StaceyPowers Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 What are some games that you really enjoyed, but which were over way too fast?
The Blackangel Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) Castlevania: SOTN. It goes by in the blink of an eye. You follow the same path thru the first castle, then in the invert there's only 5 of the bosses you're required to beat to finish the game. He'll you don't even have to go to the invert to beat the game in one way. Just kill Richter and you're done. But if you kill him you don't get the invert. So I always use a holy sword when I fight him since he's immune but Shaft isn't. Either way you choose, the game is just too damn short. Still fun as hell, but too short. The Blackangel Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 IIt depends which ending you want. If you just kill Richter you can beat in under 2 hours easily. If you go for the full ending, going through both castles to fight Dracula, you can beat that in less than 5.
LadyDay Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Obviously Skyrim can be played for an endless number of hours basically, and has hundreds of side quests, but I would have loved for the main quest line to be longer. If you're goal oriented you can play through that pretty fast. And I wasn't good at pacing myself (being responsible for saving the world is serious business and must be completed 😄 ).
kingpotato Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Mad World Wii, it only lasted about 5 hours I finished the game in two days, sure it has a higher difficulty level and that might extend the game play, but on normal difficulty its just to short but a great game.
killamch89 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 The thing that still baffles me about Castlevania SOTN is why can't Alucard just kill Dracula himself. I mean, based on what was said in the game is that his powers were comparable to Dracula's without any of his weaknesses - Dracula himself considered Alucard the ultimate companion in war.
Bravosi Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I dont think I played any that was really short. But, to be honest, with time previously played games SEEM short now. All of them!
skyfire Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 I recently played the shadowgun warriror and found out that there are only 17 levels of the game. And it was kind of painful to see it end. I am not fan of PVP for such FPS but it was a good time with that game.
DylanC Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 I thought LIMBO was just the right length, but when it ended I still wanted more. Sign of a great game there, for sure.
killamch89 Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Metal Gear Revengeance is also pretty short because it only took me 4 days to beat the game on its hardest difficulty - it is an awesome game in its own right which strays a bit from the typical Metal Gear style of combat but it is just as satisfying. The characters are amazing although I think the story was a bit lacking (not a surprise since Kojima wasn't involved in the production of this one).
Alyxx Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 MDK Darkness II Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel skyfire 1
The Blackangel Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 If you're talking about the old MDK game on PC you're definitely right. It's a " dum de dum de dum, BOINK!" roll credits. Wait did I play a game or did I just make a list of names?

To its credit though the levels never feel repetitive and it has a bunch of variety in its short playtime.
skyfire Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Darkness 2 definitely should fall into short games category. I mean many of us expected more.
