Some trailers are just meant to help sell the games but when you actually get into the gameplay, it's no where going to be near what you saw in its trailer.
I think it's as a result of the material used in making the console controller of PS1 and PS2 that makes it get greasy that way. I haven't experienced that with my PS4.
When it comes to making video games remasters, these gaming companies aren't after making something unique anymore. It's on rare occasions that you get to see a remaster that's worth it.
