend to hurt themselves easily. If you want a bird get something a little bigger like a conure or cockatiel. I have a conure, and my girl has a cockatiel. They’re calm as hell and much easier to handle. The only exception is my conure hates everyone except me. If anyone tries to handle her she will flat out attack them. I’m the only one she will let handle her.
