  1. I’m part of a crew that codes and puts out games once or twice a year. Depending on the game, there are on average 15-20 of us working on it. We’re not looking to bring anymore people in, and we try to stay away from the sickeningly overdone and overused games. If you want to assemble a crew you need to do it ABOVE THE DESK NOT UNDER IT. No one will work with you like that when you’re the one who will get all the credit and they get none. It’s time for you to find something else to do.
  2. Dragon Strike. It was one of the best board games I ever played. I posted the VHS video on another thread here somewhere on the forum, but I'll post it here as well.
  3. I used to have a job at the mall operating a VR ride. How it worked was that you would pick a scenario that you wanted to "ride". There was an enclosed thing that you got inside, and would move and jerk in accordance with the video that played in front of you. A lot of people got motion sickness on it. To do it, I had to experience all of them. There were roller coasters, race car rides, boat rides, outer space rides, and several others. It was 20 years ago, and my memory is shit, so there's no way I could remember all of them. If I do remember though, it was actual footage that was played inside the machine to try to make the ride as realistic as possible.
  4. These are two of my all time favorites. I played them all the time, and still do. But what I want to know is, who else has played them? I mean the first Blaster Master on NES, and LOTW on NES. LOTW never got a sequel, but Blaster Master had a few remakes. But I'm asking strictly about the original on NES. Who played either of them? What are your thoughts? Did you ever manage to beat the Plutonium Boss? Were you able to find the crowns and kill the dragon? And if so WHERE THE HELL ARE THE LAST THREE FUCKING CROWNS????????
  5. The thing I would be worried about with VR is a person developing Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). People can get so ingrained in a game through something like VR that they forget who they are and are unable to separate the video game world from the real world. They think they are the character they created in the game IRL. It could be like a Ready Player One meets Surrogates situation.
  6. I don't use social media, unless YouTube counts. I do have a throwaway Facebook account, but that's just because FB requires you to have an account to even view anything on the site. I have a Twitter, but that's only so I can upload images from my Switch, like the ones I post in the rewards thread @DC has going. But again, it's just a throwaway account. I used to post pics of my pets on an Instagram, but I can't remember any of the login or even what the link would be.
  7. Yes. I was playing Zelda A Link To The Past a couple years ago. I had a file I had kept on it since I was a kid. It was one where I went through the entire game in one sitting and got a perfect score. I had wanted to keep file game on there forever. I moved my foot and caught it on the cord for the controller, which jerked the system. When I restarted all 3 files were blank. Needless to say, I was pissed.
  8. From what I've been reading here, the game is an open ended game with no actual end. How would you beat or finish such a game? Or should I just stick with SMB? LOL
  9. You've got a damn good point. Then when you realize that it was all fake, it will fuck you up. I've had dreams where I met someone, fell in love, and spent my life married to them. Then when I woke up I realized it wasn't real and ended up with a broken heart. The same applies here.
  10. I lost so much time to this game as well as the first one. I have to say that the first one was better, but this one was amazing too. I haven’t played it in a while. I should probably pop it in soon.
  11. I’ve got a love-hate relationship with RDR2. I’ve put a ton of hours into it, and still feel like I’ve found the family I needed but never had. I even miss Micah when I’m not playing, and that’s saying something.
  12. I saw that on a YouTube video. But it does make sense.
  13. Super Mario Run and Mario Kart Tour are available on the app store. I also saw some Sonic games on there as well. Others are Need For Speed and Dr. Mario World.
  14. I assume you're talking about current gen games. I would have to give my vote to Tell Me Why and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. Both hit home for me very personally, so they stand out more than any other game.
  15. At the moment, I’m not interested in mods, partially because I know nothing about them, and partially because I want to play the game honestly without modding it.
  16. I don't want to hear any PCMR or fanboy bullshit. I'm asking people an honest question, and I don't want answers from anyone who refuses to touch more than one platform. The title says it all. I have Skyrim for both PS3 and Switch. The PS3 was so damn buggy it turned me off from the game for a very long time. So PS3 is OUT. I just got back into playing it again yesterday. I'm a n00b so I haven't gotten far, and don't remember names of towns or anything yet. I'm in the town at the beginning that you have to talk to the Jarl. The place that was under lockdown because of the dragon(s). I also don't know my way around the world of Skyrim, so there's that too. But to those that have played it on more than one platform, which do you think is the best? The ones I have available to me are Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. I'm enjoying the hell out of it on my Switch. It's a great game. But I just wonder if I decide I want to play it on a bigger screen or something, what would be my best option? Oh and, FUCK THOSE GOD DAMN WOLVES😡😡😡😡
  17. I was going to nominate @Reality vs Adventure myself, but since @Shagger beat me to it, my nomination is going to @Crazycrab. He is making a lot of good contributions to the forum, and I have enjoyed reading his posts a lot lately.
  18. I would buy it from someone who won it. If it's unique or limited edition anyway. It would be quite the collectible.
  19. I usually go with something I know virtually everything about. Something I have played for decades, like FF8 or Zelda (N64 and back). Those kind of games help me relax a lot.
  20. I have it and just played it last week. It's not the easiest game if you don't have ROB or a second player. But it's still fun as hell.
  21. I would say FF8. IT has an amazing opening.
  22. The right wing wants to force their opinion on everyone and try to force them to repeat it as if they're a god damn parrot. They may not be fanboys but their nazi tactics are fucking everything up, especially since they're trying to revoke other people's freedoms in so many areas of life.
  23. You have to have family and friends before you can hear this kind of idiocy. But I have heard this argument before. And @Shagger is exactly right. That's why we have ratings on games now. You wouldn't give a 5 year old a copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day just because it has a cute squirrel on the cover, so it has to be for kids. Well when the kid is bouncing off a sunflowers tits, maybe you will think twice before calling a game system a child's toy. Even Atari was doing it with Custer's Revenge in 1982. Look at the fucking ratings people. There are games directed at the 5 year old demographic, and games directed at the adult demographic. Not all of them are pornographic. Some are gory, some are cutesy. Some are nightmare inducing, some are calming and soothing. You have to look into what the plot and story is. If I had kids, I wouldn't let my ten year old play Call Of Duty, but I would have no problem with them playing Castlevania. Just because they need to understand the difference between fiction and nonfiction. CoD is too realistic for what I would want my child exposed to at that age. Castlevania, is obviously a fictitious story. So as long as my child was able to enjoy the game, and it had no mental/emotional effects on him/her/neither/both then I would be fine with that. What parents need to understand is that there are ratings for a reason, and you have to make a responsible decision. When you do that, then it can be called a toy for the younger demographic, but it's not for the older.
