  1. It's a shame that these companies don't give much consideration for that and it's not only Nintendo that does that as well. Sony with their Playstation are also trying to do the same thing with their Playstation 4. They are planning on not making any new games for the console and it's going to affect so many gamers who can't upgrade to their PS5. Well they can't support the old platforms forever. Next year marks 10 years since the PS4 came out and most generations of systems stop getting new releases earlier than that. Like it or not that's just the way it is.
  2. This is the second game in this franchise. If you haven't played the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn, then I very strongly recommend you play that first. The second game shows a bunch of spoilers for the first immediately. In terms of gameplay they have a lot of elements from other third person stealth/action RPG's like Assassin's Creed, Witcher 3, Zelda BOTW and so on. You fight both humans and machines using bows, your spear traps, and various other weapons. I don't want to say to much about the story so I just give a brief overview. It's set on Earth in a post, post Apocalypse and you play as Aloy, an outcast of one of the tribes in this World The Nora. Horizon Zero Dawn follows Aloy as she explores trying answers about her origins. As she does she discovers more about the world, how it came to be and ultimately how to save it. Horizon Forbidden West follows up directly from the event's of Zero Dawn where Aloy continues her efforts to stop the world from ending and discovers the ultimate truth of what was the root cause of the events of Zero Dawn. I think that both games are fantastic but I've got be honest, I'm not completely sure of they would be your kinda thing @The Blackangel. They are big open world action RPG's in the same vain a Assassin's Creed, Witcher 3 and Skyrim and I've seen some your posts where your thoughts about these kind of games are pretty mixed. I'd recommend trying the first game (if you don't have a copy they should be dirt cheap) for a while and seeing what you think.
  3. Spot on. Your choice of peripherals can make a difference depending on what game your playing but it's not as big difference as those idiots seem to think. The only thing that can make you truly better is practice, regardless of what your using.
  4. I agree that Nintendo are kinda in their own bubble and don't necessarily need the same amount of third party support as the others. With that being said the Switch's hardware is getting a bit dated and as developers start to move away from the outgoing PS4 and XBox One in favour of the PS5 and XBox Series X/S third party support is going to be a problem.
  5. I'm not calling you out here, I could believe her saying that stupid shit but I can't find those particular quotes, could you link them?
  6. Here are the highlights if anyone is interested.
  7. The Switch is a good system, but it's now running on 5 year old tablet based architecture and has it's limitations. You can't realistically every game that comes out over the next couple of years that have been optimized for PC's and PS5/XBox Series X consoles to run on that kind of system.
  8. DO NOT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH! I have made no comment on any of those people on any of those situations, so you are a liar. I'm not even even going to bother since you would just spread blind assumptions about me wether you know their true or not.
  9. That's not what happened at all. He claims it was consensual but addmited to using methaqualone for "casual sex" with woman many years his junior. Then in 2018 he was found guilty and convicted of 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to 3 years in prison. This was overturned by the supreme court because of some legal technicalities, NOT because he was later found innocent of any of alleged victims were caught lying. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cosby_sexual_assault_cases Seriously @killamch89, what it wrong with you lately? First you blatantly insult woman in sports and now you're defending someone who is at bare minimum an old creep who drugs young woman and a serial rapist at worst. I liked Bill Cosby as a kid but it doesn't mean I'm going to defend him now!
  10. The amount of money that the men earn is obscene. Yet many of their female counterparts even ones playing for top teams don't even make enough to play full time. Many actually have second jobs, it's absurd.
  11. Oh look, a video showing professional male players doing a bunch of dumb shit! Your selective bullshit proves fuck all you sexist twat! If you just go on to YouTube and type "women being absolutely garbage at football." Then what do you expect to find? Now do us all a favour and stop embarrassing yourself.
  12. Oh really? You post a 13 second video of some amateurs in a park and you think that proves that the woman's game is "just all around less entertaining and way less physical and fast-paced as men's football.". So yes, I'd say you are being sexist and that is complete bullshit! Don't believe me? Here is some footage of the ACTUAL pros. Now before you twist my words I'm not saying that, for the sake of argument that if you were to put the Chelsea Women's team up against the Men's team that they could beat them. I'm not necessarily saying they definitely couldn't either but it's safe to say the Mens team would have an advantage. Does that mean the woman's game isn't worth giving any attention to? Absolutely fucking not and that's bullshit I'm calling you out for. Even if you decide that don't like the woman's game (although I suspect that you haven't actually watched a professional woman's match in your entire life) that fact that it's there is still a good thing. The more that can participate the better. On the actual topic I agree in principle that male and female athletes should be earning the same, but there is two undeniable problems Despite the rise in popularity of women's sports over recent years (football especially) they generally don't draw the same kind of sponsorship in order to pay their players the same. This isn't how most sporting contracts in general. How much a team compensates their players and/team depends on multiple external factors like success, experience, merchandise sales, sponsorships, public perception and more. There's this interview with Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey who pretty sums it up perfectly: The truth is that although the gender pay gap exists in sport (and denying that would be the mark of a fool), it's exists for reasons that have nothing directly to do with gender. Leah Williamson and Harry Kane are both Captains of the English National Football Team but he is earning at least 10 times as much for the simple reason that the kind of money that would be needed for equal pay just isn't in the pipeline of the woman's game. It's not fair but no simple solution. Equal pay may come eventually but it's going to take time.
  13. I wasn't trying to insult you, I'm not even sure how you got that idea. My comments were not directed at you. I was venting my frustration at the anti-vax mentality in general. I guess I was a bit blunt and out of place and for that I apologize. Get well soon.
  14. Biodome, if you can sit through that piece of crap you appreciate all your other movies a hell of a lot more!
  15. I'm sorry, but not sorry. I got no patience for people who, despite an overabundance of evidence, put outdated doctrine and ridiculous conspiracy theories over people's safety. That is what anti-vaxers are. It's the same kind of people sending death threats to a 10 year old rape victim because she got an abortion outside of her home state of Ohio. They claim "my body, my choice" when it comes to vaccination or wearing a mask but want an 10 year old rape victim to go to jail for a longer term then her rapist for getting an abortion. So yeah, I may have been a little irrational and my comments might have been uncalled for or even off topic. However @kingpotato, I'm not making any assumptions about you or anyone else in line with these beliefs (in fact I'm more or less certain that you aren't this ridiculous). I just can't take hypocrisy anymore. So I'm going to call it out, fair or not.
  16. I just realized, @kingpotato. Are you vaccinated? The reason why my experience wasn't so bad was because I'd had both jabs and my booster. If you've up to date then you should be ok. I might as well throw it out there if you are anti-vaxer (aka a legitimate idiot) please stay in your basement and continue to piss and moan without putting the intelligent population at risk.
  17. I had it in April, I'd say I had one of the "less shit" experiences but it was still pretty bad. Hope you get better soon.
  18. I'd have to disagree there. This add on might have made it possible for the Gameboy to access the internet but it doesn't mean it was fit for that purpose. The Gamecom came out around that time with that capability and it still failed.
  19. Most games have sensitivity controls in the options menu, there are external apps and options within Windows itself some of which are explained in this post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/67442029/how-to-customize-gamepad-controller-joystick-output-sensitivity-in-windows-10/70698591#70698591 There's also Thumb Stick extenders which reduce sensitivity by effectively "gearing the stick up". I use these and although they don't suddenly turn into an FPS master they do help. Most people find that a mouse is more precise when it comes to aiming. With a mouse you can move the aiming curser in a target, stop on a specific point, then move it again quite easily. The same action on a stick is considerably more difficult because sticks will always try to spring back to the neutral point. It's the nature of the peripheral itself. Controllers have some natural advantages to. Their more ergonomic, designed for purpose and offer far better control over an in game character's lateral movement. This is especially true when it comes to sneaking where you can freely control how fast the movement is on a stick but it's pretty much a binary move/stop or possibly a separate toggle for walk/run on keyboard. If you've ever tried to play a sneak build in Oblivion on PC you'll know what I'm talking about, it's awful.
  20. Battle Royale, it might actually be my favourite film full stop.
  21. There are two "Meeting Places" that I suppose you could call parliament buildings. There's the headquarters in Strasbourg France and another in Brussels Belgium.
  22. Even with a new Prime Minister, even if that PM was from a different party the UK re-joining the EU is extremely unlikely. Setting up a new referendum would take at least a year or two. The application itself takes from 3 years up to a decade, so even if the process started today it would be a long time before it ever came to fruition. As previously mentioned we would also to kiss some serious ass to even be let back in. None of this being exactly helped by Pro-Brexiters like this asshole Nigel Farage's successful efforts of making us look like complete twats: I fuckin hate this guy! I know that there are still trade agreements between the UK and EU but I don't really know much of the details to really comment about it.
  23. Most of the topics about Formula 1 seem to be about games based on the sport rather than the Sport itself. I had thought about starting a topic about Formula 1. The sports section but I kinda though that there wouldn't be enough people interested to make it worthwhile.
