  2. I use a Game Genie all the time. The vast majority of my Nintendo games are now too easy for me. I've played them repeatedly and can now do it in my sleep. So I use a Game Genie to make the game ore difficult so that I can have a challenge playing it.
  3. I have no children (human at least) but I play my Switch all the time. It has a lot of good games. I recently got into horror games like Layers Of Fear, and it's a blast. I'm actually a classic gamer, so I spend more time on my systems from the N64/PS1 era and back. But I also play the shit out of RDR2.
  4. Do you have any plans to pass the torch and retire from VGR in the future?
  5. In my case, it's always been other people saying that about me. I can kill without thought, and then get a hot dog afterwards. I'm certain that I'm the most violent, malicious, and vindictive person anyone here will ever meet.
  6. Saying the N word. I never even heard the word black until I was 4 and in kindergarten. Everything that was black, even tires, had it tied to them in some way.
  7. Looking online and finding my pitbull. I fell in love with her before I even met her. It was an instant bond between us and pure love.
  8. I can't speak for anyone else, but any kind of form is impossible. Even a job application. It's like someone pushed the stupify button on me. I simply can't do them. If for some reason I have to fill out something like that, @Rain Dew always has to help me. I think most people don't find as anything more than a hassle, but they're beyond my capabilities.

  10. I've mentioned this before, but I feel it's relevant here as well. There are a few things I found out about due to a guide. For example I doubt anyone here can tell me where you find the flourite and and ammolite stones. Myself, I never would have even know about their existence without the guide. I'm also willing to bet thatno one really knows where to find the female fertility statue either. Or where to find certain animals, not including the legendary animals. Without a guide or word of mouth experience, there's a hell of a lot that you could to be missing out on in games. Especially open world games. Another couple that I've found only through experience is where to find the correct bee in Zelda: A Link To The Past on SNES and Chris Houlihan's room. Things like that are always either flat out unknown, or the gamer just can't figure out to where to even look.
  11. I can't say I've gotten anything for free, but I've gotten games on Switch for less that 30¢, and some were even a single penny. So that's damn near free. Other than them, the only free games I've ever gotten (free on my end at least) were games that I won here in the Bid For Rewards section of the forum.
  12. Point taken. I used them when we still had CRT monitors. I forgot to say that it could be different under new technology. I dropped my brain somewhere in the 90's. I still haven't found the bastard.
  13. Microsoft is shady as hell. They're buying up everything that they can, so they can charge extortionate prices if any other studio like Sony or Nintendo show interest in one of their games. Sure, having exclusives is fine. We're never going to see a Mario or Zelda game on any system other than Nintendo. I'm not including the ones that were leased out to the CD-i, or watch games. So I see no problem with having a couple exclusives. But with games like CoD, if they make that exclusive then everyone who plays it online from another platform is going to be royally fucked. Their link to the game is gone. I don't want to be forced to buy a whole new console for one single game. That's bullshit.
  14. Sorry I forgot to post the trailer.
  15. I wouldn't think there would be any consequences. After all, it was Microsoft's screw up, and not the consumer's fault. In this situation, once it's in the gamers possession, Microsoft can't bitch about it, so you can do whatever you want with it. Sell it, give it away, trade it, save it as a spare or put it in another room on a separate TV, use it for target practice or as a boat anchor. The options are all but endless. The only thing Microsoft can do at this point is piss and moan. And as @Demon_skeith said, they're not short on money, so losing a system that's worth less than a thousand new isn't even going to be noticeable. Monetarily speaking, anyway. Hell they probably spend 10 times more than that on shit soiled toilet paper every day.
  16. Like I said, to someone in my situation, it's a lot.
  17. You can get 3 brand new PS5's for that price. What the almighty fuck is the incentive to draw in the idiots that would go for it? Come on people, crack is not your friend. Or at least lay off the god damn cough syrup.
  18. I got mine directly from Playstation.com so you may have gotten one that was damaged due to mishandling by wherever you got it. So something internally could be screwed up by either the store you got it from, or if you got it second hand, the person you got it from or store. Big name stores like Walmart don't always take the best care of their deliveries.
  19. It depends on which PS you're asking about. If we're talking PS1, it's a pretty dead even tie between FF8 and Castlevania SOTN for me. I missed the entire PS2 era for reasons that I'm not going to get into at the moment, so I can't comment on that one. With PS3, it's a toss up between GoW and Dante's Inferno. I know GoW was originally on PS2, but I didn't get it until it was rereleased on the PS3. As I said, I missed the PS2 era. On Ps4 (and everyone will attest to this) my favorite is hands down RDR2. With PS5, I haven't really gotten started playing many of the PS5 games I have yet so I can't say there. Also I don't have a whole hell of a lot of PS5 games yet. On the PSP it was, again, GoW. Chains Of Olympus on PSP is actually what got me into the GoW series. I've never owned a PS Vita, so I can't comment on that one either.
  20. Pretty much any Mario game is kid friendly. You can't really go wrong there. There are some that are more geared towards the adult crowd, but not for any vulgar or kid unfriendly reasons. Like one of my favorites is FutureGrind. I'll post a trailer for it below so you can see what I mean. And if you're getting it for a young child you definitely need to put a memory card in it to expand your space for games, and then buy DDL's instead of carts. That way he can't lose his games when he wants to play it. So I recommend going to the Nintendo eShop through your Switch and buying games that you think are appropriate for him. It's a lot easier than going to Walmart or Gamestop, there's IMMENSELY more options there, and there's always games that are on sale. If there's anything that you or your partner want to play that's more adult oriented, you can always buy the carts for yourselves, so that he can't play them. Nintendo Switch offers a lot of options for a lot of things. Also, if you're looking for games and one or two spark interest but you don't want to buy them at that moment, there's a wishlist that you can put them in to keep them handy for whenever you think the time is right to buy it. And your wishlist itself never expires.
  21. I have my hard drive partitioned off into two drives. On the C drive, there is 4.68g, and on the D drive there is 874g of free open space. The C drive is partitioned to 222g, and the D drive is partitioned for 931g. In total space I have more than a terabyte of space, so I'm pretty well set.
  22. The pre-season went pretty good this year. We (Red Wings) beat the Leafs last night. Unfortunately we lost to the Caps Wednesday. We're going up against the Leafs again tonight to officially kick off the 22-23 season. Hopefully we can win again to keep them down. They're one of the better teams in the league, so hopefully we're going strong when we see them for the first official season game starts tonight.
