  2. Hi everyone! I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your wonderful contributions to our forum. We have something really special going on with this community. We’re small, we’re tight-knit, and we’ve got incredible rapport between our members. Every day, we’re sharing our passion for gaming, and the atmosphere here is welcoming and respectful. I don’t think I need to tell you what a rarity that is online today. When I started VGR, that was exactly what I hoped to build, but I’m blown away by how it’s actually come together. And that is because of you. So thank you so much for your continuing participation. We do want to keep growing our community so that more great people can be a part of the conversations and relationships we’ve built here. And the only way we can do that is with your help. I would love it if you would invite some of your friends to join VGR! As our community grows, we’ll be able to offer more contests and video game giveaways, and that is something I want, because it is another way for me to thank each of you for being a part of this. So let’s grow our forum. Please tell friends, family, co-workers and fellow gamers to drop on by, check out the conversation, and open an account. We look forward to welcoming new loyal members to our awesome community! @skyfire, @kingpotato, @UleTheVee, @killamch89, @StaceyPowers, @DylanC, @The Blackangel, @Aerielle del Rosario, @Alyxx

  4. Heheh, I remember doing that with TV as a kid, but it was because of content, not the time of day. Smart :) My habit was to do as much of my homework at school as possible so that I'd have just maybe one or two tasks left when I got home that wouldn't be too intensive. Then, I would stretch them out over the rest of the afternoon and evening while playing my MUD. Whenever parents would come upstairs, I'd quickly hit minimize on the game, and then appear to be hard at work on the assignments. Meanwhile, as they were standing in the room, I'd be praying nobody was killing me or robbing me in the game while it was minimized, lol. The most dramatic thing I ever maximized and came back to was discovering that a member of one of the game's mafias had robbed me of all my money, and his brother was offering to "help" by giving it all back, thus attempting to put me in his debt =D Ironically, as a result of the incident, we became close frenemies.

One of the most popular are the ones about the Ashlad who manages to get the princess and half of the kingdom through trials, despite his asshole brothers trying to mess it up. A lot of our fairytales were made into animated puppet movies by Ivo Caprino, so that's how I was told them a lot of the time. My favourite is the one where the Ashlad employs the help of some magical friends to survive the trials of the king so he can achieve the princess and the kingdom and shows that friendship is important.

I had a somewhat similar experience when I was 8. A Doberman bit me directly on the ass. I don't know why. The dog just got it in his head and nipped me on the butt. He wasn't trying to me mean or attack me. I think he was trying to tell me that I shouldn't go where I was going. My sister was babysitting me and we had gone to a friend of hers house, and they had 2 Doberman's. Me being so young I think the dog was just trying to watch out for me. It didn't really hurt or scare me from what I remember. It more surprised me than anything. But it did leave a good sized bruise, and I think he did break the skin just a tiny bit. But I have no problem with dogs even to this day. I'm still a dog person. I even had a German Shepherd try to actually attack me when I was just a bit older. This dog would have killed me. The crazy thing was that he knew me and I had played with him a million times. I even lived there for a brief time. I guess his mind was going and he perceived everything as a threat. As for a person biting a dog, that's actually a normal practice around here. It's done to show dominance to dogs. We bite them on the ear when they want to be disobedient and ignore us. We don't do it hard, just enough so they know that we make the rules and they follow them. It's actually a really effective training technique and it doesn't hurt the dog.

    I miss the early 2000s

All I remember from the early 2000's was playing Snake on my Nokia 5110 and playing Command & Conquer Red Alert on my PC.

  12. To be honest, I can't think of any off the top of my head other than maybe learning more about car and bike parts and how they function from the Need For Speed and Moto GP series respectively.

  13. Modded Skyrim with Red Dead Redemption 2 a very close second and although I am currently playing RDR 2 more, Skyrim is the one game I am addicted to because you can turn your Skyrim game into anything you want it to be. The modding community for Skyrim is awesome and still very vibrant even after 7 years.
