I don’t know a lot about Michigan. The only thing that I do know for a fact is that I’m a long time die hard Detroit Red Wings fan. Correction: hardcore DRW NUT! I love the Wings and always will. That pisses a lot of people off here in MO. Apparently it’s an unwritten rule here that, if you’re a sports fan, you’re required to be a fan of a team that’s in Missouri. Cardinals, Royals, Chiefs, blues (fuck the worthless blues), and when they were here, the Rams were also tolerable, but Chiefs were the proper choice. The only people allowed to be Royals fans are people from KC. Otherwise you’re required to be a Cardinals fan, if your game is baseball. Or as I call it: Ambien. This state has a lot of bullshit rules when it comes to sports.

Solo gaming is what I go for. I just completely don't enjoy online gaming. I've tried it several times, with several games, and hated the experience every time. I don't even have any interest in even fighting someone else in games like Mortal Kombat or playing 2 player in SMB games. I'm not slamming PVP gaming, or those that enjoy gaming that way. It's just not for me.

I've played FFX, I just haven't gotten too far into it. I will admit that it's a sweet game, I'm just sidetracked by other games currently. When I burn out on them, I'll start up on my switch, and leave my PS3 alone so I don't have to worry about being in one room to play it.

Horror and Psychological Thriller List/Collection
The Blackangel replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Video Games
I was aware of those movies, but had no idea that any of them had been made into a game. -
Ff9 was a bit too cartoony for me. I mean Amarant Coral just looks like a giant chicken. Seriously? WTF? I have FFX/X2 but haven’t really gotten into them yet. One of the most attractive things about them is that X2 was the first true sequel in the series. I like that a lot.

I have an unpopular opinion here. Obviously I agree with @Crazycrab the FF13 is the worst they came out with. But in my eyes. it is easily rivaled by FF7. I hated it so much it almost put me off on the entire series. I'm glad FF8 went the direction it did, because it almost instantly rekindled my love for Final Fantasy in general. I still hate FF7 and FF13, and I'm not a fan of online gaming as a whole, so I don't play FF14. I have nothing against FF14. I've seen it played and it's a beautiful game. I just don't play it because I don't enjoy online games.

It's about 5½ feet.

I hovered my mouse pointer over it and it just says you joined recently. So it seems to be a tag for new members. How long it will be there, however, only @Shagger or @DC can tell you that.

Too damn confusing with his tech talk.

My eyes are already fixed on someone, so no one here has to worry about that.

Nobody’s putting tape on my eyes. It takes a hell of a lot of time and work to make them look good. I’m not about to let some asshole fuck them up with tape. @Reality vs Adventure a woman blinking is not fluttering her eyes. I hate that stereotypical bullshit. We blink. Men blink. Get over it. Also, the vast majority of women do not wear fake eyelashes.

This. Also the introduction of the junction system was a huge step up. The twists and turns in the story were some of the best I’ve seen in a game. And the graphics of the cutscenes were and are some of the best graphics any game has ever featured. Considering the game was released on PS1 that’s really saying something.

I doubt there will be a shortage. And even if there is, you can easily order one directly from Nintendo online. Also you can check Craigslist. There are often legitimate people selling theirs on there. That’s where I got my Switch Lite. The guy selling it wanted more than $100 less than the shelf price, and I haven’t regretted anything. It has no issues whatsoever and I love it. If you’re not interested in the docking ability, then you should absolutely get the Lite. A bonus it has over the original Switch is that it can read bigger micro SSD cards. I have a 512g card in mine. If I could afford it I would put a 1tb card in it. The original version isn’t capable of reading a card that big, unless Nintendo has done some recent upgrades to it, that I personally am unaware of.

I’m wondering if my eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara would affect the game?

Why do games let you switch off choices sometimes?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
To customize the game to how you're more used to playing. Some games have a control system that can match the same style of another, but are by default different. You can then change the new one around to match what you're used to. Your fingers could be subconsciously trained to work in a certain manner which would then make it next to impossible for you to play a new game. And some features may make a game unplayable for the gamer. But you turn that one feature off, and the gamer is now all aboard for the game. I have several cheats for RDR2, but the drawback is that if you turn one on, then you won't be able to save in story mode with it on. And turning it off, would undo any progress you had made during the time it was on. -
What game’s ethical system most matches your own?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
RDR2. Protect those that matter with your life, and kill those that threaten the ones that matter. -
Ascendance on Switch is a great game for anxiety. It's just soothing and the background music is mind relaxing beyond most anything. I also think RDR2 is a good one. You don't have to do anything storyline relatied. You can just jump on your horse and go for a ride. You can stop by any lake or river and go fishing. You can go around picking random plants. You can study the wildlife. You can go to town and take in a show. You can help out strangers in stranger missions. Or you can hang around camp and interact with everyone there. There's really no limit except for your imagination in RDR2.

What makes grinding relaxing rather than tedious?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
A bit of fairness. For example in RDR2, you need to collect a lot of different hides for the ultimate satchel. They all have to be perfect. One of those is a squirrel. One of the best places i the game to get a squirrel to spawn is near a wooden bridge. But you're not able to shoot past the bridge. Your bullet only hits invisible wood, no matter how good of a shot you have. You will not hit anything on the other side of the bridge, and you have to be across the bridge to get the squirrels to spawn. But no matter where you in relation to the bridge, your bullet will always hit wood and nothing else if you aim in the direction of the bridge. It pisses me off because the squirrels are thick there, but they won't come up on the same side of the bridge as you. Herbivore bait doesn't help, and scent cover lotion doesn't help. -
I would give Layers Of Fear: Legacy my vote. It's so immersive, yet repellent, that it's like a dream state.

What open world game contains the best blend of elements?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I agree with @Patrik on RDR2. It has everything you could want. -
Never heard of it, but there's no way a person can reasonably expect to play a game by blinking. We do it thousands of times a day, mostly without even knowing that we're doing it. "Oh no! I blinked and killed myself! DAMNIT!"
-
I've watched it several times. I have the DVD somewhere around here. It's not bad. Willis did a pretty good job in it. Not his best work, but definitely not his worst either. My vote for his worst would be a tie between The Sixth Sense, and the entire Die Hard series, as all those movies were simply god awful. My vote for his best would be Armageddon. The Last Boy Scout was a damn good movie too.

We all take our home for granted. We look at things around the world, and think about how beautiful it is, and how much we would like to live there, and how boring it is here. But there is always things here that we take for granted because we're used to it. For example, here in the states we have things like the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone park, Death Valley, Bear Tower, and the great lakes (shared with Canada obviously) just to name a few. If you wanted to go more local, you can find even more. For example here in Missouri, we have dozens of public caves. Meramec Caverns is one of the more popular. It was revered by the local tribes as the home of the Gods. There are also the lakes, many of which are man made, some that are natural though. Look around the world. Greece has its isles. Scotland has the Cairngorns. Australia has the outback and Uluru. Congo has jungles. Brazil has the Amazon. India shares the Himalayas with Nepal and China. Antarctica is in it's own category. That is just one thing from a quick selection of countries around the world. There are also things man made that are something to admire as well. The pyramids at Giza, Stonehenge, the great wall, Nazca lines, Moai of Easter Island, the Colosseum, Teotihuacan, Mount Rushmore, and the Taj Mahal just to name some. Then there are our nonhuman companions of this world. The vast majority of which we could never encounter firsthand without the benefit of a zoo. The zoo that has repeatedly been listed as the best zoo in the world is the San Diego zoo. I've been to many zoos in my life, in several countries, including San Diego. Including one that I was able to play with tapirs and a jaguar in. As well as things like dolphin encounters. Not meaning Sea World, although I did go there once before it was thankfully shut down. And I can say without any doubt that the SD zoo is the best of them all. We have the mysteries of the unexplained and paranormal that have yet to be understood or solved. The moving coffins of Barbados. The Flying Dutchman. Annie Palmer in Rose Hall. The ghosts of the Tower of London. La Lloronoa. Nessie. Kraken. Spedlins Tower. Location of the Ark of the Covenant. Alien abduction. The Roswell incident. Ntavelis's Cave. The hungry ghosts of China. Monte Cristo. Duppies of Jamaica. Big grey man of Ben MacDhui. Bigfoot. And so many more. Then there is the last thing that we know next to nothing about. Our oceans. We can map them using sonar, and catalog different species that we have encountered. But that doesn't mean we know the "hows" and the "whys" of the ocean. If it wasn't for sonar we never would have found the wreckage of the Titanic. Nor would we know about the Mariana Trench. We still don't know how animal life is able to survive at such depths, especially the trench, under such tremendous pressure. So don't just take everything around you for granted. There's always something there that is worth more than you realize.
