I know exactly what you're talking about. I have advanced muscular dystrophy. I have little to no strength whatsoever, and the pain I have daily is excruciating. Not only does MD deteriorate the muscles of the body (including the heart), but it is also a neurological disorder which deteriorates the brain and mind. Neuromuscular diseases are literally terminal. I'm going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Physical activity is out. If I try to walk more than 3-4 steps, I overexert myself and pass out. I can't lift anything more than 2-3 pounds without the same result. This is no life to live. I'm always in pain, and always exhausted. The meds I'm on help, but not much.

Anyone else feel like they are living in cuckoo land?
The Blackangel replied to clonefox's topic in General Chat
Come on now, you know they wouldn't see us that intelligent. Unless they were drunk. 😉 -
Does anyone else get an Aeon Flux, or Happy Death Day vibe from this? There's tons of other movies in the same setting, but this feels cheap. It's an unoriginal, and overdone plot. I'll happily pass on this one.

Games where you find it hard to ignore optional busy work
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I have that problem with the side quests in FF8 as well as several Zelda games. In FF8 there are several that I just have to complete. The CC Club, Deep Sea Research Center, Cactuar Island, Obel Lake, Shumi Tribe, and Centra Ruins just to name a few. I also have an issue when there's a rare item I want such as Ribbons. With Zelda games, specifically Ocarina, I have to get all skulltulas, all bottles, upgrades (quivers for example), Epona, and the BigGoron Sword. None of this is a requirement in any way, but I have to get them. In Link's Awakening, all secret seashells and all heart pieces. Castlevania SOTN is another. There are certain drop items that I will spend hours trying to get. Swords, armor, relics, special items such as rings, and a ton of other stuff. I have to have at least one of everything in my inventory. As @Crazycrab said, it gets very distracting. -
How long did it take you to download RDR II?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
I recommend getting the disc. It runs faster than the DDL, and is a lot less glitchy. -
Games that do ominous foreboding well
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
RDR2 does it a lot. I’m not going to give any specifics, because I don’t want to let loose any spoilers. But it’s common. -
Something got a bit screwy. It said that you quoted me, but the quoted statement was one I never said.

For this thread, post a song and have others critique it. What they think of the song itself but not necessarily the video, and the artist singing/rapping it.

FutureGrind is an awesome game. It's tricky as hell, and probably impossible to master.

This is one NES game that I never actually played. I did enjoy the books, but never played a digital version.

What studio do you think is capable of making a massive game next?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
It's a small indie label, but I think nakano.io is capable of making a blockbuster game. They just need the funds to do so, as it's risky as hell for small label and can make or break them. The games I have played from them are amazing games. They may be small, but they're great. -

Why is it that games usually come out on Tuesdays?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I noticed a couple years ago that movies hit the theatre on Fridays and hit the shelves on Tuesdays. It was obvious about Friday. More people go to the theatre on the weekends, so that made sense. As for Tuesdays, that one I don't know the answer to. But with games, I'm sure its the same thing. With them coming out on Fridays people are more likely to buy said game so they can play it over the weekend. Whereas if they buy it during the week, it may have to sit a few days to where the anticipation can wear off, at least a little bit, and they are less likely to recommend the game. If you've never played a game, you can't recommend it with validity. For example, I can't recommend Mass Effect because I've never played it. But I can recommend Zelda II, because I've played the hell out of it. It's a marketing strategy based on statistics. Nothing more, nothing less. -
I've encountered them more than once. I never "froze" as you put it. The initial surprise of seeing another one does make one pause, but not all freeze. Wrong side of the bed today?

I’ve got 30 years experience with daemonology. I know how to handle that side as well. It’s actually quite easy if you stand firm.

I edited my avatar a few days ago. I’m on Reddit pretty much every day. But I’m pretty much only active on one.

Adolf has flat out said that he won’t vacate the office that he lost. He is trying to seize permanent control, while wiping his worthless ass with the constitution. He needs to be executed, plain and simple. Which if he doesn’t vacate the White House, may be a possibility as that could be seen as an attack on the President. And treason is an automatic execution. If only Adolf had suffered a tragic event in early childhood....

Xbox Series X Customer Accidentally Sent An Xbox One X Instead
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Unless I missed something in the article, she knew exactly what she ordered. She ordered the Series X, not an Xbox One X. My point is that it's the fault of Microsoft for naming 2 consecutive systems almost identically. Doing shit like this makes me hate Xbox even more. PlayStation was smart enough to keep it simple. Nintendo got a bit creative with the names of their systems, but they were smart enough to name them differently enough that they can't be confused with one another. Either way, Microsoft fucked up. -
Satan, wolfman, and the talking mountain
The Blackangel replied to The Blackangel's topic in Video Games
These aren't Halloween edits. I've been dealing with them all year, and still can't figure out what the authors of the game were thinking when they added this crazy shit into the game. There's plenty more that has always been in the game. The swamp ghost, UFO, ghost train, and burning pentagram just for starters. These are not Halloween add ons. They have always been there, it's just that most people don't come across them. Also remember, I don't play online, so this is the disc info. Maybe you just need a new copy of the game? I had that issue with one of the "Greatest Hits" editions of FF8. The first 3 discs played fine. But when I would put in disc 4, the machine didn't even recognize that there was a disc in the machine. I tried with 3 copies of the same edition in several different machines. Finally I said fuck it, and bought an original copy and had no problems. It was just that press of the game that didn't work. So you may have gotten a bad copy, or your disc may be scratched. If that's the case, I would recommend another try with a new copy. But I can also understand saying fuck it as well. I did that with Skyrim after if glitched out on my PS3. I just recently started playing it again on my Switch, and so far it's given me no problems. -
I stock up when I start getting low. I have to have Diet Pepsi, bottled water (Fiji), potato chips, and fruit.

I enjoy chocolate once in a while, but there's only one thing you can't trust me around. Anything gummy. Gummy Bears, Gummy Worms, Gummy anything. I will eat them all without stopping for air. They're my one weakness.
