Do you trade in your consoles to get the new ones?

When new consoles come out, do you trade in your old consoles to make up some money to get them? I have only done so once, and it was more for the 360 slim. I had dealt with 5 Xbox 360 repairs, and decided to trade my last repaired console and my games to get a slim. I also sold off most of my other games from other consoles, which I still regret to this day. 

These days I have no need to get the new consoles right away. I'm going to wait a year or two at least before I buy any new consoles. 

So, do you trade or sell your console to get the new one? or not?

Nope. I keep them all. I know for a fact that I’ll regret it instantly if I do, so I opt to keep them.

Not yet bbut looking at the changing console environment, I think selling the old ones on ebay and then keeping what we can makes sense.

In my country, such a system doesn't really exist so I simply sell/ give away my older console and buy a new one(haven't done that in a good while).

I tend to just keep my old consoles since there are still a bunch of games that I have yet to fully finish, or games that I just like to play from time to time again (even without multiplayer once they kill the servers for it off).

I keep them, there always comes times when you have to pay a visit to an older title, i know that backwards compatibility is a thing, but an old game isn't fun if it's not played on its original console

Nope, I would never be open to selling or trading my old gaming consoles for a new one because it's against my principles. I'd give them away to a loved one or keep it forever.
