The people in RDR2 are like that. occasionally some asshole will pick a fight, for no reason so you have to beat the shit out of them. Or kill them. But killing them will get a bounty on your ass most of the time. People talk a lot of shit, especially in St. Denis, and they're all assholes. The god damn kids are the biggest problem. It depends what you're looking for. I'm sure you've read The Raven at one point or another. The Bells is an amazing poem. My favorite of his short stories is The Cask Of Amontillado. But you can also never go wrong with The Fall Of The House Of Usher.

I don't know if this has been done yet, but a good AI in terms of enemy would be not only something that can kill you, but WANTS to kill you. That I think would be giving the AI the ability to think though, which could be the downfall of life and end up like either the Terminator or the Matrix. But maybe I'm overthinking shit.

I know a guy my age that has hated men his entire life. He always went inside to gossip with the women while the guys were outside with the hood up on a car drinking beer. As such he was often labeled some derogatory term for gay, even though he was 110% heterosexual. He never wanted anything to do with anything that had a dick. Even with pets, he almost always wanted females. He and I always got along really well when we saw each other, as we saw things almost identically. Me being a woman, we couldn't see everything 100% identical, but it was close. I haven't seen him in years, but I heard from his cousin that he still hates men. I don't think female PC's started coming out until the SNES/Sega Genesis era. The first memory I have of a female character was Samus. But the first obviously female characters were in Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. We had Chun Li and Sonya Blade. Female characters became more and more prominent in games over the years, but very slowly. Fighting games typically featured white males. Or some kind of mutant or monster. Until I think Soul Calibur, there were always only one female in a fighting game. I could be wrong on that part though. Mario Kart featured Peach as a character to play. But I don't really count that personally. But now, with most games women are just as prominent as men. Especially games where you can completely customize your character. As for playing female characters, there's nothing wrong with that. Play whatever you want. It's your character. You're not in the game to please other people. For example my girl buys outfits for Arthur in RDR2 that I absolutely hate. She also braids her horses tail. I hate that. But it's her file not mine. So do what you want in regards to the sex. Whether it's limited to gaming, or if a person want's a sex change IRL. You have to make you happy. Everyone else can piss off.

Religion could also play a big role. There are a lot of extremists who think anything other than reading their religious scripture (typically xtians) is evil and unacceptable. That it's a disownable offense. Think things like the Westboro Baptist Church. They lose their shit over things like this, which includes buybull games. They're almost as withdrawn as the Amish. The difference is that the WBC is a bunch of brain dead psychopaths. I remember people handing out little comics that show a kid whose character died in a D&D game committing suicide because of it. In an attempt to show the "reality" of those kind of games.

I think a lot of people that aren't very well educated on gaming equate it to being a "nerd" or a "geek" which, from my generation, was a bad thing to be. They picture the pimply faced, white collared shirt, pocket protector, thick glasses, and slacks that were about 4" above their ankles as the average gamer. Now those same "nerds" and "geeks" are the ones making millions by designing these games. Whereas the rest of us are making minimum wage or less, and just scraping by. But no one is willing to admit it. They want the nerds and geeks to be living at home in their mothers basement hosting a weekly D&D tournament and watching Dr. Who and Battlestar Gallactica all day. I mean no offense to any of those. Not my thing, but no offense to anyone who is into it. I played D&D as a teenager, but lost interest. I never got into Dr Who or BG, so I can't form an opinion on them.

Yes, but Sega went under long ago as a gaming console. A last ditch effort with the Dreamcast didn't do them any favors, as it didn't last long. Now they are strictly a game developer. I have the same disc but on my PS3 instead. It shouldn't have been made for the games that were on the Sega Genesis in my opinion. If a company goes under as a console, but remains as a game developer that can skew things a bit. But I still think they should leave their old games to their old consoles. I hate the rebooted Links Awakening on Switch. I only play it when nothing else appeals to me. Granted it's "prettier" but it's not the same game. I heavily prefer it on GameBoy over Switch.

By that logic, then there is no point or reason for anyone to buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X. They should make all PS5 games compatible with the PS3 and PS4. Same with the Xbox. The market is growing at a steady rate, and the sustainability is higher than new systems because these systems were built to be able to withstand a punch. You do that with a modern system and you have to get a new one. You hard drive is fucked, all your DDL’s are gone, your save data is gone. What would you prefer to own: a perfect condition revolutionary musket, or a copy built last year that works (loads and fires) the same way? I collect skulls. Should I quit collecting real bone skulls, and go for fakes that are made of resin? They look the same, but they’re not.

Is anyone exclusive or loyal (however you want to put it) to any brand of item? This is not a gaming question. For example I love Citizen watches. If someone was to give me a $35,000 Rolex, I would sell it, and then buy a $600 citizen. I'd pocket the rest of the cash. For my rats I only feed them Oxbow pellets, aside from the fresh veggies. There's only one place in town that I will buy alcohol. It's all the way on the opposite corner of town. I live in the northeast corner and it's in the southwest corner. And in a town of 120k people when school is OUT and closer to 180k when school is in, that's a bit of a drive. There are 3 major colleges here in town, and more than a dozen smaller colleges. 60k students is a light year. I'd easily put it closer to 200k when school is in full swing and we're not under a fucking pandemic. Back in the late 90's this was voted the second best small town in America for several years in a row. How, I don't know, because this place sucks with all the damn teenyboppers thinking they're badasses. I don't like kids. But I'm getting off topic.
