  1. @The Blackangel I'm always happy to bait you, in a good way of course :) I think it's awesome you play FF8 over and over. The world needs more people who are able to love something so much that they continue to engage with it like that for years. @killamch89 I see what you mean, although what you said kind of is my point about Skyrim (and I say this as someone who loves playing Skyrim). There isn't much difference between a bandit camp and a dungeon save for the type of enemies, and only a few dungeons have really stand-out, unique features that I can think of. There are a few quests that stand out though, like the one where you go to fight pirates on an island, and the one with the Forsworn in Markarth. @kingpotato Good call about NV. I agree, NV actually has pretty good quest variety.

  2. Curiously enough, I knew an actual pilot who used to play those flight sim games all the time. I would think that the experience would be quite inferior compared to the real thing, but maybe it still helped him to feel at home or something.

  3. Wow. That's insane. It reminds me of that South Park episode where Stan was buying Canadough constantly in that dumbass Terrence and Phillip game.

  4. They probably expected low sales and not worth the time.

  5. 300 dollars is the most I have paid for one and is the most I will pay for a console, maybe a few bucks extra but I prefer to wait until the console gets cheaper.

  6. Those bastards actually did it 😂 they ported this huge game on a switch, this is the true power of the Switch.

  7. Cyberpunk 2077 release date was probably the biggest thing for me. I want that game so bad. Otherwise I thought Doom Eternal looks awesome, Outer Worlds looks awesome, Baldur's Gate 3 is probably gonna be awesome, and Nintendo has a bunch of cool stuff coming. Not much that appeals to me but hey, happy for the fans of Animal Crossing and Banjo Kazooie. And Watch_Dogs Legion looks awesome. That's not to say there weren't duds though. Bethesda's new Commander Keen game looks like pure trash and has me really worried about how they're going to treat the IP.

  9. Well, because it won't be on Epic Store only since Obsidian is owned by Microsoft, I'm a fair bit more interested in this game before the whole Epic exclusivity deal. I love the fact that Microsoft is giving the Epic Games Store the middle finger. You should also check out the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer as well with Keanu Reeves which for me is the highlight of the entire conference.

  10. That sounds awesome because it is a great game but I hope they optimize the game properly for the Switch. Wouldn't like to hear that the devices start overheating like with the PC releases.

  11. @StaceyPowers You knew this was coming. It's almost like you baited me.😉 Final Fantasy 8. It has great quests and side quests, also if you want to stop at pretty much any random point and power up your characters, you can do that as well. Right now for example I'm at the end of disc 2 getting ready to go into Galbadia Garden. but I stopped to play Triple Triad to get some cards so I could mod them into items I needed so I could improve everyone's weapons. I'm also just running back and forth on the Hasberry Plains beach killing Fastitocalon-F's and Adamantoise's to collect AP to learn a few abilities. I have the first 9 GF's, and I'm going to be collecting 2 more when I get to Galbadia Garden. I play and replay this game hundreds of times a year. I can't say definitely for sure, but I think this is most likely my absolute favorite game ever. There's only one reason I can't give 100% yes on that: Zelda. If it wasn't for Zelda, then I could say that FF8 is my absolute favorite game.

  12. I think it looks pretty decent, personally. Always wanted a single player-focused Star Wars game in an Uncharted-esque cinematic style. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s the best thing since sliced bread, but I do like the look of it. Will go in with an open mind and see if it’s any good. I do hope that we get a great Star Wars game oneday🤞🏼

  13. I'd love to have a chance to go someday too. I think the most exciting thing to me would be having a chance to talk to some of the developers and writers.

  14. I'd release it as soon as possible, tbh, but I was talking about the game being called Cyberpunk 2077 and it being released on 20/7/7. It's basically free marketing (as if they need it anymore).

  15. They look terrible, it is a fact and I am disappointed in that aspect. However, I am just glad that we can get to watch season 2 of the anime animated. It has been a huge hit and miss but I did enjoy the Metal Bat and Elder Centipede fight. I normally don't like CGI but it wasn't very noticeable in that fight.

  16. Just to address some points there: - Merchandising is a very different thing to in-game microtransactions (not to mention, likely handled by a totally different department at Bethesda), so that doesn't concern me at all looking to Elder Scrolls 6. Bethesda totally bungling their Fallout 76 merchandising didn't actually make the game itself any better or worse or affect its development. - I agree that Creation Club needs something of a redesign, but again, I'm not concerned about that at all looking ahead to Elder Scrolls 6. Mods are totally optional, and not official content. - While Fallout 76 was definitely not a huge success, Blades arguably was - even if players are unhappy, the game got over a million downloads and made over $500,000 in its first week alone. (https://www.vgr.com/elder-scrolls-blades-million-downloads-first-week/). That's a huge success by any metric. Whether they can sustain that success is another matter, but I suspect that they probably will - they've already made several changes based on player feedback. - Finally, I personally have no qualms with the Fallout 76 repair kits, and I agree with Bethesda that they don't constitute pay-to-win - here's an analysis of why (https://www.vgr.com/bethesda-pay-to-win-criticism-fallout-76-repair-kits/). I didn't see any widespread criticism of repair kits from people who were actually active players of the game, only from people on social media who jumped to conclusions due to misleading headlines. In fact, Bethesda promised to remove them if the kits were found to provide a tangible advantage.

  17. To be fair to Bethesda, the studio really isn't known for microtransactions. In fact, it's really only Fallout 76 and their mobile titles which have had microtransactions at all - prior to that, they had none. I don't think the mobile titles represent any sort of see change, that's pretty much to be expected from a mobile game, and I think the studio saw a hefty backlash to them in Fallout 76. Moreover, I think the biggest reason why they're in that game specifically is because it's an online multiplayer game. I'd be quite surprised to see them put microtransactions into a proper single-player title, especially since recent big games like God of War have shown they really aren't necessary for such games. Even if they did, I expect they'd be fairly minimal, and likely as a trade-off to paid DLC, as we saw with Fallout 76 - fund DLC development through microtransaction sales. That's not such a bad business model.

The best game in the series in my opinion. I especially loved the comboing system - it was so ridiculous and over-the-top yet it was one of the main reason why the game was so entertaining.

  20. The problem there is that SJW's are completely bigoted and intolerant. They go nuclear if something doesn't fit into their tiny bubble of "ME ME ME". In their eyes every last person on earth is required to conform to what they want at all times. Individuality is a crime now. If I wasn't in a wheelchair, I would like to stomp every one of them I see into the ground. They are doing nothing good for the world. They are only fucking up literally EVERYTHING they touch.
