  1. @kingpotato and I were talking about difficulty settings on Skyrim in another thread, and how we both felt compelled at one point to play the game on the Legendary setting. It got me to wondering how folks usually select a difficulty level at the start of a game, or what leads one to raising or lowering it in the middle of a playthrough. I would say that my goal is usually to have the difficulty setting so that the harder fights in a game are just at the edge of my capabilities. That way, I'm challenged to improve my abilities, but in a way which isn't overly frustrating. How do you decide on your difficulty level? Do you want to be challenged only with the harder fights, or with all of your fights? Do you want a game to be extremely hard, or just hard enough to keep you growing your skills? Or would you rather a game be relatively easy? @kingpotato @Alyxx @The Blackangel @DylanC @Executor Akamia @xXInfectedXx @SpaceExplorer @skyfire @UleTheVee @LadyDay

  2. I agree - a very good single-player story with very interesting and memorable characters and missions. GTA online, on the other hand, I'm not sure if I'm to call it Saints Row the GTA online edition with all kinds of hoverbikes and flying cars...In the early days pre-DLC it was amazingly fun and even the beginning DLCs weren't so bad but then they just went crazy with orbital cannon strikes and the whole works.

  3. Andromeda Strain does seem like it'd have major game potential.

  4. Evil Bong If you haven't seen it, all I can say is make sure you're stoned when you watch it. Also it's so insane I don't know whether to give it a 1/10 or a 10/10.

  5. I picked up playing Zelda: Oracle Of Ages recently and got more than stuck at one point just before finding the entrance to the 4th dungeon. I had the tuni nut, but couldn't figure out how to get to the asshole that fixes it, and was completely stuck. The walkthroughs I found online didn't help. Even zeldadungeon.com didn't help. So I finally said fuck it, and bought a players guide off eBay. That, FINALLY cleared up what the hell I was supposed to do. I have no intention of using the guide unless I get stuck like that again. Like I've said in other posts, I like a challenge, but I don't like being stuck with no way out.

  6. We need an Open world game of Game of thrones with decision/consequence gameplay. Other books that come to my mind are more games of Love craft books, the most recent one wasnt that good.

  7. Dark horse comics? They have made some really good non canon stories or comics based on the comics that they have released so far. I loved watching some of their animations too. They can make some good games based on their stories.
