VR in its current state isn't really suitable for E-sports. In the future, it will happen at some point but the current tech we know as VR is very gimmicky at best and is riddled with issues.

The game is finally in pre  register mode and they have the battle royale mode too. It seems like too good to be true to see they getting into the mobile gaming now. It seems like everybody wants to own some userbase in android.

Aerielle del Rosario reacted to StaceyPowers in How long does it take you to adjust to a new game?
In this thread, @Christopher Robin  was talking about how it can be a challenge to begin a new game owing to needing to get used to the new mechanics and get through what can sometimes be hours’ worth of tutorial content.
This made me wonder how long it takes most gamers to adjust to the mechanics of a new game, plus other aspects (i.e. movement in the game, general look, feel and navigation, etc.).
It seems to take me about a week of nightly play to get really comfortable with something brand new. The first several days are very awkward.
Learning the new controls can be hard, as can learning how to control character movement (not the controls, in this respect—more issues involving speed and sensitivity).
Arguably the most challenging adjustment though is something more subtle than all of that, and hard to express. It is kind of like “motion sickness,” only not quite—just the overwhelming sense of difference in being in a new, alien world. I suppose it is because video games not only offer us new worlds, but create new perceptions of those worlds.
In a way, it’s like being dropped into a new body and having to learn the basics of a new existence every time. No wonder it can take a while.
What are your experiences with this?

Those little pistols in Fallout games that are easy to get near the beginning, energy-based and otherwise. They're really pointless after you get a better gun. I end up with massive amounts of unused ammo for them as a result (which doubles as currency, so it's fine).

All the fist weapons in Castlevania: SOTN. They are absolutely useless. Sure some of them up your attack in the beginning, but you have to be so damn close to the creature that you're gonna take more damage than you're going to deal out. That's why I keep my Alucard items in the beginning.

I dont think it will happen this year, maybe eventually in a couple of years, but games like Fortnite , PUBG COD blackout and Apex are still going strong this year. COD blackout is already having issues with the micro transactions and lootboxes and Apex already declined a little so maybe they are already on that path.

I will disagree with that, I dont think people will start to prefer the Xbox One over the PS4, nor they will trade their PS4 for an Xbox One, that doesnt really make sense. That might happen on the next generation though, probably the new Xbox will be more popular than the PS5, who knows, But definitively its not going to happen in this generation. Why would people prefer the Xbox one over the PS4 ?

I wish to see the battle royale trend ending this year. I mean I am tired of seeing all the games jumping into the battle royale. It is getting boring each day now. I hope some other concept comes up.

As in battle royale? I agree. I think for that note even the minecraft trend was worst if you ask me. I hated every minute of it when people were doing all business on the minecraft servers and trying to cash in on hype. It was irritating to see lego world overtaking in gaming.

I'm going through my xbox 360 library again and I'm planning to start another game. I'm still deciding between Fallout New Vegas, Gears 2 or 3 or Read dead Redemption.
Are any of you guys planning on starting a new game this weekend?

Have you played Until dawn? You should if not. It seems to be one of the good games out there in the market. And also the story has multiple endings based on your choices. Something like say cinematic movies come out.

Being able to play videogames with other gamers from around the world open the path to some really funny or weird stories with  random teammates or adversaries, Whether is a FPS or an MMO there is always that one story.
Personally I have a few but the most recent one today while playing Apex Legends, my two teammates a Kid and a noob, the kid was trashing the noob over the mic because he sucked at playing, he was constantly cursing at him through the whole match, nothing new this is pretty normal as you all know, and then his mother shows up in the background of the mic yelling at him for cursing and apparently she disconnected the console😆, needles to say we got our asses kicked.

What are your funny or weird stories from playing online ?

Aerielle del Rosario reacted to UleTheVee in How Controversy Can Bring Innovation in Competitive Games
A lot of people think that eSports comes with rules set in stone. This is false, especially with games like Super Smash Bros. eSports are a niche that continues on evolving and a lot of people don't notice this kind of growth. There have been many controversial matches in Super Smash Bros. history that have brought new rulesets and also resulted in the biggest cases of someone being angry and feeling completely cheated out of a game.
But, this is the way that we learn and grow as a competitive game. So long as matches as this exist, people will learn how to further evolve and adapt the game.

I am ecstatic for the upcoming John Wick 3 on May 15!!! Anyone waiting for this movie?
All I do is watch some Keannu Reeves's movies just to suffice my excitement. 😄 I bet the highlighted scene in this film would be the motorcycle one, reminded me of Road Redemption.
