  1. The old systems kinda needed a mascot, just because that was the times. Mario and Sonic are iconic. Link too. But in today's gaming world, choosing a mascot is not a smart move. It takes away time from the developers that should be working on their games and systems, by instead having a consensus to choose a character to represent them. And there's no telling how long that would take, and how much money would be poured into such a pointless endeavor. Too much R&D for a mascot instead of R&D for a hot game series.
  2. I can get that. In all honesty the only real thing that keeps my interest in PlayStation as a whole is God Of War. Other than that one game, I honestly don't really have much interest in it anymore. My all time favorite game is now available on Switch (FF8) so I don't really use any of my PlayStation's anymore. I bought the dual FF7/FF8 cart a year or so ago, and haven't touched any of my disc copies of FF8 since. Having it portable, is also a major plus. If Sony was willing to license GoW to another platform, such as Switch, then I would possibly never play another PlayStation again. What can I say, I'm a Nintendo girl.
  3. I'm hoping to find a 1-2tb micro SSD card or two. I know Best Buy has them, but they're out of my price range.
  4. Being wheelchair bound, it gives me something to occupy my mind and break up endless days with nothing else to do. Also it can give a person a sense of accomplishment and thus raise their morale. Which in turn could help them become successful ITL as well. Higher morale = higher productivity.
  5. I’m hoping some of the games in my wishlist on the Nintendo eShop go on sale in a significant amount. I have a couple that I haven’t bought yet because they’re about $60.
  6. I'm thinking that they got the name backwards when they founded it. I think their initial name was StopGames as they seem to be anti-gaming as well as anti-intelligence.
  7. This is mainly aimed at current gen systems. But whichever console you predominantly game on, what do you consider the most annoying missing feature? Something that flat out should have been a given, but it was flat out left out. For me it’s the lack of Bluetooth on the Switch. Everything else that’s mobile has it so why the hell not their biggest system to date.
  8. Is this only on Steam, or is it available anywhere else?

  10. I know exactly what you're talking about. I have advanced muscular dystrophy. I have little to no strength whatsoever, and the pain I have daily is excruciating. Not only does MD deteriorate the muscles of the body (including the heart), but it is also a neurological disorder which deteriorates the brain and mind. Neuromuscular diseases are literally terminal. I'm going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Physical activity is out. If I try to walk more than 3-4 steps, I overexert myself and pass out. I can't lift anything more than 2-3 pounds without the same result. This is no life to live. I'm always in pain, and always exhausted. The meds I'm on help, but not much.
  11. Come on now, you know they wouldn't see us that intelligent. Unless they were drunk. 😉
  12. Does anyone else get an Aeon Flux, or Happy Death Day vibe from this? There's tons of other movies in the same setting, but this feels cheap. It's an unoriginal, and overdone plot. I'll happily pass on this one.
  13. I have that problem with the side quests in FF8 as well as several Zelda games. In FF8 there are several that I just have to complete. The CC Club, Deep Sea Research Center, Cactuar Island, Obel Lake, Shumi Tribe, and Centra Ruins just to name a few. I also have an issue when there's a rare item I want such as Ribbons. With Zelda games, specifically Ocarina, I have to get all skulltulas, all bottles, upgrades (quivers for example), Epona, and the BigGoron Sword. None of this is a requirement in any way, but I have to get them. In Link's Awakening, all secret seashells and all heart pieces. Castlevania SOTN is another. There are certain drop items that I will spend hours trying to get. Swords, armor, relics, special items such as rings, and a ton of other stuff. I have to have at least one of everything in my inventory. As @Crazycrab said, it gets very distracting.
  14. I recommend getting the disc. It runs faster than the DDL, and is a lot less glitchy.
  15. RDR2 does it a lot. I’m not going to give any specifics, because I don’t want to let loose any spoilers. But it’s common.
  16. Something got a bit screwy. It said that you quoted me, but the quoted statement was one I never said.
  17. I think the following two are a little more random....
  18. For this thread, post a song and have others critique it. What they think of the song itself but not necessarily the video, and the artist singing/rapping it.
  19. Age Of Empires 2 MDK Diablo I Diablo II Hatred Virtually any Final Fantasy game
  20. FutureGrind is an awesome game. It's tricky as hell, and probably impossible to master.
  21. This is one NES game that I never actually played. I did enjoy the books, but never played a digital version.
  22. It's a small indie label, but I think nakano.io is capable of making a blockbuster game. They just need the funds to do so, as it's risky as hell for small label and can make or break them. The games I have played from them are amazing games. They may be small, but they're great.
  23. Pop the olives off that, and I'll pig out.
  24. I noticed a couple years ago that movies hit the theatre on Fridays and hit the shelves on Tuesdays. It was obvious about Friday. More people go to the theatre on the weekends, so that made sense. As for Tuesdays, that one I don't know the answer to. But with games, I'm sure its the same thing. With them coming out on Fridays people are more likely to buy said game so they can play it over the weekend. Whereas if they buy it during the week, it may have to sit a few days to where the anticipation can wear off, at least a little bit, and they are less likely to recommend the game. If you've never played a game, you can't recommend it with validity. For example, I can't recommend Mass Effect because I've never played it. But I can recommend Zelda II, because I've played the hell out of it. It's a marketing strategy based on statistics. Nothing more, nothing less.
  25. I've encountered them more than once. I never "froze" as you put it. The initial surprise of seeing another one does make one pause, but not all freeze. Wrong side of the bed today?
