What's he going to do next, ban black history MONTH? This is nothing but unabashed racism. He's such a bigot, I bet he's would try to deport anyone with dark hair out of the state to anywhere else if he could. And trying to make colleges tell him everything about their courses and deciding for them what will and will not be allowed? One of the scariest things is that at the moment he's one of the front runners for the republiKKKlan nomination in the next presidential election. Anyone who's not a right wing bigoted coward should be VERY worried at the moment.

To put it bluntly, games are getting more vulgar with every generation. The language is harsher, the actions are more violent, and the attitudes are meaner. There's one that comes to mind immediately for me. RDR2. The language used in it is language I never would have expected. For example when Lenny tells Arthur that folks may call him a "Nigger Lover." That's one word I never expected to be in any video game. Then again, the line was performed by a black actor, so what do I know. But later in Chapter 4, Sean makes an interesting statement. He's always ribbing Arthur about being an Englishman. But in a discussion around a campfire one night, he admits that he loves the English, but it's the Scots that he can't stand. Given what little I know about the relationship between Scotland and Ireland, that seems to be pretty common for the time period of the game. There's also the rampant racism that seems to be in most all games nowadays. Even fantasy games like Skyrim. There has never been an easy relationship between Elves and humans from any of the fantasy stories and games I've encountered with the exception of Lord Of The Rings. Twenty years ago, people would have been tarred and feathered for even bringing up the idea of such tings being prominent or even featured in video games. I honestly have no idea why it's become par for the course these days, unless developers want to make the games more to real life, more challenging, more relatable, or just for the hell of it. I remember when FF8 have Zell cuss several times, people were all but shocked. Granted it was still text on the screen at the time, but was still unexpected. Now any game where a character doesn't cuss is a rarity. Can you imagine a Zelda game where Link goes for his sword and someone throws it at him and says "Here's your fucking sword, now get the hell out." when the game starts? This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. I look back at the early gaming days where everyone was playing Pac Man, and now gamers are trying to increase their kill count of as many innocent lives as possible. Games like Hatred are just the direction we're going these days. Maybe not as brutal as Hatred, but still.

Definitely the month I would disappear into the woods and live rough every summer. All I would take with me was a survival knife, hatchet, and .410 with plenty of shells. I knew how build my own shelter, purify my own water, and how to cook my own food. It was the best vacation imaginable. I’ve always wished that I was born 150 years earlier than I was. Like around the time of the civil war. In my eyes it was a better time period.

Safe to say future consoles won't have physical media/disc drives?
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
As much as I hate to admit it, I see things going strictly digital in the not too distant future. Possibly within the PS6 era, whenever that comes. Nintendo would be the only one I could see being a holdout. It would land a hell of a blow on profits for companies. Games are all on Blu-ray discs now, which Sony owns the patent to. So if say Xbox went to strictly digital, and stopped using Blu-ray discs, Sony would lose a shitload of money. I hope this doesn't happen any time soon, but I'm absolutely 100% positive it will eventually. -
What are your thoughts on ads on mobile games? Are they too much?
The Blackangel replied to Shortie's topic in Mobile
It would all depend on how much you enjoy the game. For example I play Sudoku on my phone all the damn time. I hated having to deal with ads all the time, so I payed to eliminate them. To me it was worth it. Now I can just play the game, and not have to watch frickin' ads all over the place. So it just boils down to how much you enjoy a game or not. -
A few years ago I bought a Zelda ROM-hack on eBay that was supposed to be a SNES cart, but I received a Super Famicom cart instead. Well @Rain Dew decided to buy me a CIB Super Famicom for my birthday this past weekend. It arrived today, and I'm looking forward to getting it hooked up and playing on it. If the system is strictly programmed in Japanese, I'll just have to deal with it since I don't speak Japanese. Either way, this should be a fun time.

Is there really any point in a Series X over a Series S?
The Blackangel replied to Zak's topic in Xbox
The only real advantage of the Series X over the Series S is the disc capability. The Series S is strictly digital. In my opinion there is no reason to get a Series S, as you're just blocking yourself from an advantage. The system doesn't require you to us a disc for any of your games, as it has all the digital capabilities that the Series S has. Buying a purely digital console is one thing I have never understood. Get the disc capable version of the console in question. You're not required to use the disc drive, but you at least have the option. As the saying goes: "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it." -

Just to clarify, so that I understand, in the UK you would pronounce it jag-you-are right? Here in the states, yes we say jag-war.

Travel destinations and recommendations
The Blackangel replied to aerodynamik's topic in General Chat
If you're not American that is. While we're now allowed to visit Cuba, the tension is still ridiculously high. -
You can look on YouTube and find tons of stories like that. But the strangest thing is that some people SURVIVED being sucked into the engine. I think one guy survived it with only minor cuts and bruises. Aside from the psychological trauma of having just been sucked into a fucking jet engine. Some people are lucky enough to survive the unthinkable, while others lost their life in the exact same situation. That is not counting moronic internet challenges. I think I may have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. I planked on my couch and bed, then posted the pics in an online forum with the caption asking if people could get the message about how stupid these challenges are. But in my opinion, anyone that gets hurt or dies from this bullshit deserves it and completely brought it on themselves. Some of them are out of the gene pool, while others are going to live the rest of their lives having to deal with just how fucking stupid they are. I'm no exception. I've done some incredibly stupid shit that should have cost me my life, but somehow didn't.

I know this is off topic, and just a petty thing, but Mike Myers isn't an American actor. He's Canadian. That said, he probably has a closer correlation to the way the UK does things, as I think Canada is to the UK, what Puerto Rico is to the US. Correct me if I'm wrong on the Canada/UK thing.

How to make money trading cryptocurrency for beginners
The Blackangel replied to DC's topic in General Chat
Good tutorial. While I've never had the interest in cryptocurrency, now I have things to think about that I otherwise would never have considered. Emotions for one. I don't understand markets like this, as it's too complicated. But I do know how the market can flourish, and suddenly make a critical drop. It's what caused the Great Depression. Also, the whole cryptocurrency thing scares me. Things can take such a drastic turn, that a $10 investment could end up costing more than I can afford if the market bottoms out. It's why I invest in silver. It's tangible, and I can hold on to it at no cost to myself when the market is low. All that said, this gives a lot of insight and things to think about prior to investing. -
Some of these are a big "No shit" to pretty much any gamer. Some are games I'm not familiar with, but a great number of them are. With Cuphead, I've been playing it for a couple years now, and still haven't beaten the first level. That game is an asshole. But I'm glad they put Contra and Bart Simpson vs Space Mutants in there. Neither were any form of easy, but were a blast to play nonetheless.

You have to have friends and family first. Aside from @Rain Dew and one other person, I have none.

I keep finding new ones just about every time I play the game. Some are special/ultimate edition exclusives, but the rest are in any version of the game. I'm going to list the ones I have found because I want to see if anyone has found others. It needs to be said that I don't play the epilogue very often because I can't handle Arthur's death. I'm also not listing things for camp requests like the pipe for Dutch, and mirror for Molly. I'm also not counting things like Dream Catcher, Rock Carving, or Dinosaur Bone locations. Shark Tooth Trinket (s/u exc) Cat Eye Trinket (s/u exc) Hawk Talon Trinket (s/u exc) Iguana Scale Trinket (s/u exc) Eagle Talon Talisman (s/u exc) Gold Shield Native American Ring Shrunken Head Female Fertility Statue Viking Helmet Viking Comb Cat Skull Mask Pagan Mask Abalone Shell Fragment Petrified Wood Ammolite Flourite Catherine's Brooch Emerald Jimmy Brooks' Pen Meteorite (2/3) Penelope's Bracelet Quartz Chunk Reutlinger Pocket Watch Lions Paw Giant Boar Tusk Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Like I said, there are things I'm not including. I don't want to try to list all the dream catchers I've found, or dinosaur bones that I've found. I'll include items that I get from partaking in such stranger missions.

What are your favorite game franchises?
The Blackangel replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
To name the biggest ones that I'm into is pretty easy. There are games that I wish would become a franchise (Dante's Inferno for example) but I'm not holding my breath. Red Dead Redemption (especially RDR2) Zelda Final Fantasy Mario Castlevania any snowboarding game Layers Of Fear Outlast Dark Pictures Anthology God Of War -
I was completely unaware of the movie "Vampire's Kiss" despite being a child of the 80's. I like Nicholas Cage in action movies, but I never would have thought he would be in a comedy. Shows what I know. But either way, he is not the right actor for this role. They could have at least looked to Interview With The Vampire or Queen Of The Damned. Underworld would also have been a good choice.

Watching full video games on youtube
The Blackangel replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I've been considering not doing commentary on my videos, simply because I hate the way my voice sounds in the commentary. But doing that defeats the purpose in my opinion. So I would prefer to narrate as I play. I just have to figure out why I sound like a fat old man instead of a woman. -
Sonic co-creator Yuji Naka arrested for possible Insider Trading
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
He has gone too far. He couldn't be happy being a legend in the gaming industry, so he decided to be greedy. Insider trading is a federal crime here in the states if I remember correctly. He can lose his license to produce games, and lose his job in the industry. And when it gets around about him doing this, no other company will hire him. Unless he becomes a shadow employee. Even then, he would suffer a major pay cut. So all the money he embezzled from this would have to go to not only fines from the FTC, but to get him out of debt and living a very modest life. He screwed himself. It's that damn simple. Some criminals are pure idiots. Others a re pure genius (zodiac) and never get caught. It's sad. -
I have to concur with @Reality vs Adventure on this one. I have no confidence in Russia's motives. There's something else going on here. Also, I just wonder what country would even want any games they produced. There's at least a 98% chance that the games would be full of propaganda and brainwashing techniques. And with as greedy as Putin is, I doubt many people would even be able to afford them. And what platform are they wanting to release these games on? Almost every civilized nation has spoken out against the war Putin started against Ukraine. That includes spokespeople for the gaming companies. Russia's imports have slowed to an extreme, and a few countries have stopped trading with or selling to Russia all together. So if they decided to actually go through with this asinine idea, they would most likely be forced to come up with their own version of a console as well. Unless the games are all PC games, but even then, they control what parts of the internet are allowed, so not everyone has a computer. Russia may be a first world country, but that doesn't mean that a lot of its people aren't poor. It's a complete waste of time, and utterly pointless in my opinion.

Sony Releases Its First Accessible Controller
The Blackangel replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
It looks more awkward than anything. A simple controller like we have seems to be the best option. But then again there are people who have either lost fingers, or had an amputation or some other disability that completely blocks them from gaming. Obviously, I can't speak for every disabled person. -
I've said it before, and I'm forced to say it yet again: Crack is not your friend. But you know who would have been better for this role than Nicholas Cage? ANYONE. Get my favorite actor, Johnny Depp. He could totally pull this role off. Or get someone who plays horror almost exclusively. Tobin Bell would probably be best. No one has more dark class than Jigsaw himself. With the exception of Pinhead. Hmmmm..... Pinhead. Doug Bradley doesn't play him anymore, but he brought unrivaled class and elegance to the role. What about Bill Nighy? He played Victor in Underworld. Basically anyone who can pull off pure evil with beauty and elegance. Former vampire actors would be the starting place, and to my knowledge, Nick Cage has never played a vampire even once. Or even been in a vampire movie.

I gotta say, I love that void filter. It's as if it's in a dream or something. I wish I could play that one, but I know I couldn't. 1960 is pretty too. The fire ones are great as well. But that void filter really has me. It's as if everything is fake, yet real at the same time.
