  1. I have some different games I jump into on mobile when I'm running around. It's mostly more casual games on mobile. But, I'll dip into more serious game games too. I play Alpaca World, Dungeon Village, Marvel Puzzle Quest, Transistor. I still need to play through Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition. I have a bunch more that I had to delete off my phone for now because my phone is my main way I listen to music and I use some space heavy art related apps on there.
  2. I saw there's a classic Ninja Turtles game collection coming out in December too. That's on my list too. Still need to pick up Shredder's Revenge at some point.
  3. It depends on how you game on your phone. If you're right near a charger, no problem. If you commute to work on public transportation, or you're on a long drive as a passenger, you don't have a steady power supply and don't want your phone to die in an hour. It's a problem then. The only time I've kind of had that problem, where my phone battery comes close to draining faster than it can charge, is when I use my phone as a webcam for video meeting for work. Epoccam is the only non-gaming app that's that intense, but it's also a great app, imo. So, I'll deal with it.
  4. I'd really like to know what's going to happen to Tomb Raider too. I really liked the most recent reboot games.
  5. Mmm. Yes. The art direction in that is pretty on point. I forgot that I also like the Samurai Champloo theme.
  6. Super Mario 3D Land was pretty awesome. I still bring that one when I bring my 3DS around with me. How many here shut off the 3D on their 3DS? I've had it shut off so long that I almost forgot it's a 3D system in spite of the system name.
  7. Combat is pretty traditionally turn-based, and the plot is ok. But, I really like the Djinn system and the soundtrack. Your characters have different element alignments, and can harness Psynergy, a magic that can not only benefit you in-battle, but outside too. You can use it to solve puzzles thrown your way. Psynergy is linked to creatures called Djinn. When you equip different Djinn, your ability set can completely change. You can try different combinations to beef up your stats or open up new spells. Some of the summons are pretty badass for that era of game.
  8. I can't play anything that requires a lot of hand eye coordination or horror before I go to sleep because I get too amped up. So, no BioShock.
  9. I don't see anything coming out for the rest of the year that I'm like OMG gotta get it. But, I saw that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is coming out for the Switch, and I'd be down for playing those again. Loved the first one on the GBA.
  10. The Cowboy Bebop theme is always going to be my tops. But I like, the Lain theme. And the Gantz theme too.
  11. I totally forgot there was a Jonny Quest in the 80s. I'm more of an OG 60's Jonny Quest fan. Is the 80s one on any of the streaming services now? Maybe I'll check it out and refresh my memory.
  12. The screen for the PS One was better than any of the non-official ones you could get at the time. It's not amazing by modern standards. But, if you've ever played the Sega Nomad, it's way better than that. I have one. I'm too wiped out right now to go digging for it. But if it happens to be in the top box in the closet when I have more energy, I'll gladly take that out and plug it in to confirm. It probably still works.
  13. Wow. I'm going to have to crack open the binder for this. FFX, FFXII Burnout 3: Takedown SSX Tricky Devil May Cry Dark Cloud 2 Ico While not great games, Drakengard and The Bouncer are always going to have a special place in my heart.
  14. With tax and everything, I paid just under 2k on my Dell XPS laptop. It's been worth it. This has been a real workhorse of a laptop so far. It's not without its flaws, I've run through a couple of batteries, and I'm not crazy about the onboard memory and video chip. I'd really like to be able to upgrade the mem on this. But, it's light and quiet. I had a mac book pro from around 2010 before this and that was like working next to a jet engine all day.
  15. The Inspector Gadget theme song is awesome. There are some awesome shows in there. Needs more Visionaries and SilverHawks (aka Bird ThunderCats). If we're going a little later in time, I would put some Mighty Max, ExoSquad and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs on there too.
  16. Oh, totally. I find it really cathartic after a rough day. My only complaint is that I wish the end game was tougher. The Lynels and the Guardians are kind of tough if you're not on point that night, but Ganon should be way tougher. Now, the Trial of the Sword, I came away from that with a sense of accomplishment. But again, that's DLC and not core game. I might do another play through in Master Mode at some point.
  17. It's only 6 episodes. It takes place after about a decade after Revenge of the Sith. Obi Wan is in hiding and basically hamstrung by his own self-doubt and inner turmoil. I think if it was a full-on origin story, such as with Solo, I probably would have tapped out. Have you watched any of the other SW stuff on Disney Plus? Did you like any of it?
  18. There are no wrong choices in the original poll. Though, I'm kind of in a Golden Sun mood. Particularly the soundtrack.
  19. Yeah. YouTube probably saw they were losing audience that wanted to see live entertainment to Twitch, and decided to get in before too much damage was done. I wonder what's going to be the next big thing that's going to make both YouTube and Twitch change in order to compete. I'm all for competition amongst the tech companies. I'm pretty anti-monopoly. It stifles innovation.
  20. I've done a couple of playthroughs of Breath of the Wild, and I know I've put in at least 250 hours each time. Most of it probably waiting for the rain to stop so I could keep climbing.
  21. It's always the more graphically intense games, like the Last Remnant port. But I'm also using a 1st gen iphone 6s.
  22. I'm pretty sure you're right on that. So, if you're wrong, we're both wrong. That's possible. When it happened, it didn't take long to find an article about another Twitch account being mystery banned.
  23. Yeah, and always keep an eye out for new platforms that might take off anyway. Because the the established platforms reach a point of saturation where you're a little fish swimming in an ocean. You can still get something going, but it's tougher to do, you have to work harder at it, and the $ isn't going to be as good as someone who got in early. On a newer platform, there'll be a smaller overall audience, but you're more likely more of a share of that audience. There's always risk involved, of course. The gamble on the newer platform might not pay off because if the developers aren't seeing the growth #s and $ they're expecting, the newer platform could go away. There are a lot of different ways to look at the hurdles to streaming. Take all the angles into consideration, and go with whatever works best for you.
  24. Disney Plus. I have a bad habit of being on my phone while watching stuff at home. This was interesting enough that I wasn't on my phone at all for most of the series. There were a couple of unearned moments, and that's my biggest complaint. I don't usually like stories that revisit characters earlier in their life because you already know what happens to them, and that can and often does stop you from becoming as emotionally invested. But they managed to keep Obi Wan compelling throughout.
  25. There aren't any shenanigans that happen on this actual play that don't also happen on the many others that run on Twitch. So, we're all pretty confused as to why there was such an extreme penalty. Personally, I wouldn't spend all that time and effort building an audience there just to have it go poof, and to then never know why.
