Damn you two make a girl feel old. I'm thirty-frickin-nine. 39 years old, and there's these damn kids talking about being the majority. So now I see that we need some more that remember what "regular or unleaded" meant. Those of us that remember grainy cartoons. And above all, those of us that remember that music attained scientifically proven perfection in 1986! 😉
  2. The only gaming magazine I ever bought was Tips & Tricks, because it had codes and cheats for almost every game that had a cheat up through PS1 and N64. I don't even know if the magazine still exists or not, but it was pretty good back then.
  3. One could say Sony and Microsoft both, as Sony was mostly a home stereo manufacturer, and Microsoft was almost strictly computers. But I would say the RCA Studio II and the Magnavox Odyssey 2 came from a couple odd companies.
  4. In the beginning I was thinking that was filmed here, because the building in the screen before you click it to play, looks exactly like one that's on campus. I couldn't figure out why the hell they would film something like that here. I'm glad to see it was filmed in Paris. Or Europe at least.
  5. This was what turned me off from AC initially. It's also one of the issues that turned me off from Twilight Princess. I tried TP several times, but those damn wolf tutorials and forced challenges made me quit. I gave AC another chance, but with AC3 this time, and loved it. So now I'm into the series.
  6. Discs 1 and 4 of FF8 are pretty boring. Disc 1 is mostly just an intro to the game, and in disc 4 all the hell there is to do is get through Ultimecia's castle. you beat bosses to unlock your abilities, and move on to fight one of the easiest bosses in game history.
  7. I always go for all the figurines at the game shop in the Links Awakening remake. The only thing they really do is get out of the way for the occasional chamber stones, heart pieces and seashells. I also catch every kind of fish in the pond including the big blue one called Ol' Baron. In FF8 I always try to collect as many of the Triple Triad cards as I can. A lot of them can me turned into useful items, so that helps, but a lot of them are useless for items. So I just collect them to fill out the list.
  8. The white Arabian in RDR2. She's fast as hell, high stamina, and beautiful. The only downside is that she's panicky and dumb as a fucking rock.
  9. The Legend Of Zelda I can tell you anything you want to know about this one. Including which bushes you can burn that will net you 100 rupees from traitor moblins. Zelda: A Link To The Past I know everything about the game, including the secret room by the castle, that almost no one knows about. If you have a question, ask me, and I can guarantee you I know the answer. I'm also pretty educated on Ocarina Of Time, and Links Awakening too.
  10. Konami was one of my favorites. I mean who can forget gems like Contra? Sunsoft was another one. They made Blaster Master, one of my all time favorite games. Capcom was great too. DMC, several RE games, SF2, and more.
  11. I pay homage to the Gods and Goddesses of ancient Greece. God Of War is directly related to Them. When people refer to all of Them as myths, then I get extremely offended. Just because they don't believe in Them that makes Them a myth? Is jesus a myth? Is Allah a myth? Is jehova a myth? Then shut the fuck up. Your bigoted bullshit needs to stay in your god damn head.
  12. The only overtly sexual game I ever played was Custer's Revenge. That one was definitely not a kids game, but for the time no one cared. "A white man raping nonwhite women? Who the hell cares?" My, how the times have changed. (note the sarcasm)
  13. Obviously it was the NES era. One main reason is that the games were all so unique. Sure there were several popular franchise's, but there were a plethora of games that had no sequels, and were so far beyond unique that nothing even remotely similar has come out since. A few titles: A Boy And His Blob Astyanax Clash At Daemonhead Final Fantasy* Legacy Of The Wizard Marble Madness Street Fighter 2010 T&C Surf Designs Yo! Noid You're not going to find any games like these. Today everything is about a sequel. There is nothing original. Everyone follows the same tired game style. It's sickening. I can play 30 games on the NES and not play anything in the same genre of the other games every time. Today, you might get 2 games like that. Or if you're really crafty and resourceful, 3. I would give my left tit to see a developer take a chance and make something that's not out of left field, it's past left field. Something completely wild that's never been done before. But, alas, that's not going to happen. It's why I go no further than N64, with only a few exceptions. I would have added Blaster Master, but there were what I would term "failed attempts" at sequels. *I put Final Fantasy because until FFX, no Final Fantasy game had a true sequel. They were all vastly different, as if they weren't even part of the same franchise.
  14. Like a complete 180 on their personality. Someone is loyal and like family in the beginning, but as the game goes on they end up betraying you.
  15. Funny, I don't recall recording anything for a video game.
  16. I can think of a couple, that need no explanation. Beavis & Butthead Earthworm Jim 2 Those are two of the goofiest games I have ever played. I would put Conker on this, but that one just doesn't seem right to me for this topic.
  17. Help in knowing what to do, or how to do it, is good. But after that is taught in the beginning, any more "instruction" only takes away from the game.
  18. Hatred and Postal 2 were banned in a multitude of countries due to the violence of the game. I've played both, and while I agree that they are indeed violent, they're no more violent than many of the games that everyone plays on a regular basis. The only real difference is the plot and mission. If it's too violent for your sensibilities, then just don't buy the fucking thing.
  19. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone specific. But what I can say, is someone that is a total opposite of me IRL. Someone that doesn't wake up pissed off. Pissed that they are still alive, that is. Maybe someone who sees value in life. Princess Zelda perhaps, but that's too easy a choice. Rinoa maybe.
  20. I get a bit of an empty feeling when I reach a certain point in some games. Sometimes it feels like the characters have reached a point that they're not the same people you started out with. Like everything has changed and no one is left. I don't like reaching that point. It's why often these days, I play to a certain point in a game and keep it there. I don't advance the story anymore.
  21. I hate my fate. I’ll be in this fucking chair until the day I finally die. I’d give anything to be able to walk again.
