  1. I just don't give a shit what someone's preference is, for the most part. Sometimes I actually like it when preferences are completely different. Differing opinions and preferences make for more entertaining chat. But you get what you give. If you try to tell me I'm wrong because I do/do not like >insert game title/platform< then we have a problem on our hands.
  2. I have a cubby on my desk that I keep a small TV and my PS3 & Xbox One in. But I'm typically on my SNES and N64, and there's no actual way to choose with them, so I guess it doesn't matter there.
  3. Vesuvius, Fuji, and St. Helens all allow climbing pretty much year round. The biggest risk is altitude sickness, but the only of those 3 that I saw a mention of it was on Mt. Fuji. You could also travel to Yellowstone National Park. It's laying directly on top of a super-volcano. It's the only super-volcano I can think of at the moment, and if I remember correctly, it's also the largest. One eruption from it, and we're extinct, type volcano. I don't know much about volcanology. My interest is astronomy. I'm absolutely fascinated by the universe. Planets, exoplanets, black holes, nebulae, super novae, neutron stars, galaxies, all of it.
  4. Don't ask me. I don't have a damn clue.
  5. I have a ton of DDL games on my Switch, and almost all of them are indie games. Actually I only have a couple games for it that aren't indie games. Switch has broadened my horizons exponentially.
  6. Same here. I played with legos all the time as a kid. But have felt no allure whatsoever to Minecraft.
  7. There is one that I talk about a lot on here. Legacy Of The Wizard. Most people, including classic gamers, don't even know it exists. It's one of the greatest games I've ever played, and extremely challenging. But that was one of the best thing about NES games. They were often beyond challenging. The one that comes to mind for most people on that is Battletoads. A good SNES game would be Illusion Of Gaia. Beautiful SNES graphics, and awesome story line. N64 has so many. Most people were getting more interested in PlayStation in that era. But for those of us that stuck with Nintendo the rewards were great. At least to us. One that I don't think a lot of people know is Hexen. I never hear anyone talk about it, and it's an absolutely awesome game. A PS3 game that I don't see a lot of discussion about is Dantes Inferno. It's amazing. I haven't beaten it yet, but that doesn't matter to me. it's an awesome game, and it seems that no one knows about it.
  8. I got Castle Wreck a few days ago. In a nutshell, you use a mortar cannon to fire at a castle to try to take it down. You're supposed to strategically fire at what would be the weak points and raze it to the ground. If you have any destructive tendencies, it's a pretty good game.
  9. The shows I like aren't on any of the other streaming services that I've tried. So I'm good to go with just Hulu being on Switch.
  10. I would go with physical. Maybe it's due to being a classic gamer, but I prefer to have a game that I can hold in my hand.
  11. More spam. Please delete this post.
  12. The topic was already posted HERE. But to answer it again, I stand. Less space taken up, and it gives them more surface space to dispel heat which lessens the chance of overheating.
  13. This is the first I've heard about Xbox Smart Delivery. The problem I see is that it can easily be taken advantage of. I would assume that you would have to send in the Xbox One disc, and I'm sure they would want the receipt as well. But in all honesty, who the hell hangs on to a 4 year old receipt? Or is this entirely swapping out DDL's? There's just too many holes in this to be a plausible deal. I would be wary as hell of it. Hell, I already am, and have no intentions whatsoever of having a Series X in my house ever.
  14. Nothing to me. I don't know how many games/movies/albums there have been that got horrible scores on their respective review catalogues that I absolutely loved. Also there have been some that got the best scores in the history of that media that I hated. Reviews and scores hold no value. It's all pure opinion. If a person hates FPS games they're not going to give Doom a very good score. I have several LJN games, and I love them. And we all know how LJN is perceived by the majority of the gaming world. I might be interested in a few opinions by people who have actually put actual time into playing said game. Such as people here at the forum. But someone who makes a living giving a 30 second review, holds no worth or validity when it comes to what they have to say or what score they give something.
  15. Is it any band, or just the rubber ones that come with cheap watches like Casio's? Metal bands come in different metals, which I'm sure you could find one that would work. A lot are surgical steel. Many of the higher priced are metals like tungsten, which is hypoallergenic.
  16. I think a tablet would be a good choice for gaming. It would clear up data for your phone, and you would have a bigger screen. Somewhere around here I have an iPad, and if I could find it, I would game on it, but I have no clue where it is.
  17. Damn, how old are you? I can understand not knowing Colecovision, but you have never heard of Atari?! That just blows my mind. But then some people actually think Wii is retro, which not only blows my mind but makes me sick at the same time.
  18. Ok. that post confused the hell out of me. I'm not much on the technical aspect either. As long as the machine does what it's supposed to do, that's all I care about. If this was still the Win98 era, I could build a kickass computer. But that era is long gone, and I don't know shit about computers anymore. I'm lucky I can turn the damn thing on.
  19. Granted their heyday has passed, but I still think they are the top dog, with PS in second and Xbox at number 3. The sales that I personally witness, have told me that. I'm not saying those are the actual figures on the actual worldwide scale. I'm just saying that from what I see people buy. A lot ask me about systems when I'm in the gaming department at Walmart. Or when I go to GameStop and the people working there are busy enough that they can't get to the customer. I tell them what I know, and my opinions, and they go from there. Everyone has their preferences, and that's the best thing about gaming. It keeps the world diverse and gets unique things and experiences out there. Personally I have been a Nintendo chick since the NES. With a couple exceptions. I hated the Wii. I wasn't the biggest fan of Game Cube, but I played it some. Mainly Zelda Four Swords and Soul Calibur 2.
  20. I have no idea what their marketing strategy was. Maybe Hulu wanted less money from Nintendo or vice versa to hook up. One thing I have to give to Hulu at least, is that it has a hell of a lot more TV shows than Netflix. I know nothing about Amazon's streaming service, so I can't comment there. But initially, you would think that they would go for Netflix. But maybe money is what stopped them there. That's all I can come up with. But if they were going to have one, you would think they would also offer another.
