Ok to start, here are a bunch of Zelda memes.

Excellent choice. I've watched this video hundreds of times. Draiman can really stare straight into your soul in this one.

Nickleback is good. I don't care if the whole world hates them, I like their music, so I see no reason to jump on the bandwagon and stop listening to them. If I was that type of person, I wouldn't still be listening to 80's rock anymore simply because it's gone out of style. I still play 80's music all the time. If you don't like it you have 2 options. Plug your ears, or get the hell out of my car.

At the moment they have no plans to add games from anymore systems. The N64 took so much work and development for the games, that it was difficult to even port Zelda OoT to the 3DS. Granted the Switch is more powerful, but they're concentrating more on modern games, and only a handful of classic games. I enjoy the hell out of it, as I subscribed to it a few months ago. It's worth subscribing to, but don't expect every last game to be there. There's more features than that.

What shows and movies should be made into a video game?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
To my knowledge this hasn't been done, so I'm going to suggest a Hellraiser game. Play as either Kirsty or Pinhead. You choose to either defeat the Cenobites or lead them in destroying and enslaving the world. I would most likely play as Pinhead every single time. -
Either way, I just hope not. Photorealism would only take away the reason of playing a video game. It's supposed to be an escape, not a tryout for the KC Chiefs, or entry into the Indy 500. It's supposed to teleport us somewhere that the most advanced weapons are swords and bows. It just removes all enjoyment to me. If it's going to do that, then it may as well all be moved strictly to competitions. It's no longer enjoyment anyway. Because by that time, they won't be worried about making a good entertaining game. They'll only be worried about the graphics of the shit game they're about to release. Photorealism will be the downfall of gaming.

Do You Prefer Open World or Linear Game Formats?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It all depends on what my intentions are. If I'm just wanting to run around aimlessly, then I need something open world. Something confined, like Zelda games, is just not going to cut it. The NPC's are always in the exact same spot, doing the exact same thing. Give me RDR2. NPC's everywhere doing things as if they were being controlled by other gamers, in an open world, with unlimited possibilities. But then if I want a game where there is a direct objective, again Zelda, then I pop in those games. That's not an issue for me. It all depends on my mood. -
Is There A Platform You're Just Not Interested In?
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Platforms
You will have to get a decent sized end table or two to hold both of them. I can understand adding size to consoles due to hardware issues, but this is starting to get ridiculous. I'm seeing more grandstanding than anything else here. Up through the current gen systems, everything was a reasonable size. With the exception of a few obscure systems (i.e. Atari 5200) here and there. But the PS5 and Xbox X are starting to pull a "mine's bigger than yours" act. How insecure do you have to be to make a system the size of New York? At least shrink it down to St. Louis. -
It's available across all 4 top platforms. PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. I came across it when I was looking through the eShop. I watched the trailer, added funds to my account, and bought it. Whether there's going to be a PS5 or Xbox X release, I can't say. But since there's reverse compatibility there shouldn't be any issues. However if they do rerelease it on either system for the new gen there would most likely be a lot of new features added. We'll just have to wait and see.

This is downloading on my Switch right now as I'm posting this. $29.99 USD

You can always move the stand to the side to lay the PS5 down on its side. That's a possibility that could conserve some space. -
Imperial Or Metric?
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Yet it's much more accurate. Look I still think we should switch to metric, but imperial is simpler to use, more accurate, and all around more basic. The only reason I say we should switch is because the entire world uses metric except the US, Myanmar, and Liberia. -
Do you think videogames should be a political platform?
The Blackangel replied to m76's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
People will do anything they can to push their own agenda. It doesn’t matter what that agenda is. Religion, politics, racial, environmental, and so on. It’s a sad fact of life, but sadly one we have no choice but to deal with. -
Imperial Or Metric?
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Debate, Politics, & Religion
Imperial is much simpler than metric. 180cm? A cm isn’t even a half inch. How the hell many do you need to get the fucking point across? A kilo being 2.2 pounds? Who is the jackass that decided that? Fahrenheit is a better system than celsius. You get a mire exact temp. 33C is roughly 90F. 34C is roughly 95F. Excuse me but.... What the fuck? Can you not count? There are 4 numbers you skipped. But 35C isn’t another 5 degrees. Math and logic are clearly not a priority. Water freezes at 32(a much more exact temp) and boils at 212 (another exact number). We’re not rounding it up or down just so people can keep up without bitching about it. As for time, we do that in the states. It’s called military time. -
If they think they can benefit, then Bethesda is gone. Simple as that.

I’m more into things like Layers Of Fear: Legacy for horror games. I like exploration with fear around every corner instead of a monster trying to kill me in a creepy setting all the time. Things like Evil Within are just too overdone for me to enjoy. They rely too much on the stereotype of mutant killers out of nowhere. A disembodied scream that you can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from is a lot more freaky.

I played Dance Maniax a lot. It’s similar to DDR, but you wave your hands over sensors instead.

Swordquest: Airworld never got released.😢 I remember playing Fireworld and Earthworld, and still playing them today. Waterworld is extremely rare, but Airworld, while it was planned, never got made. There was something I mentioned in another thread, but I can’t remember what it was at the moment.

What other franchises deserve the Mario Maker treatment?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
They did a small version already in the Switch port of Links Awakening, but I think a Zelda Maker would be interesting. Final Fantasy Maker would also be interesting, but would have to be specific to specific entries in the series, or it would have to be something new entirely. -
The Shadow Dungeon and Bottom Of The Well in Zelda OoT. I get that they needed something creepy to fit the atmosphere of each dungeon, but they tried too damn hard with this one. They went past creepy, straight into annoying as hell. I have to mute the TV to make it through that dungeon without putting a bullet in the TV.
-
It takes something completely different to scare me. This kind of shit would be more annoying than anything. But considering who has been in power the last 3½ years, all you have to do is talk to someone Hispanic and you will realize that Americans have been living in option 4.

TMNT and Zelda 2 were so easy. I don’t get where people are getting the idea that they were hard games to beat. Zelda 2 could be a little cryptic in some areas, but that would last for all of 5 seconds. Legacy Of The Wizard is the one that gets my vote. To beat it you have to find 4 crowns to wake a dragon so that you can kill it. I’ve been playing the game for 30 fucking years and have so far found only ONE GOD DAMN CROWN. So if you’re looking for hard, then you’ve found it.
-
I played the first two quite a bit, but haven’t for several years now. They were good, but not quite to the level I was expecting. So much hype and negative press, so I thought they would be awesome. But they really cut corners with the supposed “brutality”.

Occasionally. Sometimes it’s a breath of fresh air to play something with no real objective. If you’re getting burned out on having to go for a goal all the time, but still want to be gaming, then you need this.
