  1. Sounds just like the frontman of a pop band to me! 🤣 On to the topic at hand. I think that "hate" is a very strong word that's thrown around to much especially when it comes to music. I might not like the music of certain artists but if others are I'm happy just to leave it be. "Live and let live" so to speak. So for me to toss around the word "hate", I need something more. So although there a ton of popular artists whose music I dislike I won't include any of them for that reason alone. Westlife: I can usually look past boy bands including manufactured ones like this but this a group that sailed through their entire careers with zero artistic merit. Just one half-assed cover after another, they are the literal definition of creative bankruptcy and false success via corporate manipulation. Gary Glitter: This man was once one of the most popular entertainers in world, now he is just about the farthest thing from that. I'm sure most of you will know why but if you don't I wouldn't even bother to look it up. He's best left forgotten. T-Pain: I'm using this as an example of something that is wider problem in the music industry itself, because he is the self proclaimed figure head of it. That being overuse of pitch correction. Now I am want to start this with a little confession. I was in that camp that was dismissive of "auto-tune". I wasn't even aware at the time that auto-tune was a piece of pitch correction software, not method itself. Since then I've educated myself a bit about what pitch correction actually is, what it's there for and how it's normally used. I'd recommend this video from Johnathan Young if you want to know more. Artists like T-Pain still really irritate me. I know and more importantly he knows that it's just a gimmick but it has led to this idea that this is just how you edit music and it grates my ears. Both in terms of annoyance and how needlessly stupid it sounds. DaBaby: He's a homophobic twat. Cliff Richard: He was cool at one point but since he slipped into this blatant Christian zone from the late 80's and he's facepalm cringing ever since. I've no real issue Christian artists or even Christian music. Alice Cooper (aka Vincent Damon Furnier) is a devout Christian but unlike Cliff Richard he doesn't bleed in to the ark of the covenant and spill it all over his work! He legitimately comes across as one of those creepy televangelists and this all cumulated in 1999 when he released "Millennium Prayer". A "Song" which was literally just him singing the words of the lord's Prayer with an unaltered backing track Auld Lang Syne. It is just awful! Milli Vanilli: Taking two royalty free sources and slapping them together unaltered is disgusting and about and creativity bankrupt as an artist can get... But at least it's not legitimate fraud! Tying in with the pitch correction comments I made I don't really believe, even among artists I don't like that any talents hack could walk into a studio and make a legitimate hit. You have to be able to hold a tune for anyone to work with you, but apparently this wasn't always the case. In the late 80's Milli Vanilli were on top of the world untill they caught red handed during a live show of using backing tracks that were recorded by somebody else! What a world that must have been. These days with everyone in the audience is holding a camera and artists relaying more than ever of the income from live tours rather than recorded music I don't see this happening ever again. So for being legitimate frauds they certainly deserve an inclusion.
  2. I'll just assume your looking for one of these:
  3. Until Sony confirms, just assume the game does not exist. Rumours might "keep your hopes high" but if Bloodborne 2 never happens you'll be crushed. You know what, let's play the hypothetical scenario that Bloodborne 2 is on top of From Software's to do list and it has been green light by Sony. Elden Ring (Feb 22) was nearly 5 years in full development and a couple of years before they released the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Oct 19) which was in development for around 4 years. So Let call it and say Bloodborne 2's development will be about the same at 4 years. Sticking with that current model that they have enough staff to be working on 2 projects simultaneously. That would mean that absolute best case scenario is that Bloodborne 2 went in to production after Sekiro's release which would put it into a release window of Q4 2023, but even that is optimistic. DON'T LISTEN TO RUMOURS! Whoever told you that Bloodborne 2 was coming this year is either a liar or clearly hasn't thought this through. Until Sony says so Bloodborne 2 is not real.
  4. I've not seen anything that confirms a follow up to Bloodborne is even in production, let alone coming out this year. From Software just got done with another massive project in Elden Ring so even if it has been greenlighted by Sony it's going to take some time. Don't get ahead of yourself and don't put to much stock in mere rumours.
  5. Under the terms of the Antarctic Treaty the whole continent is designated a nature and scientific reserve. There is no government and no nation is allowed to own any land there. There are no military bases or permanent human population.
  6. I'm not trying to be an ass here but it does make me laugh when Americans complain about fuel prices. It's one of the cheapest places in the developed world to fill up yet you guys seem to complain more than anyone! Right now petrol is about £1.60 per litre at ASDA (our equivalent to Wal-Mart). I've done the conversion and that's the equivalent of nearly $9 a gallon! Diesel is $9.70 a gallon, you yanks are friggin lucky! Despite this the taste in vehicles around here are becoming more "American", at least in semi-rural areas like mine. Big pickups and muscle cars were a very rare thing untill maybe 10 years ago and now their pretty common. I'm not really sure what prompted this, maybe it's all those dumb movies you keep making 😆!
  7. This might seem a little passive aggressive but I swear it's not. This is primarily a thread just to say thank you for the bombing of this forum of repitive shit posting that's not been happening as of late. So if you've got something to say or rant that doesn't fit anywhere else but would rather not post a new topic then post it here. Consider this the official thread of "Say whatever you want".
  8. This is more of the opposite to be honest but I still think it's relevant and Interesting. (Spoilers for The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion) In The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. If you get to the end of the Arena without completing the current Grand Champion's side quest in relation to his birthright, you can just challenge him and have a fight as normal. If you complete the side quest discovering that he has a vampiric lineage then once you challenge him he just stands there, waiting for you to kill him. I've actually played it both ways and he is a formidable opponent... when he actually tries. It's really sad either way. I guess there is MGS4 with the Beauty and the Beast unit but you have non lethal options to deal with them. There is also a moment in MGS5 but I think it's to much of a spoiler to really talk about.
  9. Ok I seem to have missed quite a lot here! I had to Google it as well.... and I still don't quite understand them... It looks like two recorders put together! I read your explanation and it seems like an interesting instrument but they seem like a lot of work. I almost feel like I'm cheating picking an instruments ans "easy" as guitar and bass. Which brings me to.... ... this. I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of brass instruments like this. To me they only really work as part of large groups and for the effort that it takes it doesn't seem worth it. Don't get me wrong I respect the hell outta this kid and anyone else who puts the effort in to learning it. But, I would probably put that time into something a little more versatile that you might make more of a career out of like the sax, flute or clarinet. Now I kinda feel like I owe VGR an apology, thanks to my initial post here this has gotten WAY off topic! I would like this conversation to continue but perhaps on a new or existing topic on the music sub forum instead.
  10. Yeah you got a point. My knowledge and memory of it is so vague it barely feels like it happened at all, it's probably a more painful memory for them.
  11. The head injury combined with the fact I was very young means I really don't remember much about it. I should probably ask my parents about this....
  12. I figured I'd share this with you guys, I just got a letter from Jehovah's Witnesses spreading their message of "Hope". For the sake of everyone I've covered up the sensitive information such as address', emails and the QR code but I wanted you all to have the opportunity to read this and see just manipulative these people are even in the UK where these kind of Evangelical Christians extremists aren't that common nor taken very seriously.
  13. An little anecdote to add to all this, because of this partnership Sony and Nintendo systems shared certain components. The design of AV output socket on the N64, the GameCube and the Wii is the same one on the PlayStation, PS2 and PS3. Just with the pins were changed to make sure that they aren't cross compatible (Nintendo's idea no doubt).
  14. My worst injury as a kid was a fractured skull in bicycle accident, I think I was around 6. I remember others telling me about it don't remember many details myself.
  15. If you play then you know better than me. I'd imagine a violin is more difficult but I think in either case it's practice.
  16. The metaverse has become a joke, like @m76 pointed out the "value" of the Nasty Fucking Things have tanked so much and everyone who was foolish enough to invest in them early are now just desperately trying to offload them. The problem is the only people that have any interest are MLM "Snake Oil" con men. Nobody wants NFT'S, even among the minority of regular people that understand them. Metaverse is pretty much a society of scammers scamming other scammers! It's actually kind of hilarious!
  17. Sorry @DC, I'm out to. I know you need sponsors to keep the website going, but I can't in good conscience get involved with something like this and will confirm I won't be checking it out. Much like @Shagger I have made my feelings about NFT's and so called "play to earn" Blockchain games clear on other threads and, let's just say they are not favourable. Even if I did believe in NFT's and investments in the metaverse, their value has fallen through the bottom of barrel and it's just not a smart thing to invest one's money or time in.
  18. See,this is the exact reason I avoid bars whenever a big game is on! Seriously now what is it about football (soccer) in particular that turns everyone into morons? I'm fairly sure it's possible to enjoy a game without being a load obnoxious bell end.
  19. I'm the wrong person to ask. I've been learning guitar less than a year and have never even touched a violin.
  20. I think this artwork was made specifically for this project. It sorta resembles the cover art used in some FPS franchises like Battlefield and COD but It's not the cover art for any specific game.
  21. Not exactly a game but, Rocksmith. I might have inspired me to pick up a guitar years ago.
  22. I'd say it's because they are have much bigger areas to load and tend to have a lot more systems running in the background.

    Burnout

I did hear about it around the time it was coming out. I thought about getting it too but it ended up getting enough mixed and poor reviews to ultimately put me off.
