I've been there. It was common with me when I was younger to go two weeks without any real sleep. Just micro sleeps here and there. 15 minutes here, 23 minutes there. But when my body finally said fuck this, I would finally fall asleep, but usually sleep for at least 36 hours straight. Now I'm on medication to help with that. I also take a Melatonin every night. It works great to knock me out. I don't have to use my Ambien but on a rare occasion anymore.

Does the Internet need controls or censorship?
The Blackangel replied to Nebulous's topic in General Chat
Misinformation and disinformation should be removed and banned as soon as it's found. But banning someone for their beliefs is going too far. you might as well ban religions that you find stupid, and ethnicity's you don't like. It's a slippery slope to go down. I agree that flat earthers are stupid. I don't think there's a single rational person who would disagree. "Stupid" is like beauty. It's in the eye of the beholder. There are things I think are stupid, that the majority of (if not all) the members here would disagree with me about. Like I said, it's a slippery slope and can easily go too far. There was recently a guy from New York who went to Florida, got 100 books banned, and has a list of 3,600 more that he wants banned. My question is, if he's from New York, why the hell does he care about any books a state 1,000 miles away has banned? Shouldn't he be working on that in his home state? -
I feel like a jackass now. At least I had a use for those socks and gloves, despite having a million socks already.

If it will take you away from abusive parents who literally beat you every day, it can actually solve a lot. It can also potentially save lives from suicide attempts. I can't tell you how many times I tried to commit suicide. Not that anyone would have cared.

I don't think anyone would be surprised. If they are, they've never heard of the Kardashian Klan. Everything about them is pure entitlement. Their mother is the living embodiment of greed. The others all think the world owes them. Apparently we're supposed to consider it the greatest honor imaginable to be on the same planet as them and share in their oxygen. There was a story reported a couple years ago about Kendall and one of her model friends going to a McDonalds just to laugh at the "peasants". The majority of them believe that no man is worthy of them. The only men that would have a chance all have to be perfect, muscular, rich assholes. If they drive anything that the Kardashian Klan considers below a Bentley, they're shit out of luck. I would love to see that "family" lose everything they have. Maybe see them working at McDonalds after selling off their mansions and high end retail items. Sell a couple Hermes Birkin's girls. You don't need a $30,000 purse. It would be awesome to see them having to carry a $20 purse from Walmart. It's where I get mine and they're great. They do the job perfectly. I can use that $30,000 for a hell of a lot better things. Pay off some loans, credit cards, that sort of thing, and then put the rest into savings.

We all have the systems and games that we love. We all have systems and games that we hate. But what is a game you love that was featured on a system you despise? For me it has to be Soul Calibur II on the Game Cube. I love the game. I mainly wanted that one because it featured Link as a fighter. But I hate the Game Cube. The controller was so jacked up that half the buttons on the damn thing were useless. I didn't mind the mini-discs. I didn't mind the shape of the thing. Being compact like that really was a bonus for it. But the game selection on it was subpar at best. Also that was the system they released the worst abomination from the entire Legend Of Zelda franchise. Wind Waker was sickening from the start. It was so disgustingly ugly. A damn cartoon for what had previously been a great series. At least on the Wii they went back to graphics that weren't drawn by a 3 year old. I'm not a fan of the Wii either. The motion control was neat at first, but after 2 weeks the novelty had passed. The only game on Wii that I liked despite hating the system is Mario Kart. Being able to steer that game with a steering wheel instead of a typical handheld controller was really cool. But that game alone wasn't able to save the system from my hate. Kinda interesting that I'm a Nintendo girl, but hate 2 of their most recent systems. I've never been a fan of Xbox in general, but I'm leaving that one off, as I don't hate it as much as I hate these 2 Nintendo's.

And here I am sitting on 6 NES consoles, 4 SNES consoles, and 3 N64 consoles. And that's not counting the ones that are CIB. And before anyone asks, NO they are not that sickening flashback bullshit. They are real Nintendo systems.

I don't think there's any kind of obedience training for birds. It's a moot point now concerning him. We rehomed him. We didn't have a whole lot of time with him, so we weren't all that attached yet. I still have wounds that are trying to heal. And this was a month ago.

If I remember correctly, the only sharks that are true man eaters are bull sharks. It may be nurse sharks, but I'm all but certain it's bull sharks. But I think the reason behind that is that bull sharks are opportunistic eaters and will eat pretty much anything they can get in their jaws. They don't really care what it is. Also to my knowledge they're the only shark that can survive just fine in both fresh water and salt water. I've also heard that hammerheads are man eaters too, but as of right now I'm not sure about that.

Do you have any desire to have kids?

What's a game franchise that you enjoyed, but quit being made and you can't figure out why? The biggest one for me is Castlevania. It was made up through the PS3, but after that, as far (as I know) there haven't been any releases for any system. I've never seen any articles about it. Lords Of Shadows II is last last one I'm aware of. And it was one of the most popular franchises out there. So I'm at a loss. What about you?

Castlevania SOTN It's one that I'll never give up. I freaking love it. It's hands down one of the best Castlevania games ever made, if not THE best one.

Has any video game ever changed how you approach games as a whole?
The Blackangel replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
I would have to say RDR2. Before I got into it, I was almost exclusively into fantasy style games. Zelda is a good example of what I'm referring to. I was also NEVER into western games as a whole. But after @Rain Dew introduced me to the game, my horizons vastly expanded. Now, unless it's a military based game, I look at about everything. I don't count anything out except military games. -
Which game release was the biggest letdown?
The Blackangel replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
I would have to say Zelda on Switch. Both Links Awakening and BOTW. I say Links Awakening because after playing it on Game Boy for so long, the changes and alterations were a lot less than I was expecting. With BOTW, everything about it. I refuse to play Zelda on Game Cube because it's nothing but a damn cartoon. Which unless the game is supposed to be a cartoon (Cuphead for example) then don't make it one. Which is unfortunately one feature of BOTW. Also the gameplay is bullshit. Weapons breaking after about 5 hits is one major turnoff as well for me. I have tried and tried to get into it, but after about 20 minutes I have to quit. It's like winning the lottery, but only getting a dollar a week. -
I've never opened it. It's still sitting on my shelf, as sealed as the day it was made.

When I first read that, I was thinking it was something made from actual frogs. Like a crab cake but with frog meat instead. Frog legs are great, but I fail to see how frog cakes like I was thinking could really be done. Or if it would even be any good. Now for my question: Whats one band you absolutely despise?
-
I haven't done anything of that nature since boot camp. Nowadays, I couldn't do it whether or not I wanted to anyway. Muscular Dystrophy is a bitch.
-
Yes, I've gotten a few. I got socks one year from @Rain Dew's parents. There was another year that all I got was a pair of plain old jersey gloves. I was thinking it would be less of a slap in the face if they just got me nothing instead. Now, (for reasons I won't get into) I have no contact with them and they no longer even think about getting anything for me. I've always hated the xmas season anyway. It's too damn expensive. Also @Rain Dew and I enjoy spending money on each other, and I always overspend. I don't get much of anything every month, about $1k, so it's hard for me to pay bills and get her gifts. Sometimes all I can afford is a gift card to whatever store she wants. I know that's a really cheap of me to do, but she's really hard to buy for. Also I have always sucked at getting gifts for anyone.

I don't really have to go since I have no teeth. They were all pulled except for a couple on the top. I can't wear my dentures because they hurt like hell. Also trying to eat with them is impossible because I can't feel my food in my mouth.

Yes. With two abusive parents, I had no choice. I was hoping I would be found and placed with a foster family or something. But when I was found, I was sent right back to them. That was just one more in a lifetime of beatings.

How quickly do you forget (some) video game content?
The Blackangel replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It depends on how much I like that game, and when I last played it. If it's one of my top 5, I usually don't forget much, if anything at all. But if it's not, and I don't play it for an extended period, then I can forget a lot and really easily. For example, I haven't played A Boy And His Blob in a few decades. So I don't have a clue at this point as to what jellybeans do what. I don't know why it's been so long since I've played it. Possibly because I've been into playing other games. -
Are parents ultimately responsible for what their kids play?
The Blackangel replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
Yes they are. Parents are the ones who buy the games for the kid up to a certain point. Once they're teenagers, they can buy the games themselves assuming they have a way of making their own money. Now there's some games that can't be legally sold to anyone under 18, but most game stores like GameStop don't exactly ask for an ID. After all, it ain't beer they're selling. They ring the game(s) up and send you on your way so they can help the next customer. But especially when the kids are younger, parents are entirely responsible for what their kids are playing. They need to buy age appropriate games, so the child doesn't pick up any bad habits. For example, I have no civil words for a parent that would let their 5 year old child play RDR2, or any GTA games. Also, kids of that age don't have the emotional maturity to understand the kind of game they're playing when it comes to adult themed games. -
Yet what game?

Do you procrastinate on certain missions in your games? If so is it just because you want to keep the game at a certain point? Do you just not enjoy the mission? Or is there some element you just hate? I have a file in RDR2 that I plan on keeping in chapter 2. In order to do that, I'm leaving Micah's worthless ass in the Strawberry jail. Not only will I not have to deal with any of his bullshit, but everyone else will be happier too. After all, the only one that likes him is dumbass Dutch. I have no intentions of ever letting him out. I'll work on getting things into my compendium and stranger missions. If I need money, I'll just go hunting for perfect hides, which is a gold mine. For lets say two dozen perfect hides you can get $300 or more from the butcher in towns. Or if you prefer, the trapper. So there's no intentions from me of getting to him and busting him out of jail.
