  1. I grew up playing Atari 2600 and NES. I remember people freaking out about how realistic the graphics were on the NES. Everyone wanted one. Then SNES. Same thing. There was a kid in my math class that was selling off all his SNES games and system, to get money for the N64 when it came out. People were more than blown away by the graphics. It was the first system that offered full 360° game play. Those consoles, while completely innovative for their time, are all but forgotten these days. They are retro, or "classic" as I call them. There is also a large part of gamers that prefer the old stuff, me being one of them. I play a tough of modern games (RDR2 nut), but aside from that, I'm strictly a classic gamer. That rambling aside, all consoles will become retro at some point. As time goes on, consoles will be built bigger and badder until we just put a small chip to the side of our heads and are flashed into another world of complete immersion.
  2. You can get them for cheap on Craigslist. They're going for half price compared to stores like Walmart quite often. It's where I got my first Switch as my dog ate my first one. Well, not "eat" in the literal sense, but decided that it was a chew toy nonetheless.
  3. Have you visited many tourist attractions in the UK? Things like the Druids altar, Stonehenge and possibly Ben Macdhui?
  4. What kind of games are you into? Do you have a preferred system from any particular generation?
  5. If you could live anywhere other than Scotland, where would you want to live and why?
  6. The 1993 movie was an abomination that should have been abandoned when the writers wrote the first line. That said, this movie looks really good. A cartoon is a much better idea than live action. There is so much more that can be done with animation. I mean Dennis Hopper sure as hell doesn't have the ability to breathe fire. To add to your questioning about Bowser's name, when the hell did Princess Toadstool suddenly become Peach instead? The first time I heard her name being changed was Mario 64. But when and why is what I want to know.

Mine is about 4 years old if I remember correctly. It's a gaming PC, so I have a fairly decent computer. I do need to take it in, as it's running so damn slow it would be quicker to walk to google headquarters and just ask them shit in person.
  8. A lazy woman. We're going to be home. To us, it's just any other day.
  9. Everything I watch is either some kind of streaming, YouTube, or DVD's. Primarily it's YouTube. I'm a bit of an addict. I stream a few shows on Hulu. Right now I'm binging on Forged In Fire. I've always wanted to learn blacksmithing, and this show is at least giving me something of it.

I wasn't a fan. It was slow, and seriously lacking any worthwhile substance. Figuring out how to move the character is impossible. No matter what you click on, absolutely nothing happens. It was nothing more than a complete waste of time building it, when it's not even interactive.
  11. I can only read the English alphabet. I think it's based on Roman lettering, but I could easily be wrong. But that aside, is anyone here able to read more than one alphabet? Like reading Russian, Japanese, and the English alphabets? The characters in their alphabets are just wild to me. Especially Arabic. I'm not trying to be insulting, but it all just looks like squiggles and dots to me. But if you can, was it difficult? How, when, and why did you learn the other alphabets?
  12. Whether or not she sues, the venue still should have required protective gear. Even in the Marines, when we would go against each other during rifle training with the pugil sticks, we wore tons of protective gear. If the military has to do it, civilians should DEFINITELY have to do it.
  13. As far as slasher flicks go, Nightmare On Elm Street is number one for me. Batman and Batman Returns are also on the list. As for when I was a kid, TMNT (the originals) was also great. As for kids now, Shrek was really good. Also, anything involving Minions is great.
  14. She definitely has a lawsuit. They didn't include enough padding and a soft one that would support human weight. Their negligence caused the woman's injury, so tehy're entirely responsible for her having a rod put into her back. That's not a cheap procedure. It's insanely expensive. So her medical bills, pain and suffering, and possible work loss should be awarded to her alongside punitive damages.

  16. I use a Game Genie all the time. The vast majority of my Nintendo games are now too easy for me. I've played them repeatedly and can now do it in my sleep. So I use a Game Genie to make the game ore difficult so that I can have a challenge playing it.
  17. I have no children (human at least) but I play my Switch all the time. It has a lot of good games. I recently got into horror games like Layers Of Fear, and it's a blast. I'm actually a classic gamer, so I spend more time on my systems from the N64/PS1 era and back. But I also play the shit out of RDR2.
  18. Do you have any plans to pass the torch and retire from VGR in the future?
  19. In my case, it's always been other people saying that about me. I can kill without thought, and then get a hot dog afterwards. I'm certain that I'm the most violent, malicious, and vindictive person anyone here will ever meet.
